(Q) 3g modem on a500 ICS - Acer Iconia A500

Im sorry if my Q as noob and my bad english, Actualy i wanna put 3g modem to my iconia. after i read the other post the version of kernel is different to take kernel modul, i saw on R10 kernel 2.6.39.4+, and i cant found kernel modul like this support to running 3g stick modem, any 1 can help me about this or other step to apply 3g modem to this Awesome Rom…? Thanks for attention…

Sorry bud, but the kernels for the ICS ROMS don't support the 3g connections yet. Maybe in the near future.

SG tab 10.1 4G LTE flash ?!

hi, i've had a look about but cant see any threads on flashing a custom rom to my 4G LTE tab, im not fussed about the 4G working as im in the uk and cant use it anyway!
only my tab is a bit laggy and wanted to install a cleaner faster rom to my device, any ideas how ?!
cheers dom
Only options at the moment are KANG based builds, either AOKP build from Romanbb or the build from seraphimserapis:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1474088
As I'm in need of both camera and LTE I haven't tested either build other than early kernel tests so I can't say what the differences might be. Both threads have information in them though so you'd likely be able to read through and come to a conclusion as to which you want to try (or just try them both).
If you're in need of camera then you have to stay stock 3.2 as there is no camera support yet in CM9 builds. Also there has been no development of custom 3.2 ROMs for the LTE tab.
great, do you know if i can just flash it with a rom from a wifi 10.1 like this ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1488596
because being in the uk i have no use for the LTE part of the tab, i would just like it to perform a little better !
cheers dom
Unlikely. Hence me saying that the other links I pointed out were your only options.
You can TRY but it's very likely that the tablet won't even boot completely once you do.
I believe this isn't about the simple omission of a modem driver, and that differences go a bit deeper than that (kernel and more). I really have no clue though as I'm not a developer or programmer. All I know is others have tried wifi ROMs on these LTE tabs and failed, and that were it not for devs consciously supporting the LTE tab in the ROMs that I linked earlier we'd still be waiting for a taste of CM9 on our tabs.
you should try romanbb rom :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/show....php?t=1459287
It's updated frequently, and has more working functions than seraphimserapis's rom. However, camera/gps/lte-3g won't work on both ICS roms right now.
ah ok guys thanks for the help!, i think i'll just leave it until there is a better more fully working Rom out ;o)

[Q] ICS 4.0.3 Flexreaper and Huawei 3g usb

Is it possible to get 3g usb Huawei stick work with ICS 4.0.3 rom Flexreaper?
Thank you
the same issue
How can I make this Rom works with 3g like tegraowners Rom that is based on ICS and its usb functions runs great.?
Shall I come back to tegraowners Ics Rom regarding the 3g issue taking into account that I like this Rom most. It would be very sad.

Thank you[/QUOTE]
From what I just read in dev forum, flexreaper does not support 3g. Alexandria rom is ur best bet.

Pershoot Kernel + ICS (Stock Room + root) = No Wi-fi

I've just flashed the Official ICS Room and made the root my self ! I prefere the Stock room's, but when i'm tring to flash the Pershoot Kermel, with overclock, i can't get the wi-fi working, anyone can tell me why ? I know that pershoot kermel is made for the CM Room, but dont work in any other? If dont can you tell me a Kernel with oc that work in my rooted stock rom ?
Other question, is it possible to flash a 7510 Rom in a 7500 tablet ? i got the 3g version but i never use the 3g, and i've want to try the Task Room, everybody says it the best one and i'm curious.
Ps: Sorry for the bad english
Pershoots kernel does not support the official ICS ROM. He said he might do a one time release of his kernel for the official ROM..
Bummer
Perhaps I'll get my hands on it so WiFi will work, won't promise though...

Check the Dev section - The A1 kernel is designed for stock ICS. The XE version I believe is OC'd to 1.4 GHz if I'm not mistaken.
I don't have a 3G tablet to be able to say for sure but I believe lots of ROM threads have info where people have asked this question. Research the Task ICS thread for details but I believe you'll be fine - short of losing 3G of course
The A1 kernel did nothing to fix the issue on my device(flickering screen still...),I don't say it's useless though...

[Q] Chinese Kernel on Miui Roms

I tried flashing both MIUI gingerbread based ROMS on my A953, and i've got problems with both the brightness and the keybord lights; I read it might be because of a different Kernel being needed
I dont have that Kernel and i cant post on the Development section.
If someone has it or knows where to get it I'll be much obliged
Thanks

Which is best.....Jelly Bean Kernel

Hello everyone, I have come to a conclusion, KK is not a good base for any current KK modem, KK modem is just plain useless for me,I even see better results using JB modem on the KK ROM than actuall KK modem, but truthfully reason why I have seen many difficulties with my provider being T-Mobile in USA, I see a lot of hit and miss with getting signal but when I go to a JB ROM which is old and use a JB modem I see wonderful reception and JB base for any ROM seems to be very stable.
Well I know it has been a while since any development for any JB ROM has all moved to the buggy KK ( don't say I see very stable results with KK, be truthful to yourself and our community) but I want to know which kernels (D803 not D801 (Claro PR model phone used for T-Mobile USA)) are still good or still being used for JB ROM, which is best for T-Mobile in USA and so forth.
I am looking into all JB Kernel, stock/flex/pro for the G2 as well as AOSP/CM for the G2, thanks.

"Best" Kernel threads are not allowed on XDA.
Please test these things for yourself. That is the only way you will get an unbiased opinion,
and then, you can decide for yourself if it meets YOUR needs.

OK, then. Just change the title
Hi,
The thread certainly sounds like a best kernel thread which we do not allow on XDA, the question is subjective so you should make up your own mind on what best suits your needs. Look through the development section for JB kernels, and try some out.
