If you want HSPL download the HSPLWrapper_Blackstone_156OliNex.zip from the Dummies guide
Unzip it to desktop
Turn your phone off
Hold Volume down key and turn on phone at the same time (this is Bootloader Tricolour screen)
Plug in you USB cable, you should see serial change to usb on bottom of your phone
left click on the file you downloaded and follow the screen that comes up ...easy
After that its the same process with a new ROM
Get to that step and we will help from there
HTC HD2 now has hspl on it tried to update rom i start the image update gets about half way, then syas
00018003
LEOIMG.nbh - FAIL
RADIO_V2 - RSA FAIL
Update terminate
UPDATE FAIL
When you enter Bootloader mode, just to be sure, what is shown for the SPL version?
You need HSPL 1.42.0000 on your device in order to flash successfully.
You must also flash a Radio version next and not a custom ROM version.
1. Download your required Radio and rename the extracted file to RUU_Signed.nbh
2. Sync your phone with the PC
3. Run CustomRUU.exe from the Radio's Folder and follow the instructions (if one isnt included then download it here)
don't instal from sd card.why would you?
instal hspl, flash rom/radio using usb,job done.

just to un confuse that statement, you need it too say in boot loader
spl 1.42.HSPL
and NOT
spl 1.42.0000
this is what im stuck with i cant boot the phone, to get it to sync with the pc
What error code do you receive when it fails to flash?
Try the following:
1. Download orginal ROM from HTC.com
2. Remove HTC Battery
3. Remove SD-Card
3. Connect the Phone via USB to Computer
4. Start-up the phone in Bootloader mode wuth the Tree-color screen
5. If everything is right, in the bottom you will see USB
6. Start-up the update on your computer (ROM you've downloaded from htc.com)
7. Run the Update
8. Your phone should now boot after it installs
9. Place the battery and SD-Card back in the Phone
If that works, first flash to a Radio version from the link specified above (in post #2), and then you can flash to a custom ROM.

No need to sync with the pc, provided when connected to the pc it shows usb at the bottom of that screen you can still flash.

Early Orange Mozart
Hi,
I have an Orange Mozart which I received on the first day they were sold to business customers. In the past I've had an HTC Desire which had a variety of cooked ROMS installed. I'd now like to debrand my phone and install an up to date ROM with NoDo.
Can anyone provide a solid reliable path for the upgrade?
My phone has the following specs.
Firmware revision: 2250.09.12435.061
Hardware revision: 0004
Radio software version: 5.50.09.18_22.24.50.09U
Radio hardware version: A.102.0.D4
Bootloader version: 1.24.2250.35(111169)40
Chip SOC version: 2.2.5.0
Advice/guideance would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Matt
I tried to unbrand a TMO AT HTC Mozart with this 2 files. The problem is, that after flashing the first ROM (RUU_Mozart_TMO_AT_1.30.401.01_Radio_5.54.09.21_22. 33b.50U_NoDo_by_ansar), the flash procedure is successful, that means after flashing the first ROM the phone boots normal and not into the bootloadermode. Is there any solution for this?

Is there a way to restore the British keyboard and spelling dictionary?
If not, is the first ROM (the one that failed to flash) a NODO build from Orange with UK keyboard/dictionary?

Surely being a Europe ROM it should be UK English seems as though the UK is part of Europe and America isn't

I'm typing up the step by step.... If you download the ROM make sure that its for your version of the HTC HD2..
If you simply put the phone in Bootloader Mode and Run the program its going to erase WP7, and MAGLDR and flash WM6.5 and leave HSPL (bad if your sending it in to the company)

The steps are the same for both the US version of this phone and also the EU (international) version, the only real IMPORTANT step is the first on where you download the stock WM6.5 rom
1. for a Tmobile US HD2 ONLY(Green Call button, and Red End Key) visit the Tmobile WM6.5 upgrade page and download the ROM
http://www.t-mobile.com/wmupgrade/
1a. for the European or International version (grey key colors no Tmobile branding) go to this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=623283 Pick the 3.14 ROM that suits your need (language).
2. Once you have downloaded the ROM you will have a .exe
"T-Mobile_HD2_MR_Software_3.14.531.1.exe" is the US HTC HD2
while the European (Internalional) will say depending on your language picked
"RUU_Leo_S_HTC_FRA_3.14.406.2_Radio_15.42.50.11U_2.15.50.14_LEO_S_Ship.exe
"
To Keep HSPL
3. Turn the phone on in Bootloader Mode and Start up the Update Program once completed it will restart and Boot WM6.5
Do note that it will take a while to turn on and Finish Booting WM6.5
________________________
TO REMOVE HSPL AND RETURN TO STOCK SPL
3a. Right click on the ROM (depending on the Archive Program) and choose to extract the contents of that package
4a. once extracted you want to put the "RUU_Signed.nbh" on a memorycard and rename it to LEOIMG.nbh..... (.nbh is the file extension dont make a file called LEOIMG.nbh.nbh)
5a. Once its copied over put the memory card in the phone and startup the phone in Bootloader Mode
6a. You will be asked if you would like to install the update by press the End KEY, go head and press it
7a. When it is done it will restart and which point you want to go into Bootloader Mode to check that "CotullaHSPL" is gone
If it is then your back to fully Stock
IF NOT then you must download HSPL3_PKG http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=6891358&postcount=1893 and run it
Choose "2.08.0000" to return to stock

SO you extracted the .exe (downloaded update file) and moved the biggest file (RUU_Segned) to the sdcard.
You try name variations?
LEOIMG (remove .nbh)

I have also tried this and it is not working. Once I get into the bootloader screen nothing happens. I am at a loss. I have the stock ROM already on it but I forgot about the HSPL should I send it back as is.

You should remove HSPL before sending it back or else they will see that you messed with it and it void your warranty
as for the bootloader not starting the update process.... Aslong as the SDcard works in the phone and you renamed the RUU_signed to LEOIMG it should start up
I'm also at a lost here!
i renamed the file and the update process started...but for some reason, it failed!
Right now, as long as i power up my HD2, a big exclamation mark appeared saying software update failed. please try again. and it just stays there...
need help badly!
thx
do a task29 (if you still have HSPL) and try again..
Aslong as you can go into the bootloader everything is okay
Just connect your HD2 to the PC while in bootloader and run ruu.exe that you've downloaded..
start up phone and pressing volume down till red green blue white.
and then it stays on serial
Bootloader
Bootloader Mode:
Bootloader mode is handy for checking the HD2's version of Hard SPL as well as the installed ROM and Radio versions, and also for ROM or Radio flashing to the HD2. I sometimes use the Bootloader method to flash ROMs as it saves connecting to Activesync/WMDC because the PC recognises the HD2 as connected via USB. It is also useful for flashing a ROM or Radio version if the battery charge is less than 50%, as it ignores the 50% charge warning that is normally displayed when flashing if the HD2 is low on charge. Never use this method if you have less than a 30% charge as you will be in deep trouble if the HD2 runs out of power while flashing a ROM or Radio version!
To place the HD2 into Bootloader mode, remove the HD2's back cover hold down the volume down key, now press in the red reset button under the back cover to the bottom left of the SIM, release the soft reset button but continue to hold the volume down key in until you are presented with the tri colour bootloader screen. To exit Soft Reset the device.
