The first thing you need to do, is to read the rules, and post in the right forum... Then, you will get an answer.
Sent from my awesome HTC HD2.
Yz.

hello, ok i do that ...sorry
den

BTW, thread reported........

moved

Τhe device you have is not an original hd2 so i dont think that any of the roms or recovery we discuss here it will fit you. There are no specific "dual sim" roms because hd2 isnt a dual sim phone
In the best situation when you go to install recovery from hd2 it will not work and in worse situation you`ll brick your phone
ext partition you can do in your pc with a programm like mini partition tool manager and a programm to move apps in ext3 partition in many devices is link2sd from play store.

[Q]APPS2SD installation

Hello, i just installed Frankinstine DROID Lite v1 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=992430 on my HD2 using 250 MB partition. After installation 95 MB of free space is available so i would like to ask how to install DarkTremor's APPS2SD MOD to load programs from sd. I tried to install this mod in CWR "install from sd" but after the installation my phone wont boot Android, after splash screen it just restarts.
Thnx for your answers

Do you have an ext partition set up?
Got 2GB micro SD. 512+ ext3 and the other free space is primary

Is your sdcard set up so that partition 1 is the FAT32, and partition 2 is the ext3?
Just noticed, that 1st partition somehow changed to FAT16 trying to change to change to FAT32. EXT3 is ok...
SD card's partitions are ok now, but after installing this mod got thesame issue : after android logo phone just restarts. Maybe there is another mod to save applications to SDcard ?

[Q] HD2 & App2SD

Hello everyone,
I've an issue and I am looking for your advise & support. I've bought HTC HD2 512 EU with the following NAND specification:
Android ver: 2.2.1
Baseband ver: 15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14
Kernel ver: 2.6.32.15-saint.J_Rev.005-g009fade-dirty [email protected] #8
Build no: Desire HD Rev.10.XU
Software no: 1.72.405.3
aMAGLDR V1.13
The Issue: I wanted to install App2SD to be able to install apps in SD Card.. I followed this thread => http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=926015 & followed Darktremor instructions here.. However, When I entered the MAGLDR menu /AD Recovery I found no CWM recovery mode "no boot source".. So what should I do next as Darktremor approach assumed that there is a CWM recovery mode to be able to format, partition and flash the App2SD, while I haven't!.. What should I do to make it work?
Thank you,
unzip attached file.put the folder you get to your sd card.in mgldr menu: services-boot settings-ad sd dir-find the folder and choose it. now you'll go to mgldr menu automatically now take the second choice:ad sd. so you'll go to ad recovery.(by this method you have to do all these steps each time in order to go ad recovery.so it is recommended to flash a recovery using daf and usb flasher.but this will erase your installed android rom.) and in ad recovery menu backup your current rom.because darktremors method doesn't go well with som roms.and know that it leads 2 extra reboots after you flash it.
mutil, thanks for the reply. I did as you mentioned.. got into the CWM successfully but failed to partition the SD correctly. After it said=> "Done..! partition SD successfully!" I got the screen full of errors like=>
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Falid to find "cache" partition to mount at "/cache".
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't find misc
P.S: I choose partition size of 1024mb & swap of 256mb..
Update: I ignored those errors & installed the App2SD & rebooted but didn't notice any change! The available space on the internal storage still 201mb!.. SD card now reads 14gb, previously 15gb..
download a2sdgui from market. move dalvik cache to sd.this gives you some more space.i think a2sd will work for applications you install from now on.therefore i install it just after i installed a new rom.btw 256mb swap is high. you must know that it may harm your sd (but i also use 128mb swap in spite of its risk)

Done!..
Thank you mutil...
About the swap, do you suggest me to redo the whole process again and limit the swap to maybe 128mb?.. I remember that swap partition is always double the mem size..
What is the max recommended ext partition size for the App2SD? because on the CWM you can make the partition up to 2048mb..
no just for that, it doesn't worth to redo everything.next time when you change rom you arrange it.i dont have much knowledge but the swap is said to harm sd-card.but as my experience it also improves speed.
Ext
If u want to install apps on EXT partition don't use App2SD,or A2ext use Data2ext.
Similar to a2ext, where data/app were stored inside your ext partition of the SD card, data2ext stores the whole /data inside your ext partition.
That means your internal storage will barely be used, and because nowadays some SD cards runs faster than your internal memory.
Instructions:
*This is a CyannogenMod version! Not tested on DHD Roms!
1.Make a Ext3 Partition via CWR
2. Flash data2ext_for_CM via CWR (attached) (DON'T FLASH IT ON THE FIRST BOOT OF ANY ROM!)
3. Go to your terminal emulator/adb shell to type data2ext --enable
4. Reboot
5. Go check your Ext storage via Titanium Backup(Your internal storage [220 mb~] will not be increased you must check the ext space from the Overview page of your Titanium Backup [SD card(a2sd):....mb(...mb free)])!

