Holy crap man, I was bored in my anatomy class and decided to do a speedtest and I was pretty mindblown. I rarely break 200kb/s in the daytime.
Anyone else getting this or is this just my lucky day?View attachment 973604

You do know you're looking at kilobits per second (kbps), and not kilobytes per second (kB/s), right?
900 kbps = 112.5 kB/s

I'm confused, are you excited about that or mad? I'm pretty sure speeds in that range are fairly common.
Nice I guess. I've gotten 8.2 mbps download and 1 mbps upload oncee before. I wish i took a screen shot. This was in Houston

The deal is severe network congestion in that market, its common sense.

Not 4G..

I pay the tethering fee and is my only source of internet.

So I'm from Austin myself, and if I tether my epic 4g ...I will go from a rarely 11 mb/s to 22mb/s?
(Assuming I'm at the right location to get that speed of course)
So this is what samsung was wasting time doing instead of updating our phones. )

Wait a week. They might be upgrading the speed.
I would love to see 225 kbps. I get on average 50-100kbps in downtown Toledo. Talk about unamused...
I just found a spot near my local Publix where I was getting 3 and 4 bars of signal with WiMax, which I rarely ever see in my city.
I speed tested and was consistently getting 16-18mbps down and around 3mbps up.
I'm curious to see how that compares with what everyone else is getting on Sprint's 4g network.

Sprint's 4g is pretty good here in Cincinnati. I get about 6-7mbs down and 1 up at my apartment with one bar, but when I go outside I get about 10-12mbs down and 2 up with 3-4 bars.
Here is a screenshot. I wasn't on wifi, I was in the middle of a parking lot.
I wasn't getting 3mbps up here, but I have before.

mine has definitely improved within about the last two weeks, as well! I'm getting about 15-20% stronger signal and speed
Not only that, even 3G improved in my area.

This is good to hear. Hopefully Sprint is staying good on their word and largely improving their 3G this year.
Especially looking forward to the Galaxy Nexus and LTE, even though I'm not in one of the cities getting it first.

No you haven't. Wimax used to be capped at 1mb now it is capped at 1.5mbps. Clearly your screen shot would have shown the 3mbps upload had it really occurred.

Not necessarily, wimax upload speeds were capped. No official word that it's been removed though or made higher above 1.5. Any of you claiming higher have a screenshot?

I'm apparently not limited to 50 Mbit/s, it was just the speed test app that sucked. This is with speedtest.net . Too bad the test finishes so fast that it does not reach full speed, especially upload. Is there any way to increase the test time?

Node might not help that. On my hone connection in North Carolina my latency choosing a sever that is 30 min away is 35. But if I choose a server in Washington D.C. my latency is 5 lol

The high latency is because the only node on speedtest with great speed here in Finland is as almost as far away from me as it can be
It's limited to this speed...but unlimited data.
