any ideas as to what i can do ?
Same Problem
Hi All,
I'm facing the same problem,
I'm not able to navigate the menu of MAGLDR
Can we change MAGLDR to use other keys instead (i.e. Volume Keys Mapping) or If there is any android touch bootloader where no need for the volume buttons,
Thanks,

HI,
Is there a way to flash the new roms without the Volume rocker working. My phone was all good till i dropped it and the volume rocker has stopped working.
I ask tot he super minds...Is there a way to flash a rom if ones volume rocker is not working?
I looked at the ROM thread for WP7 and at one point you have to chose USB flasher via the volume key. If thats true and there is no other way then i cant instal WP7 ever..
************sigh**********
PLS help
EDIT:--- Now i am dead... installed radio....installed magldr and now cant select usb flasher mode. Damn.
Pls help
i dont think there is a way without volume down key...
How can i boot directly into boot loader without volume key??
has to be a workaround with all the smart ppl here.
XDA rulezzzzz....someone help me
if you don't have volume keys, you won't be able to change the volume in win phone :L
LOL
will do it via system sounds.....
BUT PLSSSS someone help me instal WP& without the volume rocker working
stuck badly now
Installed magldr and now ant choose the USB flasher mood.
Pls someone help me to get back or get forward...
or am i bricked?
Really worried
You need Enter boot software.
My friend Spike advised it to me long time ago so all credits go to him for finding it.
http://www.google.nl/search?sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8&q=htc+enter+boot+cab
Edit, but if you try WP7 you need to realise Enter boot won't work there so you can't go back.
Better to fix the volume keys.

Thanks for that.
The only problem is that he's already installed magldr and AFAIK there's no way to get back to WM to run the cab, unless you know of a way back that doesn't involve using the vol keys?
You need an electronics dude (like me) or some experience on how-to de-assemble at least phones anyway if you succeed on de-assembling the phone all you have to do is using a tiny pin plug it inside the volume controls you should be able to press the pcb push button and not the outside plugin
If you cant do all of this ask a friend of yours (electronics) or take to phone shop hell do it for you in exactly 30 secs
no way ...
There no way to flash WP7 without volume key ... Many rom or tool offer you
the possibility to enter directly in bootloader but after flashed MagLdr you will be stuck because you will be unable to enter in MagLdr and unable to scroll down to choice 5 (usb flash). i know it because i have the same problem ....

Hi, sorry for my really bad english. Im Argentinian. I have a little problem.
I cant enter in the flash mode, dont work the volume keys in my HD2, i cant navigate the MAGDLR menu, and its impossible install another ROM, a few months ago installed WP7 for testing the touchscreen (didnt work, replace it) but now dont work the volume keys and really want to go back to android.
There's another way to enter the flash menu??
thanks! and again sorry for the bad english
I have been hanging around the HD2 forums for a little over a year now and this problem has came up several times. And I have not read of any work around for getting into the bootloader without working volume up and down buttons and no Windows Mobile on the HD2.
Even if there was a work around to get to the bootloader, once you flash MAGLDR you can not use the volume buttons to scroll through the menu of MAGLDR. And it doesn't stop there you would also have to have the volume buttons to flash a Android ROM via Clockwork Mod Recovery.
So My advice to you is to see about getting the volume buttons fixed or get a new device. Sorry but that is the hard facts.
Hi, as from another thread you will see that I have mentioned the screen is malfunctioning, i.e doing things itself. Went to a mobile shop today and the chaps said it's defo a digitizer related problem, so I've ordered one.
Now the other problems I have is that the micro usb port has come off the solder so isn't connected to the circuit and hence won't work in both charging the phone and letting you connect to pc.
Lastly the major problem is the volume rocker. It doesn't function at all, I tried opening the phone and repositioning the button but it's fine. I think it's missing the circuit below the volume button or something as I didn't feel a button thing there, it was only two dots where volume up and down are.
So the big question is. Will there be anyway in which I can flash a new rom without getting into bootloader as the volume rocker doesn't work. Also the micro usb port doesn't work too, so is there a way? Or would I have to get the volume rocker fixed?
Sorry to tell you but the volume rocker being functional is a must for MAGLDR. You can not navigate MAGLDR without a working volume rocker. You can access the bootloader via a couple of different apps via Windows Mobile, but after flashing MAGLDR or clk you can no longer access the bootloader without the volume rocker working.
You do have touch enabled custom recoveries, and you can flash clk via SD card. But you can not flash Clockwork Mod Recovery or any other custom recovery without a working USB port. So final answer, you need to get one of the two working before you can flash Android to NAND.
Some months back I installed Dynamics ROM v2.1.
Yesterday I wanted to flash the newest version 2.2 on my Omnia 7.
But I'm unable to enter the MAGLDR screen with volume down + power button + camera button.
It gives a faible vibration when it tries to enter the MAGLDR menu but the Samsung Omnia 7 logo just keeps standing there.
After a few seconds the logo disappears and reappears.
When I release the buttons the phone just loads the currently installed ROM.
Same with the Download mode; Although when holding volume up + camera button, then inserting the usbcable I'm able to enter download mode.
Anyone experienced this before?

Did you try to reinstall the magldr with download mode + dft tool?

Thanks Anaheiim,
I managed to install the MAGLDR v2 again with updating samsung usb drivers.
Altough it works, the only way I can get into the menu is:
- remove battery
- insert battery again
- hold volume down + camera button
- attach usbcable to phone
Then after pressing the back button I managed to get into the MAGLDR menu.
Without the USB cable I cannot get it to work, but at least it is working again.

I will give your ROM a go aswell. I think I did try one of your beta versions some time ago.
Can't recall the reason for switching back to dynamics, though.
I have sorted out what the exact issue is, the camera hardware button needs to be pressed really hard.
It seems to not always register when I press it.
Hi all,
I hope I am posting in the correct place.
I got my screen fixed by a guy and he returned the phone with the volume buttons not working.
He told me to do a factory reset but I forgot I had a custom Rom installed(extrestolite) so after factory reset the phone is stuck on android screen and I can't use the volume button to boot into recovery. When I connect the phone to my laptop it doesn't show up as an adb device because its not fully booting I presume. So I can't adb shell into recovery either. Do I have any other options here or has my stupidity and this guys incompetent work doomed my phone? Thanks guys.
Did the volume keys work before the screen repair?
If yes, I'd open the phone again and see if it is a simple fix

Yes the functionality of the phone was perfect before the screen fix. I went to a shop and the guy said the volume buttons are soldered to the motherboard(replacing or reconnecting the buttons was my first thought) is this true?
Can you boot into download mode and flash the stock rom with the microSD hack?
