Dont worry about the format type, its yaffs2 but HD2 Toolkit will seriously do everything for you.

now i will Task29 > Magldr1.13> CWM 165MB and 2mb chache> flash ICS ?

That is correct

Go go go stuckk.. any ideas ? I'm with cwm 4 is this problem ?

Try a slightly larger partition than 165. Sometimes, through over-flashing, your NAND gets bad blocks, and (if I'm not mistaken) this could lead to a larger than normal partition being needed. Maybe 180?

i tryed with 180 and 250 but nothing ... still stuck on go go go

with 250mb and 20 cache ICS v1.5 still stuck on gogogo but ICS beta10 stuck on htc booting screen

Okay, follow this guide written by me a few months ago :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=16528026&postcount=7
In step 8, download ICS rom you want and in step 10, make it 170 instead of 150 and 10mb of cache.
Then report back your results.
P.S .. In order to analyze your problem you must follow the steps exactly as they are.
@Nigeldg :
Even if he is having bad blocks, they could be anywhere, they don't have to be in the system partition. They could be in the /boot or /cache (or even /recovery).
So he'd have to enlarge those as well.

ok thanks im on school now ill try when im back.. and is there any solution for bad blocks

again Go Go Go stuck i have SPL-2.08.HSPL 8G XE .. if this important

I've tryed everything you tell me but no result v1.5 stuck on go go go and 2.3.7 stuck on black screen with green HTC text

Okay, Let's summarize your problem :
1- You want ICS, and you have a T-mobile HD2 and 2GB sdcard. (With HSPL 2.08)
2- As per your information, you have flashed MAGLDR 1.13 and CWM 4 with the correct partition sizes.
3- However, you are stuck at "GO GO GO" screen.
4- You DID try Task29 but to no avail.
5- ICS v1.5 sticks to "GO GO GO" screen, but ICS beta10 sticks on the HTC bootscreen, and gingerbread 2.3.7 sticks on the green HTC splash.
Do and report results of the following:
1- Check for bad blocks. (If you find any, don't continue the steps, report back instead)
2- Check your sdcard for any leftovers of past ROMs . (e.g. .android_secure )----[Do this and try ICS again. If it worked, otherwise, go on with the steps]
3- Upgrade your CWM to 5.0.27 (I used to have problems with 4 until I upgraded to 5)-[Do this and try ICS again. If it worked, otherwise, go on with the steps]
4- Change your radio to 2.15 (and if you're currently on this, try 2.12) ----------------[Do this and try ICS again. If it worked, otherwise, go on with the steps]
5- Try HyperDroid & TBD. (Each one with its specific partition sizes.)
6- If none of the above solve your problem, roll back to complete stock and assure that your device is working well.
I hope you get it fixed.
(P.S : I have a bad feeling about the red part, i.e. it marks a problem beyond task29 or incorrect partition size)

I would give a +1 to this, except from what I've heard 3.0.2.4 was the most stable version (?), so try using the CWM package attached at the bottom of this thread (try GB first with a 150Mb partition)

my suggestion is to try to back to wm6.5, just for verify if your phone works....
try with the sd leoimg.nbh method...
this will flash 3.03spl (just unlock after)
see if wm boots, if not I think you have a problem...
if it boots retry to flash ics or gb

