how calibrate battery? - Huawei Ideos X5 U8800

Hi, I have a problem
I try calibrate the battery, but I cant know as do correctly.
I have tried which BatteryCalibration but I dont know
Please, can anyone explain me the process?
Thanks
PD: Now I can watch in BatteryCalibration <> 44%, 3815mV
its good?

try program called batteryrepair. and actual battery calibration
1 charge phone turned on untill it's fully charged
2 disconnect, reconnect and charge phone turned OFF for 30 minutes
3 disconnect, power on and off again. reconnect charger
4 charge again for 30 minutes
5 then in CWM wipe battery stats
both ways worked for me. good luck

Be aware that the battery level may not be entirely accurate, so calibration may not be effective. See:

Battery adjusting method. ( Works for me )

Hi guys,
After a week with hard usage, I decided to adjust my SGS2 battery. Maybe you know this method anyway... It works for me at least and I can see the improvment.
Here we go,
Let the phone charge 100% full. Unpluge and turn it OFF...
Plug charger and wait again till 100%...Then unplug it again...
Turn the phone ON ...Use a few minutes DONT PLUG.
And finally, turn it OFF again and plug charger and wait till 100% full of charge.
Now you can turn it on and use...DONE...
Hope it helps...
This is close to the way of doing it, but the battery stats file remains. So to improve this further, you'll need to wipe the battery stats. Let it decharge. Then charge it to 100% while it's off or something.
So what does that give to you? Better batery life? How did you decide that it works?
Its like; after 10-15 minutes playing game, battery is still 100%

Yeah, you are right too...
Do not do this well posted bump charging trick often as your battery life will drop with too frequent bump charging .

Battery inaccurate after boot

Hi all
since a week or so i have a strange problem with my sgs and i hope you can help me to fix it
Everything works just fine (battery is accurate) until i switch off / reboot the phone
but at next boot the battery reports a very low value
(e.g. the phone has 55% battery left and after the reboot it reports only 8%)
with Froyo 2.2.1 (Speedmod Kernel) it would stay at that level until the battery has really drained to that point
With GB (JVQ - Galaxian Kernel) the battery percentage increases slowly
What i tried so far:
first of all, i deleted the battery stats for a few times and because that didn't work i upgraded to JVQ (with repartitioning and all), but that didn't solve the problem either
i don't really know what to do anymore and i hope someone can help me
thanks
Just do a few drain/ charge cycles and that should sort it

First off, wiping batterystats.bin alone won't help.
Try this:
1. Charge to 100% until it says unplug charger.
2. Wipe batterystats.bin from recovery, unplug and then reboot
3. Drain your phone's battery until it shuts itself down
4. Charge to 100% without interrupting the charge
5. Enjoy :3
thanks for the quick replay!
unfortunately thats basically what i have already done
since the problem happened the first time, i have charged the phone at least 5 times and wiped the battery stats for 2 or 3 times right after charging the phone to 100%
its true that normally i don't drain the battery completely, but yesterday i have done just that and than let the phone charge overnight - but that didn't solve the problem
i will try to fully discharge the phone a few more times and load the battery while the phone is switched off
still i hope someone has an other suggestion how to solve this annoying problem
thanks
lol - stop deleting the batterystats.bin for starters.
The batterystats needs to indentify the top and bottom markers such as 0% - 100%, delete it ONCE.
Firstly, turn the phone off, charge the phone to 100%, bump charge it, till 100% truely.
This means, unplug...then plug it in again until you keep getting 100% show up.
Boot up into recovery then delete the batterystats.bin.
Use it heavy, activate everything and drain it. Make sure it is compeltely drained, try turning the phone back on, take the battery out for about 2 mins, try turning it on again, if it doesnt turn on, you've drained it.
Plug your charger in, do not turn the phone on, let it charge to 100%, again, bump charge it until 100% truely full, turn the phone on and let it run its natural course this time.
Do not delete the batterystats.bin again, you will have to repeat the process, it will take a good 2/3 times of charge/discharge for the stats to settle.
Hopefully helps dude! Good luck
thanks pidz!
just to clarify: i have had my sgs for a half year now and i never wiped the battery stats until last week
But i haven't tried bump charging jet - i really don't like that process as it is bad for the battery but might be worth a try, thanks
it usually happens with non original batteries. did you changed a battery? or maybe you got a fake one with you phone?

Battery calibration guide needed experts please

Hi to all i am facing massive drains in battery
My phone recharges in 1.5 hours completely.
But i dont think that this is reliable as if i use my ideos with automatic brightness and on demand 400-1000 franco kernel.i can play game for continously 1.5 hours maximum.
And on wifi its about 4 hours.
I think its battery calibration issue.
If any expert here make a guide to properly calibrate our batteries than we can get most out of them.
So experts please come one step ahead.

