I'm on the march 19 nightly build of cm9 and chrome beta refuses to load any websites. It installs fine but it just shows a plain white page with a few buttons along the bottom and the omnibar on top and nothing else. I've tried force stopping it, typing in other websites.. but nothing works. Is anybody else facing similar issues and is there is a fix for this?
Thanks
It requires hard ware acceleration, which is not yet supported. You can check the current not supported things in cm9 thread.

HWA is the fix. Oh, and an unlocked bootloader too. Until the developers manage to bypass Motorola's stupidity and make hardware acceleration possible there's no way that apps depending on it (Chrome, Flash, etc) will work.
Trimis de pe Defy CM9
It work on only ics kernel

Hi guys!
I'm trying to use Amazon Kindle but it just keep FC . This has happened to me in every quarx or eppys builds with ICS (I've tried almost all of them)
I have tried with cache wipes, data wipes, but no good.
In Quarx builds, I can open the app, login and even see my books, but when I try to load anyone the app FC without any message.
In Eppys builds, I can't even login or see anything of the app before it brings me back to the launcher
Could this be related to the uncomplete HWA? Is anybody else having this same problem?
Thanks!
The same problem here. Kindle is quite important to me, daily use.
Same issue here. I think it's the lack of HWA. It's the same behavior that happens on Opera Mobile and Chrome. Since Kindle is one of my most used apps, I had to switch back to CM7.2
I wish had an old Kindle apk to test it.
Edit:
Btw, I installed ICS on my gf's Galaxy Tab and Kindle (and Chrome) worked perfectly. GT ROM has HWA fully working.

You made my day. I don't know how I didn't try this before.
I found a working version (at least with 30-03 quarx for defy+). I'm so happy!
Here's the link to download the apk: www . 1mobile . com/kindle-13239.html (just erase the spaces)

In Epsylon3 11-04 for defy+, it's not working.
Great . That version didn't work for me but 3.2.0.35 does (Epsylon's build for froyo kernel, nightly 13.04.)

Eppys build for froyo? I'm using that build and last version of kindle isn't working for me. 3.2.0.35 is working perfect
yes but I see now I have Kindle 3.0.1.70
Market version is working on "CM9-NIGHTLY-120508-Defy+_v2" from Quarx!!
I just flashed the FXP 129 ROM, everything was working perfectly, but after flashing it & the kernel, i try to open camera and it force closes, used other cameras from the market & they just show a black screen, & also the GPS hardly works, flashed a few times & cleared everything

I took a look at the changelog and it seems like the camera libs are changed. It is possible that they don't work properly yet, so you might want to flash back to an earlier version and see if that fixes it.

Same problem here.
If you flash back the FXP 125 kernel the camera will work again. I left the rest the stuff FXP 129. Everything seems to work so far.

Hi, Recently i tried to install CM9 and CM10 in my defy india version using 2ndinit. All things are fine, except my wifi. Its not even getting switched on and able to identify any network. Tried so many options including the tiwlan.ini and tiwlan_ap.ini file changes to 0. Can anyone help me out what exactly need to be done to resolve this issue. I really love the way CM works but unfortunately this issue pushing me back to dark age..The versions used for recovery are,
CM10-120722-NIGHTLY-Defy or CM9-NIGHTLY-120613-Defy (either one)
CM7_2.6.35.13_Espresso
gapps-ics-20120429-signed
even tried this version also - JIUI_JB_DEFY_2.11.16
Thanks in advance.
Ravi.
Why not use latest 2ndboot build?

Now my IMEI number is gone... Im not sure why this is happening. Also I found it bad here that i did not get any much solution for this issue.
Hi All.
I've been trying different custom ROMs ever since i rooted my Defy+ about 7 months back. I was pretty happy with CM 10 until the RIL bug came up - see the attached image.
I tried other ROMs like MIUI, WIUI, illusion, Mokee, but sooner or later, the error kept coming.
I have noticed that the bug isn't there with GingerBread based ROMs (Not very sure since i used these ROMs for less than a week)
The occurrence of the error is uncertain. It doesn't occur for days sometimes.
I have been searching for solutions/workarounds since quite some time, but haven't been able to resolve it.
So, is there a solution? And is there any ICS/JB based ROM that doesn't have this bug? (I can't live with GB)

No there is no solution till now.
The only one is to change your mainboard. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=43824345

How about this? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=40961000&postcount=1170
I flashed the above files (after removing batteryd as instructed), but after boot, the phone was not able to detect any cellular networks. I tried toggling the airplane mode and also rebooting, but with same result.
Anything that i might be missing here?

I've tried the solution there but no result.
And one more thing. The stock Rom gives you the same result I tried it and gives you random reboots (this is because Motorola has this workaround for the ril bug but without the warning that was added by Maniac103).
In the link posted above that was the solution that worked for me (mainboard change) maybe you will find a solution that will work for you maybe not.
Someone in a thread in dev section told that he opened the phone and making better contact for the display and the battery was a good solution for the ril bug.

I had this bug sometimes when i choose a wrong baseband or set wrong values on CPU settings.
Actually, this bug randomly appears, no telling when it comes. Sometimes it appears even on a fresh install.

In development thread, this post by overclockthesun seems to indicate that a BL6 SBF could help. Can somebody confirm ?
There is no direct correlation, since it's a hardware bug, and in any event the underlying ril framework remains the same. At best the bug occurrence is quite random, and one of forum members(above) was able to fix this problem only after a motherboard replacement. I personally had this bug once while using cm7. After a clean reinstall, I've never had this bug crop up again. Also, in GB roms(stock), the ril bug is present, but occurs silently without any error, and so calls/sms/data stop working

Ohh what's ril.. And what about network issue ?
When using the google camera I don't have a HDR+ button when I was on touchwiz ROM and now when I'm on cm 11. I'm running 4.4.3 right now.
Does any of you have any clue why its missing and how to place it if its possible?
I don't think its a hardware problem since on the stock camera on touchwiz I did have the HDR option.

CM11 is in Nightly process. Indicating that the version is in testing phase and constant changes from the final version. You will have bugs ofc and they will be updating this version everyday maybe. This can be applied to all threads about CM11. Use the STABLE version for avoid issues and problems.