[Q] Troubles with HD2 - Typhoon ROM 3.3.3

Hi,
I have troubles with my HTC HD2.
Im trying to install this version
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=933951
(25.May.11][MAG/cLK]TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.3.3[2.3.4][A2SD][tytung r10]
This is my installation step by step.. So...
- Install HSPL 2.08
- Task29
- Radio
- Magldr 1.13
- CWM (3.0.2.5) 150MB
-partition SD Card 1024 and 0
-ext-sd format
- installation of the ROM
- fix permissions
- reboot
And my Android stuck at GO GO GO screen. I dont know what I have done badly, because if I use CWM 3.2.0.0 Android boots nicely, but I hear RoboVoice when I try to call. On the other hand if I try to install the old version of Android via CWM 3.0.2.5 everythink works. I mean the same version of Android but 3.0.6. - no RoboVoice, no bugs with falling applications.
I want to have updated system, but it is impossible for me and I dont know why.
So what is the problem?
thank you
Some details:
SD Card Kingston 8GB class 4
Windows 7 64-bit
maybe this will help ?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=945427
Yes, thank you.
But I think the problem is somewhere else. I really keep tutorials and manuals. The problem must be at version of Android. One big different between new and old version is AD Recovery CWM. For old it is for example 135MB, for new version it is 150MB. So I use 150MB as they write at thier thread and it is still not working.
If I use 3.2.0.0, Android(3.3.3) boots, but with bugs.. RoboVoice and so on..
If I use 3.0.2.5, Android freezes at GO GO GO.
Hey,double-confirm if u ain't flashing a CLK build as MAGLDR?
Try using this CWM flasher...it contains version 3.0.2.8...All u have to do is connect phone 2 pc in usb flasher mode (MAGLDR), run the setup.exe as admin, select 150MB partition, flash away...
Alternatively u can just copy out the recovery-raw.img file out and use it 2 replace the recovery-raw.img in the official 3.0.2.5 folder which was recommended in the ROM thread and flash away...
P.S. Try both methods first (performing a task29 each time) and if it still doesn't help then its best to seek help in the ROM's thread...Get help from its users.
MAGLDR of course
Ill try CWM 3.0.2.8. Thank You

First of all are you using cLK or MGLDR?
For robo voice, it is only on the first call, just reboot, call anyone or any number and just hit end call.
If you have GO GO GO screen, you are using MGLDR, so why are you repartitioning your ROM? The MGLDR, already comes with its own partition built in, no need to change anything.
Im using MAGLDR, not cLK.
Ill try your tips, so wait for my report
And what about falling applications?
I click on Internet application or Facebook app. Maybe 3 seconds it works then falls to Home Screen. Thank You
I have used CWM 3028. The problem with RoboVoice is resolved.
However, I have troubles with applications. Internet, Facebook etc.... still falling when I click on them. But at version 3.0.6 everthing works OK.
I dont know why ..
I tried everything

hd2 stuck on startup all android rom

hi
i installed many rom on hd2 via clk cwm .zip from sd card many rom stuck on start up but some starts but after restarting or powering off the the same problem with all roms plz help to boost ur thanks meter
Make sure you perform "wipe data factory reset" in cwm, to ensure the files on the ext and android folder on fat32 are cleared before flashing the rom.
If possible try a different SD card and sim, they can both cause issues occasionally.
Any stability issues on winmo?
Just give us more info about that ..
Are you sure you are using correct system partition size?
Any SD-ext? Sense (big) roms?
Did you try complete reflash? (-> winmo -> hspl -> radio -> clk+cwm -> android)
You (We) can check your logcat, there should be answer for this issue.

thats a fine fix, however if you flash a smaller rom to that, you will waste the extra space. so flash a 250 meg rom to a 400 meg partition, you will lose 150 meg, it wont be used for apps or data, the system will just ignore it.
Every time u flash do TASK29,RADIO,MAGLDR,CWR ,FORMAT SD,PARTITION SD then put rom on it then flash it. Everytime i do not follow that procedure i stuck on boot
Always Task 29.

Hello guys,
I am experiencing the same problem with my HD2.
I have Tasked29, flashe MGLDR, CWR, formatted and partitioned SD, then placed ROM file and flashed. I reboot and the phone gets stuck on the HTC screen. The flashing of the ROM takes very little time. Before I had this problem, flashing a ROM would take longer than what it does now. It completes in about 10 seconds or less!
I can't figure out what's wrong. I had to re-install an old ENRGY Windows ROM; better than nothing! This ROM is working fine, even without the SD card.
I had been flashing CWR 4.0. I will flash 3.0.2.5 and see what happens.
Any one has any ideas please?

Follow this tutorial by kylew1212 to install cLK 1.5 . (don't forget to thank him)
After it installs, boot while holding the back button > Settings > Repartition NAND > *After you finish selecting your sizes* choose "COMMIT" .
Phone will reboot, then go to "Recovery" and flash your rom from there.

