Android market Server Error - myTouch 4G Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Cant open android market i see here : Server Error and nothing cant open any1 pls help mee i need help

You can't open the android market? or when you open it, it gives you errors in-app?
The latter happened to me and my friend's Androids a few minutes ago. It should be fine now though. The servers were probably down for a few minutes.
If you just can't open the android market (Force close?) try fixing permissions and rebooting.

now the problem is, i can't seem to connect to Android market. i have a google account and its working but i keep on getting the below message whenever i try the market. i can connect to the internet and browse with no problem at all
i saw some threads on other units experiencing the same problem and they said that reseting the phone will fix this. now my question is, will this also work on my x8? once i had the phone reset, will it also erase my 2.1 and root update??
please help guys! thanks a million!
Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server.
This could be a temporary problem or your sim card may not be provisioned for data services. If it continues, call customer care.

Happened to me once with incorrect APN settings. That was after a factory reset. Same scenario, can browse the internet and all. But I'm using an x10. Might be worth checking additional APN settings with your network provider.

Cant connect to market UK

Hey guys,
Im having the same problem here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11361701&postcount=1
seem to be having a marketplace problem I was hoping others could confirm. Whenever we try to set up an account for the marketplace, the setup app returns "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." I'm trying to figure out if this is our problem, or something gone wonky on Google's end. Can anyone else confirm
I cant even add my normal account.
This is all after doing a factory reset.
Any idea what to do?
I tried the crack....
"UPDATE
Thanks to thebadfrog for piecing the bits together on this to figure out what was happening. He's also got Market Enabler available for download at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18721949/ch....tenabler-1.apk
Download Market Enabler, copy to device, tap to install
Open ME, select Settings List
Tap and hold on a carrier
select "fake this provider now" > allow"
This doesnt work as When you go to settings list It doesnt show UK carriers (Mine is T-mobile) and the ones there dont work.
Any help appriciated.

Same with mine. Though I only have the marketplace error for installing apps. When I try to install an app, it pops up the same error code.
I found this. Maybe it is what we need: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1157535
Well...that didn't work for me. Oh it let me download the apps in the marketplace but it won't install them because the "marketplace isn't available at the moment".

Android Market - Server error on search

Hi
I get a "network error has occurred" only when I use search for finding apps. Apart from that everything works (downloading and removing apps from the market).
How do I fix searching error?

Are you sure Play store account is for the NX7 and not another Android device? I am using the same account for NXS and NX7 without any trouble. Just a thought.

I've had this numerous times on my HTC One S but not yet on the Nexus, the last time I was suffering on my HTC I discovered that if I "forgot" my Wifi network and re-registered it sorted it out, it hasn't happened again since then so I can't guarantee it as a fix but worth a try.
Go to settings in the app drawer, scroll down to "Apps" and when the windows load choose the tab that says all. Find Google play store and force stop it, clear the apps cache and data and reboot the device. Then run a Google sync and try the play store again and let me know if you get that error message or a different error message or if it works.

I would try fc Google play, clear data then also in apps fc Google services framework, clear cache and data. Try Google play and you should get an error. Then reboot and try it.

This worked perfectly for me on my GS3, thanks man! My problem was caused by restoring back to an ICS Rom from a JB one. Google Play seemed to think my device was still on JB for some reason and kept throwing me JB updates that were in fact invalid for my ICS device. I did everything else suggested and this was the only fix that worked, no more invalid updates.
If there's anyone that didn't work for, try installing it from the google play webpage on a computer. That's what sorted it out for me.
It's a known issue which is caused by a play store update.
Just keep trying and it will work, but Google will fix this soon.

no, it´s not, i´m still getting this error, tried every possible solution, even fully wiping, and nothing seems to work.
The same problems since 4.3
I am having the same problem invalid package file since I updated my Nexus 4 to JB 4.3.
I had tried every single tip I had found but useless. Some apps update well others dont.
Usualy the small ones are updated and the big one arent. I have being thinking ifthe problem is linked to the download manager. I have poor conexion and no so fast, and I have noticed the download progress bar behaving erratic up and down...
Any help or idea?
