I already try with official rom, but my herald is still brick, i can not syncronize the herald with pc to run the official rom.
It is freeze in inicial boot with HTC logo.

Try turning the phone off and then turn it back on by holding the camera and communication button. This should bring you to the boot loader screen at which time you can tehter to your pc and run the OEM RUU. That should do the trick.

German Vodafone Herald bricked
Hello,
could anyone here give me an Original Vodafone Rom to unbrick my Herald? It must not be WM6, WM5 would be sufficient. I only want my device to alive
Or is there another way to unbrick this phone? I only can get in bootloader modus and so i can not start the phone to CID unlock so that i can flash with another ROM like HTC Original.
So Have anyone a possibility to unbrick the phone or CID unlock from bootloader?

The big question is:
Is there any chance to unlock my Artemis under these conditions?
1. Access to Artemis only via Mtty to Bootloader mode possible
2. Today a got the right Unlock Information for my MDA.
Here my sad story:
Step 1:
After upgrade my T-Mobile MDA COmpact III from vm5 to HTC_P3300_GER_3.13.407.1_4.1.13.44_02.94.90_Ship_R
for two day everything works fine. At this point my Artemis was locked (T-Mobile).
Step 2:
After one soft reset yesterday, Artemis cannot start any more. Boot-process stops on second Image (Windows-Mobile)
and don't go further.
Step 3:
First good news is: I can start my Artemis in to bootloader mode and connect my self with Artemis via mtty tool.
Step 4:
Second good news is: I got my unlock information for MDA, and received it from D-T-Mobile today.
What I need is one step-by-step description, how to proceed in this case, assumed, there is hope for me.

- turn phone on (bootloader or whatever, connection to pc)
- try flash SPL
- if succesfull - flash any rom
- put another sim-card in phone and type your reg-code in phone
If the SPL or doesn't work... try some Dopod ROMs...
And if that doesn't work... try to find every rom there is and try them one by one

I need to unlock my elf,but i bricked the device,so now i can't to unlock the CID with USPL - CID Unlock because the activesync doesn't recognize the device.
So my question is:how can i unlock CID from bootloader???
I tried to flash the new rom,but every time i get update error 270.
Please help me to resolve this problem.

Greetings ive got a HTC Elf 0100 (VPA Touch), and i want to flash a rom on it.
Problems:
(1) this PDA is CID Locked
(2) this PDA doesnt connect to active sync
(3) this PDA has NO WINDOWS MOBILE on it
it has a special firmware on it made exclusive for a company to do some questioning. But now the Device isnt used anymore and i want to flash it for personal use as normal PDA.
Can you help me with that?
the CID Unlock Operations from this forums didnt really work coz they all assume winmobile to be booted which i dont have.

1 If you don't have active sync so you can only use Sdcard flash
2 I'm not sure you can Cid unlock using a card
3 so only option is to find original Rom
4 The problem is to find this Rom while you say it never had a proper Rom

unfortunately!! Jtag function also not support this phone..
i m software engineer and i really curious to solve this problem.

Possible halfbricked solution?
I have a little info. Registry path "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\Platform\DeviceTargetingInfo" contains BootLoaderVersion value. It is rewritable (for example 1.2.2250 instead 3.2.2250 on my phone). Can it evoke HTC OEM Update again? Or, must I change also another values - FirmwareRevision (2250.10.12203.207), RadioHadwareVersion (A.102.0.D4), RadioSoftwareVersion (5.69.09.29a_22.50.50.21U), ROMVersion (1.22.207.03), SoCVersion (2.2.5.0) ? Could not it damage phone more, then halfbrick? But there is one problem - after soft restart original value (3.2.2250.0) is restored on my Gold. May be it is copied from SPL header, or Registry Editor is not working? But rewrited BootLoader version is occured in Setings/about before phone restart. Thanks for answers. Martin

My HTC surround half bricked,,, in spl mode its showing only one line (sp*****),, and even i cannot enter usb host mode,,, so tried OEM updates via cab sender and gold card method nothing worked,,, so plz can somebody help me to solve this,,, either by OEM cab install,, or some other methods,,,

MY HTC surround is half bricked,, it shows only one line in spl mode,,, so i tried so many ways to recover it,,, cab sender, goldcard, and via zune,, but nothing worked,, and i saw some one posted, its possible to flash "*.ffu" file on half bricked devices. So I'm searching for the rom .ffu file for HTC Surround AT&T. Please somebody help me.

i do not know about solution but there some thread in forum guide about unlocked developer, interop unlock and root tools, so we can do that and use it normally, only one disadvantage is we can not fully unlocked.