NexusHD2-CM9 broken!

Hey Guys!
I'm a bit new here, but I have register to become an answer to my question which I haven't found yet.
I've flashed my HD2 with tytung's "NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.0" (with task29, radio reinstalled, hspl reinstalled, maglrd reinstalled & cwm reinstalled).
the problem is: after minutes of bootscreen I have to enter my Pin, I do.
There is given the text "Unlocking SIM" , while "he" do so, de screen turns black and I have to enter my Pin again and again. Sometimes he simply accept and go on, but then many process' crash! Process' like: android.process.acore , google.process.gapps, com.android.phone android keyboard ..
they all crash in a row and latest then I have to enter my Pin again.
Could anybody help me?
did you try to reflash the rom?
go to recovery, wipe data/factory reset & advanced -> wipe dalvik cache
after that, install the rom again.
I also have the issue that my phone stucks at the htc screen...i wait for 20 minutes now but nothing happens...i'll try to flash a bigger partition layout magldr...
Try the SD build
Hi, too bad you are having difficulty.
I am running the SD version of the same OS with do problem.
Two options:
Try the SD build:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1437463
Just remember to rename the Folder to ICS, then tell MAGLDR to boot from SD / ICS
or try going back to a stable ROM, remove all PIN codes, then reinstall CM9
Good Luck
i have already removed all pin codes.
also i tried a full wipe with task29 and used the 250mb system partition because i read something about bad nand blocks.
earlier i tried to boot some sd builds that were made for boot with magldr, but without any success...if i go to the selection of the android sd folder in magldr it just pushes me back to magldr main menu :/
my hd2 is difficult to understand because it doesn't work as others do >.<

First: thanks, that there are people which consider to be with me with my problem
yea, i've already reflashed the rom (felt like 20 times!) ..
and I've actually tried to install no sd-version, I kept it as a loophole. ^^
Situation now: I've simply ignored the messages that every important process is going to die and just clicked the failures away. after that he wants to reboot, to get access to the mobile network --- I click "Reboot" und have now a Bootloop ...
i also tried another ics rom without cm9 and got the bootloop at the first boot...
I dont understand why no rom is running on my phone...
So guys !
I've done it ;D
Have simply used the sd-version and it works great!
@RichieGKB: If you have any question to the sd-version, message me !
Good post Charles, it helps me.
Seems to helps you too guys. Don't forget to hit thanks button!
i tried the full wipe and also a larger system and cache partition to get the rom working, but it still doesn't on nand.
I'm downloading the sd version at the moment, but this can't be the solution for the future :/
maybe i have to wait for newer versions of this rom
ah I solved the problem.
I didn't change the system partition layout in recoverys .cfg file. I didn't know that i have to do this because i thought it would be enough to install another version of magldr
@weedstar: Thats not the problems solution.. next time try to fix permissions via CWM. Sd version is slow. Nand is better.

1. Download the selected ROM and place it on the root of your SD card (if you've downloaded it straight to your phone make sure you move it here)
2. Download Titanium Backup on your phone and use it to backup all of your apps and app data.
3. Enter CWM and make a full backup here as well (you can never be too safe)
4. Resize the CWM partition to the size stated in the OP of the ROM (e.g. for NexusHD2 it's 165mb)
5. Enter CWM and flash the ROM
6. Reboot into the ROM, then reboot again.
More details can be found in this thread (form resizing the partition onwards it's basically all here).

