Cant connect to market UK - Galaxy S I9000 General

Hey guys,
Im having the same problem here
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=11361701&postcount=1
seem to be having a marketplace problem I was hoping others could confirm. Whenever we try to set up an account for the marketplace, the setup app returns "Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." I'm trying to figure out if this is our problem, or something gone wonky on Google's end. Can anyone else confirm
I cant even add my normal account.
This is all after doing a factory reset.
Any idea what to do?
I tried the crack....
"UPDATE
Thanks to thebadfrog for piecing the bits together on this to figure out what was happening. He's also got Market Enabler available for download at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18721949/ch....tenabler-1.apk
Download Market Enabler, copy to device, tap to install
Open ME, select Settings List
Tap and hold on a carrier
select "fake this provider now" > allow"
This doesnt work as When you go to settings list It doesnt show UK carriers (Mine is T-mobile) and the ones there dont work.
Any help appriciated.

Android Market Not Working ? - Cyanogen 4.2.3.1

Hello,
I have posted my question in another thread, but I am aware that it is not really relevant to the topic of the thread. So I've decided to create a new post.
So recently I chose to upgrade the little android to cyanogen. I followed the wiki and it worked.
Did I say it worked ? well ... not exactly.
It seems to work. I can browse the android Market, I can click on "Install", but then, the download is stuck.
It doesn't want to download it. I've a "waiting to begin" with a gray progress bar, but that's all.
Same problem with Gtalk. I can launnch, but don't think about connecting. It simply doesn't work.
What did I miss ?
Thank you very much.
For the android market just cancel the installation and start over again.

I think I've tried this.
To be more precise, I'm from France, maybe my problem can be linked to that ?...
I've tried all I possibly can do :
_ Reinstall cyanogen 2 times
_ Cancel/ redownload applications
_ Try to download via Wifi, 2G, 3G
Please help !
Thanks
Head into 'Setting | Applications' and clear out the data for 'Google Apps', now you have to set up a new account for your phone, do that through 3g NOT wifi and then make your first download with 3g. This might work and if it doesn't clear out the data for 'Google Apps' again, create a totally new account (still only 3g) head into the market try downloading a application, if it works, clear out the data for 'Google Apps' again and use your regular account.
Hope one of the methods it works sometimes with market problems with 'Sense' roms.

Hi, I am also having the same problem with the market and with Google Talk.
I am running cyanogen 4.2.5 on a 32B Magic, did several wipes and a fresh install. Does anyone have any idea how to solve the issue? Tnx!
Install crashes
I've done the market fix, but installs always crash the phone. Sorry if I've no time to look at all the posts, just curious, should I? Love the rom, but really can't use it if I can't install anything. thx
Just upgrade to Cyanogen 5.0.8-DS. Freaking awesome ROM.
Issues with market please help
I recently rooted my xoom (wifi only) with the one click methood and when I went to redownload my apps they would start downloading and then stop and inform me that they were in successful
I can still browse the web and the android market....google talk is also not working
I've cleared my cache...wiped data....and rebooted none seemed to work
I just checked my phone (moto droid gingerbread rom from peter alfanso) and I am experiencing the same issue
Please help
Android market just works here if google talks is enabled and connected...

[Troubleshoot Discussion] all Android Market problems here!

i am coming across from a rooted G1, i had about 160 apps i have managed to get most restored with mybackpro but have had market issues since i first signed in.
Apps when downloading continue to show as downloading even after they are installed, is this just a syncing delay, I know I had this with my G1 at times when switching between roms and it usually fixed it self after a few days.
If this is the case is there anything I can do to try and fix this myself, its very annoying as the whole market is app is slow.
Error opening market.
Hi,
The Internet browser on my Galaxy S I9000 opens all web pages on both, GPRS and WiFi networks. However, the following applications give me errors-
1. Market - "Server unavailable. Please try again later". For both, GPRS and WiFi networks
2. Talk - It simply shuts down without showing any dialog box on both networks.
3. Maps, Gmail, Mail, Samsung Apps - Works only on WiFi and not GPRS
I do not have a 3G network in my region yet.
Since market doesn't open; I can not download anything.
Kindly guide me with this. I am more concerned about [1] and [2].
Thanks !
Existing adroid market app and android 2.2
Will the existing android market apps work with new froyo (android 2.2) after it's release?
Market Fix JF2 not working
Hi,
I tried everything, but its not working. I changed the build.prop (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=7309462&postcount=162) wiped the cache and app cache, but still not full app catalogue in the market...
Can anyone help me?
A lot of them do, some mess up but devs are usually fast in tweaking the app to work with froyo
Upgraded to JM2 and now certain market apps missing
Hi, i'm pretty sure i'm in the right section, anyway, I upgraded to firmware JM2 and now there seems to be the odd app missing in market, not specifically paid ones.
For example myplayer is not there, is there a fix available for this or has the app just dissapeared(could anyone verify?).
Many Thanks
Replace build.prop with one from an official rom

Anyone else experience this or any solutions to fix it?
Market Problem
Hey,
i can find all apps on Market but can't download any of them.
If i press install it says in German: "Download wird gestartet..." means more or less in english:"Download starting..." it gets stuck on this message.
I used JM2 and OneClick LagFix 2.0 market wasn't working. so i decided to reflash and don't use oneclick lagfix, but nothing.
Then i flashed JM5, bit it still doesn't work.
I also tried another googlemail account, but nothing..
Anyone has a idea? I can't even restore my backups, since i can't download titanium backup from market lol.
This has happened to me today too! Maybe it is problems with the market servers.. :/ Now I am stuck without any applications until it is fixed.
I have the exact same problem and i have also tried a factory reset, if i find a solution I will let you know.

