[Q] X8 poor max brightness or ...? - XPERIA X8 General

I have an Xperia X8 which is nearly completly useles in a bright daylight even on max brightness. I have an X10 aswell and it is much much better - like usable in the sunlight
I was wondering if it's a weakness of this model or maybe something damaged? (I'm running a GingerXperia v17 currently)

Yes I feel it too but you can tick ultra brightness mode in settings.

Arc S LT18i screen warmth

After having my x10i for over a year I notice that the arc has a slightly warmer screen. So whites are a little off colour. Is this normal? Iv never seen another arc screen.

mine gets very hot aswell but only at the top
Lol sorry what I meant with screen warmth is the colour gammut. The whites on the screen are a shade of whitish yellow so it's got a warmer hue. If this is normal for an arc please let me know

It is not something I have noticed except maybe at very low brightness setting. Have you tried to turn up brightness to see if it makes any difference?
turning up the brightness all the way seems to help a little but i dont usually have it that bright. I try to keep it about half brightness.

Screen brightness?

Is there a way to make to screen brighter than the max brightness? It's not that great for looking in sunny conditions.
No phone is... Or at least not one I've owned

Screen brightness

How is the visibility outside on a sunny day compared to the S2 or S3?
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-I727 using xda app-developers app
It is slightly brighter than the S3. However, if you are in bright sunlight and if your phone is not on auto brightness and set to the lowest level, you will have trouble seeing the screen to set auto-brightness. The lowest brightness level seems lower than on the S3. I have run into this a few times.
Compared to my s3 its much better. Outside in the sunlight with sunglasses I can actually read my screen

I have my screen brightness at the lowest on my s3 right now and it's good if you are indoor but outdoor is terrible. Will the s4 have a better screen brightness at the lowest setting compared to the s3?
Ok cool thats the only reason I was considering the htc one. I got kinda tired of my s2 in sunlight

Lower brightness settings

Hi
Could someone told me if there is a mod or some settings to do in order to get a brightness lower than the min value, I do use the phone sometimes at night but I found out that the min value is too bright for me, compared to my xperia S, which is very low..

Is this maybe that thing that you're looking for?
Screen Filter
This app makes your colours look washed out, but makes the backlight less intense.
Thank you, screen goes a little grey but it's fine

There is an app called LUX, which can reduce you brightness to "0". It also does a much better job of auto brightness control that Android does in general, so your battery should last longer

[Q] Which screen mode do you use ?

I was still deciding wheter to choose the adapt display mode or dynamic mode.
I like alot of saturation all the times especially when watching videos on youtube so i think im going with Dynamic.
Share yours !
Dynamic mode. I wish my eyes have the same saturation
Dynamic

What are thedifferences?
Dynamic. I actually like the increased saturation.
