Hello:
I have "MIUI 1.12.16" gingerbread installed on u8800pro, and now I want to go back / restore official gingerbread (stock rom), for installing another custom rom, like cm7, instead of MIUI.
How do I go back to official gingerbread from MIUI? I have the backup file from clockworkmod.. I just restore it and thats it??
Or do I have to place the "dload" folder in sd, with the "UPDATE.APP" and "UPDATE_g.APP" files? Because I tried to do that and I get "no certificate file found on sd"
Thanks
just restore backup. Do all the wipes first then restore.

Can i install the stock T-Mobile ROM with ClockworkMOD 3? and If so where can i find the latest T-Mobile ROM?
Got to the Dev section, check out the ROM listings, try to find a stock rooted ROM.
Once you find the proper one, put the zip on your SD card (no folder, just on the root). Open up ROM Manager and click "Install ROM from SD Card", then select the ROM file.
Don't forget to do a backup via ROM manager before you flash, and do another one after you install the stock ROM again.
It's there a way to remove manually ClockWorkMod (2nd-init) from stock rom?
Besides, erase bootmenu folder, what more i have to do?
if you want to stay on stok Rom, reset the mobile data
of course you can back up apps first
Well, my intention it's a little more complicated... I want to create a custom sbf following instructions from Vaserbanix thread in order to have a 2.2.2 sbf from my original system. In some pages, i get an original sbf from my carrier but it's a 2.2.1 version... My phone came with a 2.2.2 version, so i made a nandroid backup, then i extracted system but i realized that my system it's already rooted and with bootmenu included. So, i want to make it more "stock"
Solved. Please, moderator...close this thread....
Hi.
I am looking for a way to reinstall the 4.0.3 stock ROM.
TPT is still stock.
Could you tell me where to find a file, wich is copied to a sd card, named update.zip and flashed inside the recovery?
I found this:
http://download.lenovo.com/slates/think/tablet1/
According to the status page in settings i have a version number mathing the last filename on that page.
But that file is only 4 mb in size, so definitly no ROM.
there is no update zip or stock something to restore the ICS.
Only if you have a backup you or someone else made.
But you must have a CWM installed, and the restore a backup.
I can provide a backup of my ROW ICS tpt, but you still need the CWM.
I am currently running one of the CM 7.2 modifications and it does not have an option to launch the update frocess from official update package.
The phone is U8800 PRO. Sadly, I don't have a nandroid backup, it would be dead simple to flash stock ROM backup files and I wouldn't be writing here
So, what can I do? Maybe some of you running stock ROM with "Launch update from SD card" button can share your nandroid? Any advice woudl be appreciated.

download stock gingerbread ROM. create a folder called update on your external SD card. put the update file inside that. now replace your cwm recovery with stock gingerbread recovery. power off phone then
vol up + power button, stock recovery should automatically install the GB update.
*critical that you use stock GB recovery.

That is exactly what I thought, I don't have stock recovery though, this is my problem. Mind if I ask you to share it with me if you have a copy?
Hi. I'm using the 18/Redmi2Prime and I was thinking of reverting back to MIUI and I'm on CM13. I'm kind of confused with all the threads here because it's been a while since I was active here in the forums. Can't I just flash the MIUI ROM over CM13 using TWRP 2.8.7 with a clean install?
I wanted a rooted lollipop miui hence I am reluctant of choosing this. And I donno which ROM to choose either. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Grab a copy of the stock recovery from here, and follow the instructions to install it onto your device. Basically, download the file, extract the .img file from it, and install the .img file using TWRP. Then boot to recovery.
Then, download a copy of the official MIUI ROM (beta, release or otherwise), from here, rename it as update.zip, copy paste it to your SD card (internal/external), and from the stock recovery, wipe all existing data (cache and user data - SD card can stay). Install the update.zip from the recovery from the options shown.
Done.
Additional notes -
1. If you are plan to go back to a custom ROM, then install a pre-lollipop based MIUI ROM, or backup your EFS, Modem, Boot partitions prior to wiping the existing recovery - this will save you a lot of trouble, and perhaps opening another thread.
2. It is preferable to download the MIUI ROM and rename it as update.zip before you restore to stock recovery, should anything go wrong down the lane. (That is, without a ROM installed, and the computer just not willing to recognize your device, you might end up in a small soup - you cannot access the files on the phone using the stock recovery easily.)
3. If anything goes wrong, check for instructions on how to install the MIUI ROM using fastboot.
Hey thanks for the quick reply. Will do the mentioned and will get back to you if need be. Thanks again!
But wait. It isn't prerooted right?