very low internal memory - american android 2.3.7 MAGDLR NAND

I have american android NAND MAGLDR installed in my HD2. But I have one problem with low internal memory.
Briefly: I have very low internal memory. About 50 MB only despite the fact that I have moved all my downloaded market apps onto my SD card. Preinstalled Android apps like MAPS, facebook and so on Im not able to move to my SD card. But there are still updates of this apps and Im afraid of that there will not be any free space for them in the while because 50 MB is really very little.
is there any option how to solve this problem?

Search in the american android thread about data2sd script or an a2sd+ script, when you get there, there should bin instructions on how to install it, as it varies for different roms.
Cheers,

I made ext3 partition cca 800 MB and swap partition cca 133 MB on my SD card by using MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition.
Then I have put my SD card into HD2 and by using MAGLDR I have installed american android 2.3.7 NAND.
But problem is it shows that my internal memory is still the same (as was before I made ext3 partition 218 MB total and 159 MB free)
I believed that when I create ext3 partition it will increase my internal memory. But it did only that some space from my SD card disappeared.
Could somebody explain me why is that, what did I wrong ?

Depending on the script you are using, internal memory wont show an increase. If you want to see if its working use titanium backup. The reason for this is different scripts use different symlinks and linked directories.

titanium backup dont show me anything like ext3 partition
I have no idea what I did wrong .. I did it in accordance with instructions witch was written in american android FAQ
could somebody tell me please how could I use a ext3 SD partition in american android 2.3.7 NAND? Im working on it 60 hours and I dont know what I do wrong because my android is not able to mount that partition:
here is what I did:
1. operating system wm 6,5 HTC HD2
2. flash MAGLDR 1.13 and choosed option 5. flash USB
3. run american android setup (ACA setup exe) and installed it
4. took my SD card 4GB and by using minitools partition wizard i created:
- HD2 partition, primary, FAT 32, cluster 32k
- sd-ext partion, primary, ext3, 800 MB
- linux swap, primary, 128 MB
5. then I insert SD card into HTC HD2 and restart
6. android, titanium backup, android commander are not able to detect any ext3 partition
7. Link2SD was able to detect this partition and install apps in there but when I restarted my phone all apps installed in sd2 partition just disappeared. So now link2sd just shows there is something on sd2 partition but Im not able to see it nor use it
could somebody tell me what I did wrong ?
How could I run data2sd script or a2sd+ script on american android rom ? (I have looking for it on the thread but I didnt find instructions)
or tell me another option how to free internal memory of phone for american android 2.3.7 NAND CM7,2

Firstly stop blaming about you were denied to report in my thread ,i haven't seen your appearance in my thread, now coming to the point
the partition size for tmous is 250 & 7 cache & not 45, Read my third post, secondly have you seen me mention enable swap in my build?in my rom don't enable swap,
now about partitioning your sd if you have good SD class 6 & above make ext 4 as 2GB or above,if not keep it below 2GB,I repeat don't enable swap,
& Touchb recovery works best on CLK,while flashing recovery ain't you read CLK 1.5.1.1? how did you flash it to magldr, anyways my question you want magldr or clk?
if magldr
task29 / flash magldr/ enter usb flasher mode/repartion recovery in hd2toolkit with 250 /7 cache,
boot into magldr,do a AD hardrest
now enter recovery/enter mount storage manually wipe data, system, cache,sd ext
now flash your rom & marc 2.3 do a wipe cache/dalvik & fix permission
let phone settle for 10 minutes on first boot, turn off the phone restart , that's about it
Always Read the thread correctly before posting issues,or do a proper search, good luck

yes.. my mistake.. was tired and forgot and gave wrong info...

