This is not a Hardware Problem - HD2 General

I was using WP7 Mango with ICS dual boot, after upgrade the WP7 & ICS both I have new problem with touch screen.
Its working 2-3 mins after reboot, but suddenly touch is not working, again when I have pull the battery and restart the phone its working for 2-3 mins, and again same.
I have tried to go back Tmous stock rom, there is also the same issue.
Can any one help me out in this??
Thank you in advance

If the problem exists in stock windows mobile 6.5 then it is highly probable that it is a hardware issue.

It is a hardware issue, but the reasons could be a few. Most likely the heat of a working device expands the digitizer connectors and flex cable, which is why the issue appears after a few minutes.

Replacement needed
Anyway a new touchscreen is needed!

Thank you for replyssssssssss
I was using Stock rom from yesterday, working fine now. I went to WP7 same issue.
can it be virus issue??
May be some virus is in 1GB memory (ROM).
I don't know anything though

Not a virus. You mentioned you went back to stock rom and had the same issue, so now there is no issue? I guess it's solved then.

Yes there was some issue, don't know what was that but after Wipe(TASK29), there is no issue with touch. Working perfectly with "HD2_Pdaimatejam_Rom_Wp7.5_mango_7.10.8107.79_v7.3_L2_r5.51"
Issue starts from v7.5 for me though,
And touch is working perfectly with Protadroid.
I knew that was not a HARDWARE Issue.

[Q] T-Mobile HTC HD2

Hi i have a T-mobile HTC HD2 and i need some help. I have tried many builds including NAND and SD card android builds and also windows 7 but i seem to have a problem with my phone constantly freezing inside android or even when im trying to load MAGLDR sometimes it does a weird vibrate about 7 times. This is my main issue i tried to do task29 and restore everything and retry flashing it over but the problem seems to still occur i was wondering if anyone has a similiar problem and can help me diagnose whats wrong. It seemed to work fine before no freezes i dropped my phone several times I am not sure if that would cause it to freeze a lot or not. Thank you
I would highly suggest flashing everything back to stock and seeing if your warranty is still in effect, sounds like a possible hardware failure.

[HELP] DHD wakes up by itself

Hey,
I have a major problem for a couple of weeks now. My phone just keeps waking up randomly and turns the screen on by itself. I have root and s-off and tried out a few roms. Sense Roms as well as MIUI roms... It does not make a difference at all, so I guess it can't be rom related. I have read a few more posts on the web of users having a similar problem but there was no solution given anywhere.
Also, my speaker automatically turns on when I receive or make a call. These two problems seem interconnected since there is at least one person on xda having exactly the same two issues...
Does anybody have an idea or a solution for this? I would be thankful for any kind of help! Thank you in advance!!!
I've a similar problem a bunch of months ago, my phone turn on automatically, without no logic. I've resolved the problem pulling out the battery for a night, after that the problem disappeared.
I hope that will help you to resolve your problem,
Rodomar705
Thanks, I will try that out tonight and report!
Ok, I tried it out last night, but it did not work
Does anybody have a different idea?

Did you check the date and time once you'd insert battery inside DHD? I think to solve the problem that way, you should leave DHD without battery until the internal battery will be totally discharged. It takes approx. 12-14 hours, and you can be sure only if turning on DHD you'll find time and date set to 12:00am, 1st jan 1980 (or something like that).
Yeah, it definately worked though, time was resetted as well. I turned it in today, hope to be able to pick it up next week. Before, I ran the Ruu to set it back to shipping condition... It still had the same error, so it is definately not rom related...
It is a huge drag without it... Already feeling uncomfortable ^^

Sorry mate!! Just wait for a week, ist not so long time, and you'll get back your phone as new as when you bought first time!! Hope this makes you feel a little bit of joy!!
Ok, I have gotten my phone back on thursday (after one week)...
SO far so good, everything worked again, they even set the proximity sensor right again... Then I rerooted it and put another MIUI on it...
On friday then, I put Vipermod back in and undervolted it by 50 mA... BOOM, the issue came back, I couldn't remove it, so I took the battery out and waited for 12 hours, as you suggested... and it worked... Issue was gone... Then I ran vipermod again and BOOM the issue was there again... It didn't even help to set the mA values back to normal, I had to reset it again by taking out the battery for 12 hours.
So my conclusion is that this issue is directly related to the actual USE (not just the installation) of vipermod... Can anyone confirm? Don't want to put out false information in the vipermod thread without having others to confirm...

