If you're missing apps from the Play Store, it's probably because that app doesn't support 1080 devices yet.
I've put a solution together in this topic.
P
This deserves a bump, the one downside to having a 1080p device at the moment =/
However, for me it crashes the store before it lets me 'try' install it.
recently netflix got added to the australian nexus player play store. i have the u.s. apk installed, and the australian play store recognises i have that apk installed (i can open netflix via the play store).
what i'm wondering is: could i uninstall the sideloaded u.s. apk and install the app from the store, and still use my u.s. account? has anyone here done that? will the sideloaded apk be now updated from the play store and i don't have to do anything? and also, are the apps different based upon region, or is the netflix app the same across all regions and it just recognises your region upon launching?
getting updates from the play store would be a lot more convenient that having to periodically check to see if there has been any updates online.
I am in Canada and i have American Netflix. I just use the normal one from the store. As far as I can tell the app is universal and the servers dole out the content based on your location. So using the store version should be fine.
thanks for the info. if the app doesn't update from the play store, i'll just uninstall my sideloaded apk and install it from the play store.
My google play isn't working in 8.4.19 but working in 8.3.x
I have tried many ROMs and its still the same can anyone help me if there is any problem on my phone or its just Google plays problem? Thx
whenever I open the play store on Wear24 Android wear 2.0, i see this. any help? https://photos.app.goo.gl/Zvh5UiDnggU845hx8
Hey guys, Came across a great APK which allows you to access the entire playstore on your Android TV.
Yalp Store uses the same (protobuf) API the android Play Store app uses. It downloads apks directly from Google servers.
By default Yalp Store connects to Google services using a built-in account, so you do not have to own a Google account to use it. The only reason to use a live Google account is to access the paid apps you own.
Each time you log in a new Google Services Framework id (also known as device id) is generated using your device parameters.
For us to access all the apps all we need to do is spoof our device ID with another handset (Nexus / Pixel / Samsung tab etc).
You can see a demo of me installing the full version of Google Chrome and also Youtube TV direct on my 4K firestick
Do other apps see this as Play Services also? I have an app that apparently requires Google play services, and it seems that the other method for putting that on the Fire TV 4k is not working anymore.
That's not YouTube TV you are installing. That's YouTube for Android TV. It's just regular Youtube, and not the live TV and DVR version of YouTube TV.
stuck on "check Yalp Store Credential" and no way tonuse mine... sorry...
