No complaints, just a place to sing the praises of the awesomeness that is CM9.
I for one love CM9. Sure, there's some things that could be improved, but this rom is just amazing. I especially love that ICS is working on a phone that Samsung was just to lazy to work on. We get the benefits of Matias Duarte's amazing talent combined with the real-world-minded approach to porting of the ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AND FABULOUS CM9 developer team.
And perhaps the best thing: This is a work in progress, so that means regular updates with continued improvements.
What could be better?

It is not that Samsung was too lazy it was that it would require them to give up their proprietary BML partition or restructure it which if done by OTA would stand to great a risk of bricking the phone, especially one over a year and a half old.

I've lost track of how many people asked how I got it on my epic... actually only 1 person asked because at my school people like the name HTC so they think they have the best phone no matter what. Its a stupid trend. The 1 guy was astounded lol

Beta2 rocks. I look at some of the other threads about what the future of CM9 should be, and I can't help but thinking,"NOOOOO! DON'T MESS WITH IIIIITTTTT!"
I think I'm going to stick with Beta2 until I see some overwhelmingly compelling reason to update again.

Im sorry that my enthusiasm over a product that im proud of offended you. Im assuming a formal greeting in this section is not necessary, and therefore i am getting the repercussions. I wanted to properly introduce myself and i guess thats a big no no here. I apologize to those i have offended.

This is starting to get ridiculous, are the galaxy s the only high end phones that don't have 2.2 yet? I got my son a Droid X yesterday and it came with 2.2, my buddy got an Evo and it came with 2.2. Does anybody know when these clowns are really going to bless the galaxy s phones with 2.2. I'm getting real tired of hearing(mine comes with 2.2)
Bad place to put this and bad topic. We should be getting this this month and if not then we won't. Development has picked up and we have overcome most shortcomings. The devs don't want to see this. Samsung went back to the drawing board when people were unimpressed by the initial update to avoid a droid x like fiasco. I prefer a good update when it's ready than one that crooked out phones. Please respect the devs and don't post non -developmental things here. The general forums are more suitable.
First of all, asking will not make it happen sooner.
Second, this isnt Fascinate Development related, so wrong forum.
Third, how the hell should we know. No one on xda is making 2.2, and just like you we are all waiting for an official release.

We get GB like 2 weeks later and have a superior, nearly unbrickable phone. I think I'll survive just fine. Have fun with lag when GB doesn't love the Snapdragon.

Well guys it has been fun I made the jump tongue 3vo and have to say it is an amazing device. I have been sceptical about everything worrying if the 3d was a gimmick or worth it. I compared both phones side by side and the colors were way better and looked sharper. You could tell it had some power under the hood as the phone easily handled everything i threw at it . I have enjoyed flashing custom roms and look toward doing the same as you all know one flash and your hooked. Today I will test its legs fully with the battery and gaming. See you on the other side.

You fail at fail, it's meant not ment, what's your excuse? Also, he was using his phone which tends to auto correct horribly at times.
Feed the trolls people.. I thought about going to the new evo, but I think there will be something better this christmas my sources say.
I wanted to tell you guys, that you guys are pure awesomeness. I bailed on the Epic 4g a while ago when the development was at a standstill, so I went and got a HTC Evo 3D. I kept my Epic 4g, and bought the evo 3d, and I thought I was on to better, and newer things. I didn't think the Epic 4g's development was going to go anywhere, BUT BOY, did you developers prove me wrong, and I'm sure, many others too. The Epic 4g's development community is pure awesome, to say the least!
Now that I've made the switch to the MTD filesystem, my phone feels like a whole new phone, and I'm sure once all the wrinkles get worked out, it's just gonna blow everyone away.
I know all the tireless hours that go into development, and believe me, literally weeks, and sometimes months or longer, of all day sitting in front of a computer.
I just want to say to all the developers for our Epic 4g, thank you, for all the sacrifices you've made for your love of technology, and it's advancement!
And to all the trolls, who appreciate nothing, and all they do to contribute to our community is ***** and complain, you people, can go kick rocks!