To calibrate the battery you have to charge the battery to 100% and leave charging after 100% for about 30 minutes. After the 30 min, reboot into CWM, go into advanced and select Wipe Battery Stats. Reboot the phone again.
You won't notice much of change initially, because you have to repeat this process at least 3-4 times. In about a week time, you'll see that battery will last twice as longer.
This may not work for everybody, but it DEFINITELY worked for me.
Just download this app, plug your phone to charger, when that app shows over 4200mV press "Battery Calibration" button and then use your battery to 0% and then charge it back to 100%.

Gonna try this. The first time I did it I didn't notice much but today my battery has surprised me greatly.
Do you also use something Juice Defender?
NO juice defender app! That's making things worse, in my opinion.

[Q] Battery charge level doesn't change when sim removed. Why?

I have Aurora ICS in my U8800. Yesterday I removed SIM to another phone and turned U8800 back on. Battery level was 80%. Listened music, used wifi a little bit... and today, 12 hours later battery level was still 80%. Reboot, and now the battery level is 40%. Plugged in charger and two hours later level was still 40%. Reboot, and now the level is 100%.
What part in Android system handles battery level changes (and updates changes battery indicator). And why does SIM play any role in this situation? And most important question now is how can I refresh charge level without rebooting (and without SIM of course)? Tried some battery widgets from play store but without luck...
try this

just charge your phone for 3 hours, i think that should be enough for full charge.Do not unplug it, Go to recovery wipe battery stats, and leave it plugged in for another half an hour. that should solve it.

not everyone have clockwork recovery my friend
anotherway to resert battery stats its free apk calld battery calibration
here is link
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.nema.batterycalibration
it needs root.
best way to calibrate battery is fully charge then unplug restart device plug in charge till 100% and do it again over and over for 3 times then... calibrate battery
fully discharge and charge again till 100 w/o breaks
Ok, tried that what rjspark89 suggested. No help.
But when I inserted an old, deactivated SIM-card into phone, everything worked fine.
So, something is not working the way I think... Now using U8800 as PDA for a while. No phone but BT and WIFI are working, and battery charge level changes as expected. Case closed
(and yes, I have Clockwork Recovery in my phone, and battery calibration app(s) are familiar too)

Turning on phone while charging

Hello all,
Recently i've been noticing that my GS4 battery is draining too fast, i think that it's time to recalibrate it. Since my phone is not rooted, i have searched for guides on how to recalibrate the battery.. and i found this one:
To calibrate your Android phone battery correctly:
1-First drain your battery down. Let the device switch itself off naturally. You will know if it is completely dead because it won’t switch on again.
2-Place the phone ion charge while it is turned off. Allow it to charge for at the very least 2 hours, if not 4, until the battery meter reads 100%
3-Switch on the phone while the charge is still connected to it. When your phone is on the home screen, leave the charger connected for a further 2 minutes before removing it.
4-Repeat the above steps twice more, always allowing the phone to completely discharge first.
The reason for leaving your charger connected is to allow the configuration files to update with the new, correct charge values. Some of the best ways to avoid battery usage is to make sure all connections are turned off when they are not in use – Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS etc. Make sure your screen locks down in under a minute when not in use and that your screen is not set too bright
My question is.. is it safe to turn on the phone while it is charging? is it safe to turn on the phone when it is plugged to a charger while it is off?
Thank you in advance.

Hi
Yes and yes
BTW I do not believe to much in those battery calibration methods , as far as i know a new file is generated each time you switch off and back on
You can charge your phone in any status, on, off, flight mode, playing games etc.It will only affect your charging speed.
As for calibration - I have heard about such thing and try to discharge my battery till some 1-3% and full charge at least once a month. Don't know if this helps. I think also important is the environment temperature and how you discharge the last percent. My suggestion is that last percent must be discharged as slow as possible - with screen locked let it die natural way, with normal usage, very slowly. I and other usually switch all possible things to drain battery faster at this stage. That seems wrong on my personal opinion.

NO NO NO
Draining your battery is BAD!!! Draining it below 0 is the dumbest thing you can do. That damages your battery. Whoever made that "guide" has absolutely no understanding about his battery.
Calibrating is easy.
Charge to 100%. Pull your battery. Put battery back in. Charge again until full when powered off. Volia calibrated.
Though it will probably not help. My guess is that you just need a new battery (if it's no software problem).
