Please read these forums for Android & Windows Mobile developments. They are useful.
If you want Android, go here:

If you want Windows Mobile 6.5 with Android look & feel, go here:

For me, I had installed Android on my Touch HD (both sdcard as well as NAND version, one at a time), but I find the battery life too short.
So I flashed Windows Mobile 6.5 with Android interface. Now I am happy with my phone.

You want an original HTC ROM with Windows Mobile 6.1? - There is none. They only have a ROM update sometime in 2009 and some minor patches also around the same year. Nothing after that.
If you want an upgrade to a custom ROM with Windows Mobile 6.5, then try this thread:

No, in your case you should buy a HTC DESIRE HD.
SCNR...
Ok, serious now.
AFAIK you have to upgrade your Radio-Rom to at least 2.08.x or higher, I don't know exactly.
Btw. why don't you read this thread?

XDA is really helpful. I have been using galaxy nexus>galaxy note and root/flash following the XDA.
Recently my friend bought a HD2 for fun and he recommend me to buy one so I buy a new T-mobile HD2.
It's still shipping but I wish I could start reading the root/flash processes.
My phone is in stock WM and radio, I would like to keep the radio band 1700/2100 for 3G.
I am just an Android lovers, flashing and rooting are just for a better experience. I will use my phone for navigating, playing apps, text, call and browsing the net...
I have a few question about root/flash:
These question may be existed in the past but I am too lazy to look for them one by one, so I hope you guys can help me with your kindness
1)What is the model name for my T-mobile HD2? (Leo? T8585?)
2)Are all the ROMs can be flashed for T-mobile HD2?
3)Is there something like hspl...required to flash?? Is that a "must" do step?
4)If I would like to have htc sense and Android 4.X at the same time, do you guys have any suggestion? (Stable, daily use ROM)
5)When I am flashing ROM, will there be a change in radio? coz I need 1700/2100 for 3g
6)Which recovery.img is the best right now?
THANKS:angel::angel::angel::angel:
You need to be a little less lazy...start off with the sickies...then go along..read through the different ways to put android..nand/ sd/ native sd.....the more you read, the fun it is....to explore great things about hd2....also use the search tab....everything is there.
Also give a try of windows phone 7 also on your hd2...who knows, you may like it...or you can have both..wp7 and android...(isnt that fun about?)

Yes, you must flash "HSPL" before using Android or WP7. (It is a must and a one-time-only step)

I dunno if the files themselves are still there but the Blackout ICS Alpha did technically work although that was discontinued a long time ago.
Sorry, I have no idea.
Nah, radio doesn't change when flashing Android ROMs or when flashing custom WinMo ROMs. Only when flashing WinMo Stock ROMs or separate Radio ROMs.

I think that was 3.0.2.5 or something like that right?

Just filling in whatever else I could.
@OP, all of your questions could easily be answered by searching, try it next time. I also read somewhere above that you think HSPL is rooting. It isn't, and whilst I can't tell you exactly what it is, the last guide in my sig can.

the thread and the searching engine are kinda mixed up everything together, I could never search the thing i want, instead I've got tons of different ROM.......
I meant a general forum search or even a Google search. For example, this is the result of precisely 20 seconds worth of searching. Flash it if it isn't already installed on your HD2.
In addition, this search result would have answered your HSPL question, this one your Sense 4 question and this one (first option) your Tmobile vs. EU question. See what I mean now?
Hi
I have reactivated my old HD Touch which now runs again under Windows mobile 6.1. I remember having updated it to Windows mobile 6.5 (German version) back in 2009, that process was very easy. I simply can't find the corresponding resource(s) anymore - and the ones I found online seem outdated, no more available or very complicated. Is there someone out there who could give me easy step-by-step instructions on how to update to Windows mobile 6.5? Then, please assist. I promise to pay for a beer or three

I will also recommend you update to your HSPL to 1.56.OliNex . When I had the older SPL, I used to face some fuzziness with the video screen, but after the update, the fuzziness disappears.
