When I connect USB cable, the device is not recognized and sometimes don't turn on the white LED.

did you use the phone after you flashed quarx 05/03, and are you sure that you flashed froyo kernel one and not defy+ gb kernel?

I am not an expert, but you must provide better info to get good reply.
1. you say "bought it with Android 2.5.6" but there is no 2.5.6 !
I guess this was a simple typo but we can not be sure what you really mean!
2.3.6 ? what SBF build ? you can find that in phone info!
2. CM7.1 was developed primarily for defy, not defy+, that's why it now says MB525 on your device.
3. "When I try to flash ROM for DEFY+..." be specific: what defy+ rom ???
4. What build of cm7.1 did you install ? and what Kernel does it use now ?
perhaps you get kernel mismatch error when changing rom..
Go to info on you phone and find out + post complete screencap or something like this:
System Version: 45.0.74.MB526.Retail.en.DE
Model number: MB526
Android version: 2.3.4
Baseband version: EPU93_U_00.60.00
KERNEL VERSION: 2.6.32.9-gbad50c3
[email protected] #1
Build number: 4.5.1-134_DFP-74
That will make it possible for someone on forum to give good advice!
Haha its very simple. Its all written in the build.prop
You can name your phone a gs2 or even a prada lol. Nothing to worry.
Use rom toolbox or something to change the build.prop
MB526

Hi there! First of all your phone is not bricked. You should first try to get in the recovery menu by pressing one of the volume buttons when the sensor is having a blue color. From there, if you can access the menu please do a full data wipe\factory reset, wipe dalvik and cache and then try to install the newest version of CM9 based on your phone model (defy or defy+) with the corresponding kernel and rom.
However, if you can't access the recovery menu, then restart your phone and hold the power button + volume down till a black screen with white text appears. Afterwards, connect your phone to your PC through USB cable (make sure you have enough battery left and doesn't die in the process) start RSD Lite load the sbf file and install it. Hope my answer helps, if so, hit thanks . Good luck !
Last night I rooted my Defy+ with CM7(latest nightlies from defy-cm.net), applied battery and camera fix, everything worked perfectly and I enjoyed it.
I tried little experimenting then installed CM9(usedEpsylon builds) and flashed the kernel mentioned here(http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1432100&page=3) but then I noticed it had lot of bugs and my phone started having a lot of weird reboots.
So I thought of reverting back to CM7 and then problem of the battery popped up. Battery now shows a question mark and I dont know whether it could charge or not. After reading a lot I thought it would be better to revert to CM9 just incase if the battery isn't charging and then I'd have to find a workaround for charging.
Although I love CM( very much but I can't stick to it because of the camera and a lot of instability.
After studying forums I realised it may be because of the incompatible kernel for CM7. So the only way I could get teh original kernel is by flashing the original SBF. But the problem arises is that I cant find the same build for my device and I am little skeptical about flashing with different SBF. Also I have no nandroid backup as such. Nearest I could find a SBF was with 4.5.1-134_DFP-1321. Also I have gone through all the Walter79 posts and his SBF collection too and it doesnt have the SBF for my DEFY+.
Can somebody guide me with the workaround?
My DEFY+ specifications:
system version - 45.0.891.MB526,AsiaRetail.en.03
model number - mb526
android version - 2.3.4
baseband version - epu93_u_00.60.00
kernel version - 2.6.32.9-gbdd614e [email protected]#1
build number - 4.5.1-134_DFP-891
Hi,
My Defy+ also came with the same SBF version however I updated it to another one and now service center updated it to another one(which is unrootable!!) So be careful while choosing the SBF(Don't worry I will tell you which one should be safe! ). First:
There are issues with battery charging with CM9. moreover you should have tried Quarx's build CM9 for Defy+. Both CM7 and CM9_Defy+ of quarx are more stable!! however, as per memory serves I remember flashing CM7 for Defy when I had the version of SBF you have, so I believe even CM9 for Defy should work(No need to flash extra kernels if you flash the Defy versions of CM).
Now coming to the SBF part you may go for this SBF(from my dropbox). It is 4.5.1-134_DFP-1321 version SBF. That will update your phone to 2.3.6 and BL6. Thus you won't be able to downgrade to any Froyo kernels and will have to use CM7 and CM9 for Defy+ builds(use Quarx's build this time). However NEVER flash the version with DFP-231!!! It has BL7 and is still not rootable!!! ( Thanks to dumb service center people I am stuck with this!!)

Hey. Wait for sometime. I will update the link.
Please allow a short question concerning the downgrade:
I'm currently on CM10 on my Defy+ and want to go back to CM7.
Can I just use the recovery boot and install from a CM7 file or is anything else needed before flashing CM7 file?
Thanks a lot
Hi everyone and sorry for my english, today i flashed the nightly for my defy red lens (which is for defy+) everything i have used is ok for now but i have noticed that my battery doesn't last too much like before (cm9 epsylon) now i have cm10 from quarx. i've already flashed the battery fix when flashing the rom, if you know something i can use or something help me!!
Great News for those green lense defy (mb525) owners like me who have accidentally flashed full defy plus sbf & they were on bl7.
Root ur Cell & use Quarks IInd boot defy rom with custom kernels..
You will find your camera live & working fine.. ( my camera was not working since last 1 month after i flashed full defy plus sbf )
No problem with charging battery at all... Full Credit goes to Quarks.............:good:
Dear Dev....
Now as kernels have been changed can we flashed roms for which 2.2 is req as base version ??
Or we will be able to flash 2.2 Nandroid Back up???
Dear forum friends. The M525 was my defy but did an update of a rom. it's now become forever m526 defy (defy +). I know that my defy not be back more defy525. I know that I can only put roms for defy +. my defy is rooted, everything ok, I install android 2.3.7 rom type Whiterabbitnextgen Edition 2.1.1 [Custom] [2.3.7] Cyanogenmod 7.2 [Custom] [2.3.7] 3.1.27 Wiui among others, it runs a beauty, also notice that the startup device, see the sequence of lights and blue then green. okay. Now comes the problem, when I install roms androids from version 4, I see that the sequence of lights in the boot, first blue then red, realize that there is something wrong in this red light. Installed rom android 4, the rom works fine but when I want to go back to 2.3.7 rom, the device installs and not to solve this problem, I have to use RSD Lite SBF with the following: First-DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1 134_DFP -231 and then DEFYPLUS_U3_4.5.1-134_DFP-231_CEE_ROOTED_No_Signed it back to normal with the lights boot blue and then green. Is how I explain it and do not understand that a lot of KERNEL I see in many roms. hugs to all.
About the color leds .....
* firstly blue and then green means that the rom is sndinit and it is using original motorola kernels
* firstly blue and then red means that the rom is Second boot with custom kernel so it means you nedn't to instal any kernel.