Please Help, Messed Up

Hey guys, I've pretty tech savvy but new to playing with smartphones.
I have the Titanium backup and I removed some bloatware. (Bell Galaxy S 2.1, rooted, unlocked on Telus) I made out OK but stupid me never did a backup first.
Everything was fine until I removed Google Talk and I don't remember the other one below it. (I think it was goolge talk storage or something like that)
No when I boot the phone up I get Error com.google.process.gupps closed. And I can't download from the market. Everything else is fine afaik
Can someone help walk me through this?
A google search ?
https://wiki.ousli.org/index.php/Vo....google.process.gapps_has_stoped_unexpectedly
Thanks for the help but on my phone I don't have that option. Where do I find the place to clear it on my phone?
Wich one you don't have ? Try clearing all google stuff
There are no options on my phone that I can find for clearing anything google. I know how to clear the browser stuff but can't find anything else to clear google things. I found where I can sync my google contacts, gmail & calendar but not clear it. There's an option to remove the google account and I tried it but it says I can't delete the account because it's used by the phone and I'd have to do a factory reset.
Press your device's < Home > button, then press < Application >.
Select Settings and then Applications.
Select Manage applications.
Maybe All tab
Select Gmail Storage and then select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted.
Return to the list of applications by pressing the < Back > key.
Select Gmail and then select Clear data. Answer OK when prompted.
Restart your device (Press and hold the < End call > button, then select Power off. Press < End call > to power on).
I found and cleared google service. that fixxed the error on boot up.
But the market still wont download and angry birds beta stopped working at the same time this happened

And try to re-install angry
Thanks for the link. I am just a bit scared to install it because it says it gets rid of the radio. My market worked fine before I deleted Gtalk and Gservice.
Is there another way?
OK so just to clarify, everything on the phone worked fine before I uninstall Gtalk and Gtalk Services (I think that's what it was, it was right below Gtalk)
Can I put the Gtalk and Services back on to fix it? (If so where do I find it online? Maybe someone has a dump?)
I don't know how to install the marketfix without the market either, it just sends me to the market no matter what I do.

Receive a direct download link in your mobile
Sorry I should have told you I tried all the methods on that page. I got the direct link emailed to my phone and it just opens up in the market.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775154
Download on computer and transfer anywhere on you sd then use my files app to install it
Thank you, I will try that tonight.
I wanted to ask too, if I wait for the official Froyo update will that fix this problem too?
Well yes cause you will flash your phone with new fw
froyo is due 2 weeks away
not sure you want to wait for that long
The EXACT thing happened to me before. I did a google search and learned that Google Talk is in fact tied to using the Market.. I had to reflash my phone's firmware to get everything back.
I recently made a backup of all the default software of my SGS including Google Talk. So I have its apk and such.. I dunno exactly if you can install it from an APK..but yeah I have it. I'll upload it for you when I get home later.
I will just reflash the phone with original firmware if I can find it. Mine is the Bell version. Will the IMEI change if I reflash it with new firmware? Mine is I9000UGJH2 currently. No updates available through kies.

Galaxy s wont sign into marketplace

The other day My phone died completely so I did a hard reset.
Everything fine but for some reason I can not access my google/market place.
To get to my apps, I have to sign in through the market using my google account, Using the one I always try I can an error and also get it when I try to create a new one.
"Can't establish a reliable data connection to the server." Please contact your date provider.
Called T-mobile (UK) they have no idea, Tried some other forums which gave me an .apk but this doesnt work as It doesnt have a T-mobile UK setting... This is what I was given

PS. The phone signs in to youtube fine.
Very wierd.
I can make calls, texts use internet and sign into youtube so Sim card is fine
Im gonna only go down the flashing route if I have to, Reason = many people have had this problem after flashing so it might not even fix it.
I called T-Mobile UK and they took me in through some kind of settings with gprs as name? Didnt work though
I got the same problem. After an another wipe, it works well. Can´t not understood the reason, but ok, now it´s is working.
Try Clearing the caches and clearing any data in the market app.
to clear the cache you can do it through any CWM enabled kernal.
to clear the market data, go to
settings>applications>manage applications>market>wipe data
you may need to show all the apps
after that, reopen the market it should ask you again if you agree to the terms just accept and it should work.
hope this helps
Whats this mean?
"CWM enabled kernal"
Tried those options guys but still the same unfortunetely
Tried the market fix posts .
or the market fix in SGS tools .
CWM enabled kernal"
Clockwork Mod Recovery enabled within the kernal .

Explain those please?

Looks like some pretty advanced stuff Ill have a good look later. Bare in mind im a complete novice compared to people on here. But not that bad I cant do it.;
The last link you put up has barcode scan apps and of course this is totally useless considering when I use barcode app scanner it takes you straight to the market which is my sole problem
SGS tools download from Perkas stash .
Copy from PC to sd card open phone my files and find app and install .
But it does require a rooted phone .
jje
What do I download and where is it?
LOADS of folders there.
Ok Im guessing Ive got to download this Perak's File Stash ?
I cant find an .apk for it on google though, and finding it in that website is not happening?
The apk is under Samsung / APK /
jje
Ok will give it a try, Ill be back for advise as I have no idea how to use it. I downloaded that SGS Tools by finding the .apk but after using the "marketfix" It still didnt work.
dont know if I did it right though....

Android market Server Error

Cant open android market i see here : Server Error and nothing cant open any1 pls help mee i need help
You can't open the android market? or when you open it, it gives you errors in-app?
The latter happened to me and my friend's Androids a few minutes ago. It should be fine now though. The servers were probably down for a few minutes.
If you just can't open the android market (Force close?) try fixing permissions and rebooting.
