Hello, I have a problem, can't install Titanium backup, from market, or from phone, it gives me this storage error. I know I have enough space, and I can install other applications without problems, only can't install TB. I'm currently on Quarx ICS 18.3 build for Defy+ (I have Defy). Tried returning to older versions, tried older gapps, wiping cache, nothing helped. Anyone knows what the problem is ? Or can anyone suggest me good backup apk (haven't used anything except TB) to try data wipe and restore apks with data ?
Try dalvik cache too. And also use the latest version of TB. might help i think..

Had the same issue when I fresh installed 1803 Quarx. I then went back to 0503, set up the ROM with all the tweaks and stuff, then flashed 1803 over 0503 without any wipes and now all is good.

What version of TB are you using? I use 4.6.7 and gapps from 24022012.

I was on 4.8.0, tried older gapps, and older versions of TB but still no good.
Well, the only thing left to do was a full data wipe..and now it works great.

After a little digging i found a solution for this problem. Go to data/app/ and delete com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup.odex. After that just install TB from market normally, no need for full data wipe.
You da maaaaaaaaaan!!!!

You, sir, are an absolute legend!! any idea on why this happened? why would Titanium leave behind an odex file that stops installation?
My pleasure to help. Have no idea why would TB do that, but now we know how to fix it ^^

Can you provide more info? What test version? Did you install gapps? We can't help with what you provided.
Had something similar when moving to 2.1. Full wipe including formatting and re-partitioning the SD card fixed that.

Running 5.0.7T7. I installed gapps. When I first load the rom I'm able to download but once I restore with Titanium Backup thats when the market problem occurs.

I will try this when I have some time. thanks
Don't use Titanium, so am not sure how much it backs up - but could this have overwritten your new market and thus causing an issue - does it give you an option to choose what you want to restore?
If you didn't WIPE when going from 4 to 5 then you need to, as Cyanogen has stated not doing so can and probably will cause errors.
(Especially makes sense when I consider that when jumped major versions before rooting the OFA did wipe my phone - thats when I decided to pay for MyBackup Pro).

This has always been an issue for me...But a simple reboot always seems to fix it.
So yesterday I decided I was going to play around with the different roms like I do my phone w/ my tablet.. Bad idea. The same usual steps to backing up and restoring are supposed to be the same. maybe not so much.
I decided to try out the new Revolution theme by thor, so i made a backup of where i was at before the wipe and subsequent install. Install went on without any issue, I played with it for a while, decided I wanted to go back to my latest backup. Performed the restore and went to bed.
When I went back to the tablet it had successfully rebooted with all my prior settings in place. Except one thing. Superuser wont work, and I cant download the updater fix in the market. So my rooted device is now unrooted with Taboony 2.1b rom. None of the apps we are all accustomed to using will work without superuser working.
Has anyone experienced this, is there a fix I just havent seen? I have searched and searched and searched. Well versed in google

I just finished getting my tab back in shape after much the same thing. What worked for me was to get into cwm, then clear cache and delvic cache. Re-installed the rom (ezterry's rooted stock in my case) and I am good to go. I did not clear data. Hope that this helps.

With reflash of rom you will have root again, but do a full backup of your rom using cwm and then restore your backup and you will once again be left without root.
The fix I got was, i got into cwm and flashed the new mix rom and viola, everything works as it should lol

There have been issues with SU in Taboonay. Happens after a backup / restore. I had the same thing.
For a more complete solution check the thread on Taboonay / DEV in the forum, but the short answerthat worked for me with Taboonay is : uninstall SetCPU, Reflash 2.1, reboot, reflash 2.1b. this worked for me...
Good luck!

Now do a full backup using cwm.
Now do a full restore using cwm.
Now No root, just try it.

If you read that post carefully you would
know that dalvik cache is different from cache!!
If that doesn't wipe data..
Last option is to reflash!!

It doesn't seems to be working. You can ping every existing server, but you can't send or receive any other packet. After download 1-4MB you can only send ping and (if you're lucky) use google talk.

You can't imagine how many times I did reflash, wipe (dalvik included), different kdz instalation. Nothing helped.

What do you mean? I've downloaded my rom from these thread:

and tried to flash with installer from modaco.
i have the same problem with this rom. The apn connection is fine but whenever i connect to wifi i have to reboot my phone for it to transfer data but after awhile it stop again and i have to reboot again.

I didn't see much negative effects made by the V6 Supercharger than the KA Kernelizer Tweak (which completely destroyed my phone ).
if a reflash or wipe doesn't solve the bugs
then i think it is a hardware problem!!
quickly get a warranty before they run out of stock
as they are not selling GT540 anymore!!
i've reflashed back to rc3 and everything work fine but when i flash rc5 i got the same problem again.
Wonder what i did wrong???
And i even flash back to rom 2.1 (with kdz and it really scare me) and connection is really fast so i dont think it s because of the hardware

then i think it might be the system partitions that are
creating this problem..
but i don't know to much about partitions..
Hey, I just decided to give decks 1.3d a try, so I backed up my apps with titanium backup. After I flash decks along with tiamat LEE, gps fix, vipermod, gapps with voicemail and titanium zip, I setup my phone and run titanium. Then, after trying to restore apps, my phone does a hot restart and doesn't restore anything. I tried updating busybox already, and I come from a sense Rom.

in that case when you restore them, restore app only (so w/o data)
You DID just backup your own personal apps, not any System, or Google or HTC apps, right?
Ok so I just flashed like 3 different zip format tools and reflashed decks 1.3
It can restore backups and etc, but I can't access display on contacts, it force closes

when you restored your apps, did you restore just apps, or apps + data? Going from a sense rom to aosp rom can cause problems if you try restoring data from the other

Hello all,
I have updated yesterday to 4.1.2 (using the nakasi JRO03D file flashed via CWM)
Initially all went well (although I get consistently a weird message when booting up: something about office suite stopping unexpectedly), but when I tried to use moonreader this morning my unit crashed. Then I experimented a bit more - as a result the unit froze completely and did not come back to life until I plugged the USB cable in (battery level is 40%)
Various apps are also crashing (office suite for example does not work any more).
Anyone else having problems after 4.1.2. install? Is there a fix?
Please advise...
Fix would probably be a complete wipe. Possibly a Fix Permissions if you are rooted.

Just boot into CWM
Wipe data/factory reset
Fix permissions
Reboot
You will lose all of your apps and data, so I recommend using something like ROM toolbox to backup your apps.

For future references would be nice if you post your rom and kernel (or stocked). I guess =D
I havent seen any issues with this.
Did you use the normal release from Google?
Or a 4.1.2 from a User compiled update?
I also have Officesuite and it didn't come up with any errors, although I didn't open any of my apps as I have to rush the install then run to college
I only tested the homescreen rotate HAHA !

I think it was the normal release - it looks like everybody else was using the same file. I have removed officesuite and I still have random complete freezes. So maybe it was not office suite...
After playing a bit more (trying to do backup of the installed apps etc.) - now the unit prompts me for a password to decrypt my storage (during boot). I have not seen that before (and I do not have installed a password.). So I think all I can do is a complete wipe and start from scratch...
Not sure what went wrong...
Will do factory wipe tonite to see what happens.