For resizing may be it´s better to take the HD2Toolkit, here take the option "magldr repartition"!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090783
Or change to clk 1.5, at first a task29 and than install clk 1.5.
After this you can resize the partitions in hboot without a computer.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402975
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1114053
Every step can be found here
Please read it before u do anything.
I will tell u some process.
First 2 steps is to be sure that u have correct HSPL and Radio on your phone. (however since u've already had android on your HD2 i think u have the right one--- BUT as i said just to be sure )
u can see more information on this guide page.
1. Check your SPL version. by turn off the phone and turn on the phone while hold volume Down + power button. --> this will bring u to red green blue screen. If u see your SPL versionis 2.08 then u can continue.
2. Check your Radio version. reboot phone normally
if u see "R 2.15.50.14" at bottom on the green HTC logo screen.
then u may continue.
if any of the 1-2 are incorrect then u should install the right one.
The rest is to install ROM.
1. *** Chose one of the ICS ROM (by chose from ROM LIST or just take a look in the thread) the important thing is to see how much system and caches space does it want *** then download the ROM into your computer.
2. Follow this Guide on how to install ROM using CWM.
if u dont have CWM then u have to install it first.
When install a new ROM it's always recommend to do a Clean install which means not only u have to wipe all data on your phone(do the factory reset, wipe cache and wipe dalvik cache) but also on your SD card - Format it to FAT32 and if u have planed to use A2SD script or any2SD app u might need to make the partition on your SD too.
** Since it will erase all your phone and SD data. BACK UP is really important stage if any things go wrong u can roll it back **
^Well that's slightly wrong. Clean installs are completely unnecessary. I've never Task29ed or wiped my SD card and I've never had issues which aren't mentioned in the OP.
Some of the things you mentioned are also a bit unnecessary e.g. checking HSPL and Radio (they're both definitely fine already) and the radio doesn't necessarily have to be 2.15, it just has to be a 2.xx.50.xx radio. The ROM list you mentioned, whilst useful, is also slightly outdated. It would seem to have most of the ROMs listed anyway but I'm not sure since it mentions NexusHD2 v1.3 and IceCreamTosti before it was changed to Unofficial AOKP (it's now back to IceCreamTosti but it had changed).
What I'm basically saying here is that it's great that you're trying to help, but please make sure your information is 100% correct before doing so, otherwise it may cause confusion

[Q] Stuck on boot logo MIUI - MIUI ICS 2.6.8 Ported by smokin901 [tytung r3 HWA]

Hi everybody.
Has anybody esle problem with stuck on boot logo MIUI after flashing MIUI ICS 2.6.8 Ported by smokin901 [tytung r3 HWA]?
I have been used the MIUI 4 by smokin for 2 months without any problems. Every week I was able to flash it without stuck on boot logo.
I was trying to make a clean install (as always):
1. Wipe (Task 29)
2. Instal clk 1.5
3. Check partition size (220/5)
4. Flash MIUI 2.6.8
5. without reboot install Bootloopfix 2.6.8
6. clear dalvik cache (as it appears after installing bootloopfix)
6. Reboot - and then my phone get stuck on boot logo MIUI (I left the phone like that for 30 minutes without no succes).
Did I miss something important?
I also tried to flash radio version again: Leo_RADIO_2.15.50.14, but it did not help. When I got back to 2.6.1-2 MIUI - everything is just fine.
Thanks for any advice what else can I try.

Due to Bad NAND blocks which your phone might have, you have less than 220mb when you partition your internal memory. So when partitioning, make a partition of say maybe 230 or 235mb so as to account for the bad NAND blocks
Hope it helps
OK - thank you very much for your advice . I will try it after I get back from work.
Another question is - is there any solution or method, how to check, if my phone really has bad NAND blocks or not? Or maybe - what is causing this bad NAND blocks?
Anyway - I will try it. Thank you very much for the tip.
i prefer this way. you can try if you want.
sequence;
first check your device if it is 2.08.HSPL, and format your sdcard ext3 or ext4 and 1gb. insert it to your device.
1. task29
2. radio rom 2.15.50.14
3. magldr 1.13
4. recovery 5.0.2.6 or clk
5. clear cache and dalvik cache.
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14;
Radio ROM 2.15.50.14
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1; ( contains task 29, magldr and recovery and also HSPL)
HD2 Toolkit 4.2.0.1

Thanks for any advice, I found some threads,

I am going to study, what should I do to check nand blocks on my hd2.
[Solved]
Thanks everybody for tips, I probably (as a lot of people do) have some bad blocks.
Anyway, I just cut out some application from ROM before flashing and flashed the rom even with lower (200 mb) partition.
But your ideas led me to stuff like bad blocks etc, so now I am able to understand things better and know that flashing too much can cause trouble....
