Huge discovery for miui video wanters - Kindle Fire General

You probably know by now that video does not work on the miui kindle fire rom...well your wrong. To watch videos on YouTube download Firefox then go to YouTube.at the bottom of the page click desktop mode. Once you are in desktop mode go to a video then wait for it to load. It may say you need a plugin,if it does just wait about 15 seconds.sorry if someone all ready found a better way.You don't need flash because it uses HTML 5.
If this does not work then go to m.youtube.com then pick a video then go to desktop mode

YouTube Downloading

Hi, i know the touch diamond has a you tube application, but does it allow you actually download the videos and watch it later without any connections. or is there any other application that will allow me to download youtube videos??
Thanks !
Well I know you can paste the youtube url of the video on a site like keepvid.com and it lets u dl the file in mp4 format, and use the built in video player to play it smoothest
No, the YouTube application does not allow one to save the videos to the device, though I can say it is a great little application. They seem to have kept it rather basic, yet done a great job with it.
You have access to what I believe is all the videos from YouTube, so not like with the iPhone where you had videos compressed and put into a format suitable for iPhone.
With the YouTube application, you can Bookmark your favourite videos, search videos, see lists of top rated, featured and most popular videos, you can send someone links to the videos by email (not really looked at that feature) and there is the setting where you can have it on fast download or higher quality streaming and then there is auto which I think is based upon your internet connection speed.
To watch the videos, there is no better application out there that I am aware of. I also use CorePlayer occasionally too.
As the previous poster mentioned, you can access YouTube through your web browser, take the URL, copy and paste it in at Keepvid.com and then save the file to your device that way.
Here is Youtube downloader found on the xda

Why do embedded YouTube videos show blank in Opera?

If browsing a random website, Why do embedded YouTube videos show up blank in Opera? Is there a way to make the video at least show the screenshot in Opera and when clicked, open up in the default HD2 player?
You'll need to wait for flash to be available for the HD2 or you could try one of the flashlite's which can work.
Also under one of the development & hacking threads there is a flashfix program which may or may not work for you.
Well I'm not really that interested in Flash working right now. My problem is why won't the embedded youtube video link even show up in Opera. I would be fine if it would show up, we could then click it and it should open up in the default media player...

Youtube links in the Browser question

I'm new to Windows Mobile and just got the HD2 on T-Mobile US.
On my iPhone I was able to click a youtube link in an email or webpage and it opened the youtube app and played the video.
How do I do this in Windows mobile?
I even tried copying the link and then opening the youtube app and pasting it there...didn't work.
I haven't been able to view any video links yet.
Also, I can't seem to figure out how to sign-out of Google Talk.
In the HELP menu it says to select EXIT to sign out. I don't have an option to select EXIT anywhere.
Thanks,
Joe
i haven't been able to figure that out myself , but there is a way.
download skyline browser and make that your default web browser. skyline has the flash you need in order to view YouTube links.
Or you can install fixoperaflash from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=544770
Works fine for me.
@rickyoon do you mean skyfire ??
and i haven't had to do the fix opera flash i just installed opera ten enable plugins and i can watch youtube in my browser
