Till its back u can use tapatalk app.
They are the dev for the xda app.
Its better than xda app
Also someone has posted a beta version of taptalk 2

So what happened to the XDA app anyway?

Use search before opening a new thread!

We had to remove all XDA apps from Google Market until we fix a problem with Google Checkout. Will be back soon hopefully!

Q & A??????

This is completely irrelevant to everything but why are we one of the only forums that doesn't have a Q & A sub-forum?
I think that falls under general.

There are specific requirements for a Q & A subforum, I'll look them up.
But, philosophically, I've never seen the point: if users don't search in general, why would they search in Q & A?

Agreed, its pretty ridiculous when people post a question that has been answered in posts even on the same page they posted on. Users need to do little more research before they jump in blind and just ask for help. We may be a forum to help others, but come on, if u can't take the time to read and learn u shouldn't be screwing around with a six hundred dollar phone....

Having been here a long time I completely agree with you guys about people searching. I just found it odd that there were certain devices with Q&A but we didn't have one
I have found a generic Google search to be far more effective than the XDA app search.

I can't say I have EVER found something using search on xda. If I am searching for something I will always use google

I agree. Google will bring up all the forum posts. I spend most of my time on dxf and I find the search functions to be unuseful unless you have an exact phrase match.

Black market

Is there such a app, what are people talking about.
Sent from my HTC HD2 using XDA App
Yes it is. You can use it to order pot at your door step.
To access it, you have to install this apk:

The latest version 3.0.26 of Black Market can be found here, hope you enjoy it
i think your referring to the (pirated) blackmarket app. XDA has a strict no posting or even talking about where to get warez. This is a great rule and should be followed. I seen a thread closed by a mod for talking about this very topic just a few days ago. if im wrong and you were talking about the non-pirated app listed above i do owe you an apology.

ill ask again since being deleted what happened to forum search

What happened to forum search .. how are we supposed to find stuff without forum and thread search?

+1
Use Google. Just search for 'xda forum' then key words till we get website bug fuxed
Just maintenance being done. Sites with 4.5 million users do need that from time to time. It will be up again.

Sell your atrix thread

<Mod Edit>
I posted this in the wrong section, and am sorry.
</Mod Edit>
I thought this kind of thing should go in the market section.
Market section? Not familiar with it.
Last I checked they went for about 160 on amazon. Try selling it there?

That link doesn't work. At least on the app. @soldier xda frowns upon posting for sale items anywhere except marketplace.

Yeah, apparently tapatalk/xda-app is not smart enough to realize it's a subforum/section.
Works fine on the computer.

Correct I have seen threads like this closed by mods who directed the op to use the market place instead.

This is not the proper place for this... XDA has a market place, and you can sell your device there, if you meet the requirements.

Search in Stock messaging app

I was fairly surprised today when I tried to search my conversation list in the stock messaging app for a particular person. I knew the thread was there but search returned zero results.
So Google the kings of search have made a messaging app that doesn't allow you to search by sender? Really? That's beyond useless.

Legit Question
EDIT: This flaming was not deserved... Sorry for my hasty reply from a hasty read...
Absolutely sure that you are joking... I haven't had any problems searching the threads any time on my Nexus 4 when it was on Stock ROM or CyanogenMod.
If you provide more details about the phone, ROM and other things and conclusive proof of this blame, it may be believed. Till then, this is an unnecessary thread :/

I can confirm that there is no such option to search the person by name in stock ROM

My mistake
Didn't read the term "person name"...

Thanks Jamel. Not sure I deserved such a flaming for a legit question.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
lol I never noticed that either. I mean, I don't really get enough messages to need to search through them, but that is pretty lame that you can't search by name.
Sent from my Nexus 4 using xda app-developers app
Thanks for the edit bio. I don't search my sms a lot but when I do, it always by sender rather than content (which searches fine). Maybe Google will add this in the next update?
