Hi guys,
So i cant find any video tutorial of how to flash custom rom on xperia play.. A video tutorial is important for newbie like me, i dont know how to use fastboot lol.. Usually i flash my galaxy mini with recovery, and why cant i do that with my play after i unlock my bootloader..? If there any video for me, can you post the link please..

You don't need to wait for a video. There are several well-written step-by-step tutorials posted here. You just need to expend a small amount of effort to read them. Come on, Bro! You can do it!

you have to follow the step by step tutorials and you shouldn't have any problems with the phone , i flashed myself all kind of custom rom's , and i don't have any problem with the phone

I downloaded the repository of cyanogenMod it run gingerbread 2.3.4 so i am trying to port to Arc and try to learn and i built it, its generic and i tested it on the emulator and it worked.
now if i want to flash my Arc for a test will it brick my Arc???
i have the system.img but i am not sure if its safe to test it on my Arc and not briking it. if not then i will test and if anything happened i will reflash with Bin4ry's image.
unless you've modded it to work with the Arc hardware (drivers/ screen resolution etc) then it simply won't work.. so you probably shouldn't bother taking the risk..

Chances are u could just use flashtool and it would be fine

He has bootloader unlock and might be better to push Bin4ry's .img file.
Well yea that way would save his data but if it sent work obviously flashtool send me the cm7 over ill try n boot it aswell

It's impossible to brick the phone completely by flashing system.img. So you're safe.

There are backup apps other than titanium, a lot of them don't need root.

Try Firefox beta with flash installed
Hi everyone.... Can someone tell me what i need to know before buying this phone.Is there bootloader and can someone tell me more . Also i never had an samsung device always sony or lg and dont know anything.And when i go in bootloop how to flash original firmware with odin etc.. or can someone give me some guides..Can i unlock bootloader on every phone and if no, how to check that? Is there any code like *#1234# where i can check is phone original? And is there any way to check is phone original exept ckecking imei and this code (saw that code on youtube , dont sure about it) Thanks to everyone who help me....I know a lot about roms kernels etc.. but never had samsung so dont know a lot about it...