If changing the ROM didn't help then it is an app issue. One of your apps is causing it. Time to look deeper
I have exactly the same issue! Also with the speaker sometimes. Really annoying. If an app is causing it, how can we find out which one? I'm using ARHD 6.1.0, but I've had the issue with older versions of the ROM too (with the same apps installed).

Only way to find out is to test them one by one by reinstalling them one at a time

[Q] Dialing screen lock does not return (accelerometer issue?)

I have tried to find a solution for this issue on xda already, but no success. My apologies if I missed something then.
The thing is: when dialing or answering a call the screen goes off (it should, in order not to press anything with your ear, right?) immediately regardless the orientation of the phone and does not return to its previous state (in-call menu screen) after moving the phone from my ear (tried shaking, rotating, etc).
The issue appeared when I was using the one of the first Yuki's builds of wp7, now I have a completely updated Yuki's and XBmod's mango v2 7720 flashed exactly according to this guide http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1246040, and its still bothering me.
Any ideas? Will appreciate any.
Thanks.

Whats all that noise?
Sounds like a proximity sensor issue.
try dual booting an sd build and seeing if you have the same thing.
If yes then it is hardware related and your sensor is duff
If no then try reflash wp7.5
Good luck
mine works absolutely flawless, have you made a hard reset after flashing to 7720 final? you should do, as it resolves many issues raising up after a fresh flash....
Thanks much for suggestions. I'll try it.

[Q] Touch screen not responding that well

Hi!
With my HTC HD2, whenever I try to, for instance, type a message, the keyboard on my HD2 barely reacts or hits the wrong key. Installing a swype-like keyboard like TouchPal may solve this but for some apps like games this may get an issue later on.
I'm running tytung's NexusHD2 v2.3-HWA, which runs fine (thanks!). Just this issue.
No idea if this also occurs in WM6.5, but not going to switch back just to check that
How can this be fixed?
Aside from that, is there any way to speed up the ROM? It's fast enough as of now but speed is always useful
Thanks!
Was am issue with my ROM, flashed another one and now it works fine!

Try disabling the keypress vibration or sound when typing. It helps ALOT for me.
same problem for me
i had the same issue with ROM,after flashing to another one it works great
In the future, just run a ROM from SD and see if that changes things, that way you don't lose your current ROM.
But yeah glad you fixed it
From an SD card it's even worse, lmao

Most likely you won't be able to fix this(unless you replace digitizer, but it's not 100% solution!).
Sometimes, it's true very rarely, some HD2 hardware is not fully compatible with android(more often touchscreen function related!), but could be fully working on WM.
Even it seems a bit hassle, you should flash a WM and see what happens!
Thanks for your reply.
It works fine now, so I am not going to fiddle around anymore

No, myMIUI works better than the other ROMs. WM6.5 sucks, I'd never switch back to that
@bib*oops: Sure.

[HELP] Weird Accelerometer problem in HD2. Please Help!

I purchased a used HD2 a few months ago which was preinstalled with Android 2.1 Sense. Everything was working perfectly (also the accelerometer). Then, after a few days of purchasing the touch screen digitizer was not working (i mean, no touch), so I gave it for repair and it was fine. But, the accelerometer was not working on the Android build (Nexus HD2 ICS v2.1 NAND) I was using (previously it worked before repair). So, I installed WinMo just to confirm and found that the accelerometer was working fine. Then, I installed WP7 Rom (HD2o) and again the accelerometer was working fine. I booted Android from SD (ParanoidAndroid) and the accelerometer was not working. I tested a few more builds and it was not working.
As it is working in Windows, I guess it is not hardware issue.
The Great folks at XDA, Please Help!
I think this is an Android related problem, so I posted here.
So how can we help you? Most of people got working accelerometer out of box on android, so don't get too fast assumptions, it MIGHT be hardware issue(it's more complicated than it's working or NOT)
As for help, try using several kernels, start especially with stable ones, like Tytungs then go off for another kernels.
By this service, are you sure they havent replaced more parts, like motherboard etc? What version of radio and HSPL have you used before and are using now?
As I mentioned, the Accelerometer was working PERFECTLY in WP7 and Windows Mobile.
What is the issue with Android ?

So I'm assuming it WORKED in android. Try using GPS status app or Tricorder, they show info about accelerometer data, then you'll know if it's working partially or not.
Oh, there is a chance that in repair service they replaced some parts in your HD2 with china counterfeit and drivers are not working correctly under android. But hell knows.
Check if it's working anyway.
actually, you're not the only wich have that problem, in this POST, much people, including me, are trying to do work the g sensor

Well, its not a g-sensor calibration problem.
Its just that the accelerometer doesn't work in any of the android builds.
