I have installed stock gingerbread rom(V100R001C00B526G001), and i have problem with voice on calls.. everytime when i call to someone he complains that my voice is extremly silence and laggy(i have to speak very loud if i want someone to hear me)! i havent used my huawei alot so i dont know was this problem with froyo rom too, so have you guys had same kind of problems with rom or is my speaker broken or something? i have tried that that double speaker ture=false, didnt help..
should i send my phone to warranty or what?
im sorry for my bad english..^^
Known issue, froyo did that too. Only happens when you're talking in a quiet place right?
never thought that is it only quiet place problem, so i dont know.. but now i downgraded phone back to foyo and did one test call, and my friend now heard me right or that's what he said.. so.. i have to test more but so far sounds like rom problem? but its weard because 3 of my friends have ideos x5 too and no one of them have same issues than me (gingerbread installed too) ..=/
For me mic recording got better after gingerbread installation. I believe that was hell of a random hardware picks when ideos x5 was manufactured

anyone has the same problem? and sometimes it's work sometimes not. i cant figure it out.

OK Strange one here - hope someone can help!
I flashed older cookie on to HD2 for a friend and took phone to her in Malaysia - all seemed well but phone was freezing apparently so her brother went to HTC asia site and downloaded a ROM for it! GRRRR
Anyway it was a T-Mobile rom or something with a '51' radio. Since then when she makes a call she can not hear the other person through the earpiece (but can through the headset!) , but CAN hear a busy tone if the person is already on a call when she calls!
So I flashed latest Cookie Dinik style back on and replaced the Radio with 2.07.50.** and still the same!
I don't understand how the earpiece can make the busy sound but not hear the voice, yet headphone works?! I have connected remotely and used MyMobiler to see screen of HD2 and looked for anything that may be causing it but all seems fine.
If anyone has any ideas please help as she is about to go back to an iPhone after just moving to this HD2 on my say so!

hmm thats an odd issue and I would be suprised if anyone else has encountered it :S
are you positive its the ear piece speaker thats making the busy sound and not the loudspeaker on the back of the device?
also have you tried swapping between loudspeaker and normal handset mode? does the call work in loudspeaker mode but not normal speaker mode?

Good idea with the loudspeaker mode - will ask her to check that. Can't see how a rom flash could cause it - hope it's not faulty hardware!
I had a similar problem with my HD2: I wasn't able to hear my counterpart. I have tried several radio/ROM combinations with no luck. Looking at the test results I guessed it was a sporadic hardware issue of the earpiece. Sent the phone off to service, they confirmed the problem, replaced the earpiece and shipped it back, all free. Great service!
Of course, I had to restore to factory settings beforehand, including the original SPL, radio and ROM. If the phone is still under warranty I would suggest you try a hardware repair.
Hi All,
I have a problem with my HD2. I am not able to hear anything during call or my voice mails. But the loudspeaker is working fine. Also if I use head phones, I can hear fine.
Before you start jumping into the build and radios and etc etc, let me tell you this. I got this problem when I did not even know about flashing android on the HD2. But this problems goes away after 15-20 mins after restarting the phone. But this time it is not going from last 2 days, which is frustrating.
Anyone has any solution to my problem, please share it.
Thanks a lottt....

Hey Thanks for the advice. But it doesn't work. I had tried this method earlier. But still I gave it another shot. The problem is I do not have any sound at all, not low in call volume...
Ok, did not realise you had no sound. I'm wondering if it is not a hardware problem then. If you can hear via headphones and the rear speaker works, then it is probably the front speaker that is a problem. I'd reflash to winmo stock and take the device in for a warranty claim.
hello,
can i use this on my coredroid hd 1.5 release? i allready renamed the ''htcleo.acdb'' now the sound is louder but is not very clear,do you thing this will provide to me better sound quality?
Hi i've a huawei x5 with the last realese of oxygen and franco kernel, and my microphone works bad, my tell me that they can't hear me right, so i want to install the stock rom to test to see if the problem is for the software or hardware, what is the latest stock rom and where i can download it?
There are some problems with Mic volume on Oxygen...But it shouldn't be that bad...Anyway, check your PMs for Stock Rom instructions.
if you edit the "hw.secondary_mic=0" line to "hw.secondary_mic=1" from build.prop it should be fine.

ALL people that tried this crap -said iit makes things worse with that setting.
Anyway soft will not help in this situation. It's bug in hardware/drivers. Some people are lucky to get good working cancellation others do get bad ones.
Also, i think that parameter is used to tell the phone to use secondary mic as primary.

That just placebo effect, i think
Problem Headphone/Mic
I only use the U8800 heaphones/mic and I must not change because the pinout is different (begining by the point):
Sound.L/Sound.R/Mic/Ground.
The others like Samsung, LG, etc. the pinout is:
Sound.L/Sound.R/Ground/Mic.
If we chage it the sound is bad because it return by Mic, not by ground. The Mic sound is also bad
Or your problem is another?

People here are talking about phone mic. And that when they talk people do not understand them because of noise cancellation chops up their voices and removes some part of it.
I have the same problem, others have trouble to hear my voice!
I think I was the first to put this question and until now, not a single question was effective... I think it's like tommyxoft said... With some peolpe the secondary microphone erases some voice parts, leaving voice muffled... I guess it is related to the tone of our voice...
I sent my X5 to be serviced and when I got it back I tested "the bad mic thing" again with the stock ROM and everything was fine. Everyone could hear me loud and clear. Then, I rooted the device and flashed Oxygen 2.2.2 and I tested it again. Problem was reborn once again!!! I tried B160, B130 v8, Miui also with same results. Obviously, it's a software thing but I don't want my X5 to be unrooted and with stock ROM! So I made peace with it. The only sure thing is to cover the secondary mic with your finger when making/receiving calls. That works perfect!!!
P.S. In addition, the "hwVolumeFactor.cfg" file is missing. It is not located in the "/system/etc/hwVolumeFactor.cfg" directory anymore. I've searched all folders with no luck. Any ideas???
You can disable secondary microphone by sellotape
Hi,
I have the S4 i9505 and I did root the device and flashed many different ROMs like CM, MIUI and so on. Things were fine until suddenly people started complaining they cant hear me fine on calls and that they felt am too far from the phone! As if i've them on speaker phone and talking with my mouth far off from the mic.
I tried many different things like taking the phone to the local service center but they wouldnt take the phone as its from another country.
I tried to bring the phone back to the STOCK ROM but the problem still exists
I tried recording my voice via a voice recording app and it works perfect - so no issues with mic.
When I speak via bluetooth or handsfree/earphones there is no problem - so I guess the radio is fine
I dont know what to do to get this working fine :crying: can someone please help me