Step 5
In Mgldr : i only got two options while partitioning > system / cache (i chose 250 / 7)
In your post you have mentioned clk procedure only...
So, i reckon the Magldr procedure has 3 diff:
1. your partitions are not completely implemented
MAGLRD Recovery size for Tmobile:
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery_leo.img
boot yboot|ro 7M
system ya 250M
cache ya 7M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize

Only System + Cache were
2.
boot into magldr,do a AD hardrest
Click to collapse
Didnt see this Step in your procedure...
is it coz this is being redone?
3. the Swap partition and Slow SD Card (maybe a Class 4 as i bought it 3-4 yrs back)
can i just resize the ext4 partition by deleting the Swap and merging, using Minitools partition magic?
Or
do i have to start from Task29 All over again?
Anyways.. repartitioning has to be done.. will start with that:fingers-crossed:
Thanks a Heap (@SunDawg):good:
It Works
Hi,
Posting this for Noobs like myself:silly:
Repartitioning the SDCard (to remove swap) did not Help
made the ext partition less than 2Gb as guided by Sundawg
Started with Task 29.. followed the procedures
HD2ToolKit -> data -> ref -> flash.cfg
misc ya 1M
recovery rrecov|ro|nospr filesize recovery-raw.img
boot yboot|ro 5M
system ya 250M
cache ya 7M
userdata ya|asize|hr allsize
Click to collapse
has the above setings by default.. assuming this file is being used while flashing It does match the setings recommended for Sundawg's ROM
so, it was quite simple.. and i made it complicated
HD2Toolkit made Flashing this ROM a breaze
@KsuBedi :good:
3 Steps :
1) Task29
2) Install Magldr
3) Repartition
The Nand is ready for Flashing
now follow http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1769081
go into CWM (which is Auto installed when Repartitioned) by choosing Magldr Menu -> 8. Ad Recovery
now folllow procedures from post#3-> Step 5
It works Great.. installed a couple of games too..

[Q] keep WP7 and switch between android Roms

Hi all
I have HTC HD2 EU , I installed WP7 and Android (Parandroid witch is a good one ) with dualboot ; thanks to all developpers .
Now I want to keep WP7 and switch to other android roms using 4ext correctly (or CWM) , like BOXMAX Rom installatio
How install
- must have 2 part ext4 ... use "MiniTool Partition Wizard Home Edition" for Re Partition:
1- First Partition "Fat 32" "Primary" (mmcblk0p1)
2- Second Partition "Primary" "Ext4" for system 1gb or 680mb (mmcblk0p2)
3- Third Partition "Primary" "Ext4" for data 1gb (mmcblk0p3)
- use this recovery and boot it from haret or Magldr SD ...
- before flash rom : wipe and format for sd-ext & sd-ext2 from recovery menu then :
- flash rom .
I found a lot of threads but for nand android .
Thanks
I tried some threads , get into 4ext recovery and off course I deleted WP7 , but when started Android ( BOXMAX NATIVE SD) it stuck on boot image for more than 40 min !
I installed WP7 again and Android ( parandroid ) .
keep waiting for help !
You have your answer right within your post, " use this recovery and boot it from haret or Magldr SD ..."
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1337663
Are you using the SD recovery from here https://app.box.com/s/jh2w3keom4x81p1qsw8f which is linked in those instructions?
It sounds like you are flashing 4ext recovery (CWM) and therefore wiping your wp7 in nand.
The sd recovery boots from magldr ad sd.
If you want to triple boot paranoid nativesd, boxmax directsd and wp7, you might want to increase the size of your first sd-ext partition to say 1.5 or 2Gb. So that you have;
fat32 (size=whatever is leftover) first (primary)
EXT4 size 1.5 or 2Gb second (primary)
EXT4 size 1Gb third (primary)
WP7 (whatever you choose) fourth (primary)
Thank you a lot for your answers and your time ,
Now I have dualboot WP7 in nand (4.5 G) and Parandroid Rom in the sd with very easy install .
I only want dualboot , keep WP7 in nand , than use 4ext recovery to wipe Parandroid Rom and flash BOXMAX Rom ( as said in instructions here ) in sd , because when I tried partition with 4ext recovery when flashing BOXMAX Rom I wiped my WP7 from nand :silly: .
How to flash the BOXMAX rom using 4ext recovery without deleting nand ,step by step plz if possible ?
