Hi i have a T-mobile HTC HD2 and i need some help. I have tried many builds including NAND and SD card android builds and also windows 7 but i seem to have a problem with my phone constantly freezing inside android or even when im trying to load MAGLDR sometimes it does a weird vibrate about 7 times. This is my main issue i tried to do task29 and restore everything and retry flashing it over but the problem seems to still occur i was wondering if anyone has a similiar problem and can help me diagnose whats wrong. It seemed to work fine before no freezes i dropped my phone several times I am not sure if that would cause it to freeze a lot or not. Thank you
I would highly suggest flashing everything back to stock and seeing if your warranty is still in effect, sounds like a possible hardware failure.

Hi guys.
Thanks for the great work you guys achieved!
I have been enjoying my HD2 much more these days.
I have been testing and flashing the nand roms on this forum and it seems all the desire roms are giving me a random reboot on my phone.
Not constant but at least twice a day.
I've uninstalled(or not installed any) apps or killer tasks.
The most stable nand rom I used without crashing much was the nexus rom.
Has the bug from Desire creeped into the nand rom based on Desire?
I've searched the forum and it says it could be corrupt data on the SD card
but I've cleared and formatted the SD card many times.
Any ideas what is causing the crash?
One key point is that my phone is in a flat where the signal is not very good so it is constantly looking for signal from the provider.
Apart from that I have all the HARDSPL 2.08, MAGLDR 1.11 installed and never had a issue flashing the roms.
Any advice or solution would be grateful! Thanks~
are you using an overclocked kernal? cause sometimes it happens when you are using it at full speed and starts rebooting itself, imho...
+1 on the Kernel theory here... Not all silicone is created equal, some phones can take the OC, some can not. Try and throttle it down with SetCPU.
Are you freezing up before the reboots??

I have the same problems.
I dunno
Now how would I check if I am using the overclocked kernal on my phone?

Not just overclocked kernels, undervolted kernels also don't work well for some people.
OP: which build are you currently using?
Install SetCPU and dial it down a little. If you don't know chances are you are not OC'ed, but that doesn't mean your CPU isn't taking some pain. Bring it down to say.... 800 and see if it holds on. Worth a shot.

Okie thanks for the quick reply
Currently I am running DFT stock Desire rom.
I think I flashed the phone with every nand rom on this forum....lol
The phone will just reboot when left alone.
So I don't know if it is crashing or freezing.
Sometimes it reboots while charging and sometimes just on standby doing nothing.
Doesn't seem to be getting warm but maybe I can't really feel it as it is bloody cold in my room.
I will try the SetCPU option and see what happens.
It may as well be something that simply occurs randomly. I flashed jdms nand 2 days ago & it worked great, yesterday tho I had to reflash wm coz I needed to reinstall copilot & deactivate it so I could get it on android. Once I went back to jdms nand, I started getting random reboots. So I went ahead & reflashed a 3rd time & its been stable once again.

It may also be just something it does early on, give it some time to settle...

i dont have this problem, i testing my rom on 3 days without sim-card. And it work well.
Thanks for the help guys!
Dialed down to 806 MHz.
I will report tomorrow if it reboots or not.
I get really jumpy when my phone suddenly vibrates on me...lol
i had it 2day for the first time, dont know why . im using the standerd rom from cotulla. i had it on the table while i was on my laptop n suddenly
it reboot itself
Yeah its scary coz you never expect it.
Imagine you are on your own watching the Ring or something and the phone jumps up!-_-;;
also keep in mind that your mainboard in the hd2 could be the problem. Had those reboot issues in winmo 6.5 (sometimes when doing nothing but mostly when watching youtube/cpu intensive service).
So i sent my phone to a repair center, they replaced the mainboard and since my phone doesn't reboot > sod whatever again and believe me there are an load of faulty mainboard around sadly
Second that, this girl had the same problem and she just got a warranty phone (new)

I had no problem what so ever when using windows rom, and I used whole bunch of them.
Had freezing from time to time but never reboot issue.
I've searched and there is a whole forum and issue on the HTC Desire rebooting constantly....
The phone rebooted itself just now even with the 800mhz drop.
I am going reflash to stock wm rom and then back to the most stable Nexus Android rom and see what happens from there.
Those of you who haven't had this problem yet let me inform you that this problem doesn't start right away after you flash the rom, maybe couple of days or a week after it started.
Let's try and get it sorted out~!
same problems here, using mdj gingerbread 1.3
but its always freeze while running heavy cpu load apps like games, earth, youtube etc
tried donwclock to around 800 mhz but dont solved =/
Same problem here , randomly reboot.
I m using JDMS 1.62 , only happen on android , WM rom is working fine without reboot.
Well it seems I am not the only one having this problem here.
Anybody running Nexus rom and still having random reboot issues?
Or anyone running Android on SD card without and random reboots?
Could it be the the data on the phone is rewriting the wrong information and causing it some process to fail and to reboot?
It doesn't seem to be the hardware fault(then it would happen alot more often as hardware fail will be permanent and problem would show more frequently) although I have read on the Desire forum people have been sending their phone back for motherboard replacement with mixed results.
Currently reflashing again!
Hey
I'm running DK 4.4, and my phone just appears to be randomly freezing while it's in my pocket.
I should note this has been happening with other roms as well, so I seriously doubt it's a rom issue.
I'm not overclocked (anymore).
The screen just won't turn on.
People can even call me and to them it seems like it's ringing, but it's not and nothing happens.
The only way to recover from that seems to be to take the battery out and put it back in.
I finally managed to catch it in action and have a look at the log, but I couldn't find anything useful.
Maybe someone else can
logcat:
http://pastebin.com/kS3EnPQa
Also, I should mention the freeze happened a couple of minutes before the end of this logcat, the log keeps updating even though the phone appears frozen.
adb shell doesn't seem to work, though, and neither does adb reboot
Thanks
Hi. Flash an old 2.1 stock RUU original rom, root again and check if the phone works. Sounds like a Software or Hardware issue. Otherwise you can try to wipe phone and test the DK ROM again.
Do you use cache to ext? Download and install free app ap2sd GUI from Market and move cache back to internal. Maybe your sd card should be Checked too.
Do you use the default dk Kernel without over or downclock under 3cxphone MHz?
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using Tapatalk
Fair enough, I'll try it.
I'm curious, though, are you actually seeing something in the log?
As for the cache to ext, my dalvik cache used to be on my SD card, but I already moved it back thinking it might be the issue
EDIT: as for the kernel, I use the original DK one (iirc that's the original HTC kernel?), shouldn't be over/underclocked.
I had this same issue and was about to return my Wildfire, but then the microSD died! So I got a new one and its been fine ever since so maybe try another card if you can and if the above suggestion doesn't work.

Thanks for the suggestions!
I'll be sure to try them. Maybe my Wildfire isn't on its death bed after all
Your not the only one my GFs phone has the dame prob plz do let me know if u manage to fix it. Thx
P.s. her phone's completely stock no root no nothing.

It definitely seems like it's the SD card.
I tried using a different one and I haven't had any problems for about 48 hours.
Will update if it changes
Thanks a lot for the suggestions, guys!

Hi I have a HTC wildfire on Vodafone with the newest android version loaded, the problem that I have is that it keeps on locking up and the only way to clear it is to take the battery out but sometimes this does not work as it locks up again. It is very frustrating anyone can help me many thanks.
Freezes or what?
Have you tryed you phone with out the SD card in ?
I have read that it might be that causing the falt

I had a similar issue and it was indeed a faulty SD card.
I highly recommend checking if you still have issues without it
I have some odd problems with my HD2 after installing two different WP7 roms (HD2O & XBMod) and am wondering if this is an issue with WP7 running on the HD2 that is universal, or is there possibly a problem with my particular hardware.
The main issue is that if the HD2 is moved (turned, twisted, etc.), it will revert back to the home screen and flicker and sometimes the voice activation app starts asking me to speak a command. It doesn't matter what I am doing at that moment. It is happening in both roms.
Are others having the same issue?
I apologize if this is a known problem, but I could not find any info. Any suggestions?

sounds like its hardware related mate, you could try reverting back to a WM6.5 ROM see wehat happens there, id SD flash a stock original ROM which will revert your whole phone, SPL included, back to an original state
then if that works ok start again, HSPL>Radio>magldr>WP7 ROM,if none of that works then its definitely hardware
to be honest the flickering sounds more like a hardware issue...
For the past month or so I've suffered from random major lag that forces me to reboot the device. For an idea of how bad the lag is: the television animation when putting the phone into standby in Android 2.3 will take up to 10 seconds to complete.
I've attempted different nand android builds, including sense builds, non sense builds, and cyanogenmod and all give me the same issue.
I've done task 29 multiple times, and even flashed a winmo rom on to the phone and then reverted back to Android and the problem is still occuring. I've also attempted formatting my SD card, and trying a different SD card to no avail.
Sometimes it'll take an hour of rebooting the phone to get it to stop fatally lagging for a few hours.
I'm getting the Sensation on Wednesday however I'm selling this phone to a cousin and/or keeping it and would like to fix it.
Help please...thank-you in advance
Edit: I'm using the tmous version
