mw2 midnight launch is tonight...anyone plan on getting it for ps3?
i think it would be more fun to play with people online who are from xda and are actually android users. we could discuss android related things online while we game on mw2.. this is just a thread for promoting an android social community outside xda

I like how people can't really read. This is a general section for dream and promoting a social community for dream and magic users outside ofxda would fall under general.
It's just something fun to do.I personally met one person fromxda dream on cod4 and actually talking about what's new in the dream section or giving advice is actually a lot better thru voice.

Bought it at Launch last night. It was worth it, stayed up till 2 a.m. playing. Had to get up at 6 a.m. for classes.
I'm on the 360 though, if you are to, hit me up. My GT is Wisefire93.

what do u mean? i pretty much made it clear that this belongs in general as i am promoting a social community outside of xda mainly for dream and magic users... u just dont know how unbelievably easy it is to chat online PSN (or XBL)with other xda dream n magic users and to share new info found with roms n new update.

And the PC version is really nerfed I'm probably going to have to buy it from Steam today, though.

Square enix did an announcement earlier this week about the famous Imaginary Range being nearly available For Free for Android device.

Speaking of Square Titles. How does FPSE handle FF8 / FF9? . Would you be able to Test Either of these games? I was having issues with both of these using psx4droid.

I just paid $5 for this app yesterday and can't get it to work.
It asks me to select the BIOS then keeps asking me to select it.

That's because you need to give it the proper BIOS to run the games.

What do you mean by "voice fixed"? Valkyrie Profile's developers smartly inserted synchronization "checks" via the game's voice sound files into multiple parts of the games to prevent emulators from progressing further into the game. The first "check" is near the beginning of the game, where Lenneth and Freya are about to teleport down below into Midgard.
Are you saying that version 0.10.48 is able to bypass these "checks"? I have not been able to get version 0.10.48 to bypass these "checks". And for the record, I have not been able to get the lastest version, 0.10.54, to bypass these checks either.
Were you able to do so?

I tried Valkyrie profile with the latest version of fpse, it wont go past the first bit where you meet some floating woman, the game hasnt crashed as you can press LT to bring up a box with text in, but it will not progress any further

As expected, because you were at the first "check" that I had described in my first post. The game did not continue because simply emulating a PS1 is not likely to pass the "checks".
OP seemed to have implied that v0.10.48 has a way to bypass the "checks", but I am not sure and have not found a way myself. So, I am asking for clarification.

not ment to be out yet for either phone's but get it from my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1402308 if your on 2.3.4 they will install straight like any other app if xperia play, only english and japan store work so far.

We have all ready had it update it's self since i have had it. So dont think you should have any problems. if any issues just uninstall then install the official release. any brought game will stay on your psn account and will be saved.

im sad... i cant use the new suite.... stupid verizon and 2.3.3

Someone got it running on 2.3.3 but will have to read through my ps thread in above post.

Too bad the actual Xperia PLAY doesn't have a working HDMI port.
That said, is there an official way to use a SIXAXIS/DualShock 3 or do I have to do it the hackish way that any Android device with Bluetooth can do?

that is not the play.

I am working on a semi official way as tablet s has it officially. Am trying to port it but will be useless on play. But on arc hope to get it fully working including pairing controllers with otg. We do how ever think in Sony's scheme they will be making ps3 pads compatable officially with any PlayStation certified device to promote sales of both pads and games but that's in the future.

Why would it be useless on the PLAY? I've already had some coworkers who wanted to play some 2p games on my phone. Yes, we'd both have to use BT controllers because it would be on the dock stand.

I got it two days ago. Seriously it isn't impressive for me. My Google documents and drive seem to be collaborated. I believe mediafire is the best.
True , I found Google drive much better for uploading personal pictures and other multimedia stuff. For small files I thing drive is more convenient.
Plus , the current Google app for drive doesn't allow to change privacy settings as of now.
I am still not used to the sharing mechanism.
Like in mediafire , when you make a file public , you can Google it and you can have a direct download link.
Till now , I made some of my files public , tried googling them , but couldn't find them. Plus I found no direct download link. Maybe drive is not meant to be used the way I am using it.
I still prefer other websites like mediafire as of today for public sharing.

ahm...just went on box.com and they don't offer anymore the 50gb free storage, you like have to pay around 20 bucks a month for the 50gb option...you only get the usual 5gb for free.

The promo they had was probably to get customers/user.
I like dropbox and i think drive is gonna be something like it, and will seamlessly blend with the whole android experience, being made by google. It's just at the start. I think it has potential, and we just have to wait.
I can live with 5gb as long as it offers functionality and comfort in use. See Apple's cloud services, dropbox, microsoft's etc...they pretty much all offer around the same amount of free storage, no?
One more thing. The only reason why i use only dropbox for the time being is that it integratest perfectly with my computer and my phone. I just hope that drive will be just the same...

Jolla Phone and Google Play Store

I followed instructions on how to install Google Play Store on Sailfish OS (http://jollafin.blogspot.co.at/2013/11/play-store-for-jolla.html). It works great with most of apps but one problem that I'm experiencing is that I can't redownload my purchases. I can view them but they show up in the store as never purchased and when I try to buy and install them I get an error message.
Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

While the OS is still in beta, and fist update came yesterday, i'm very happy Jolla user. My old nexus 7 is getting dust, while Jolla has come my primary device. There is still some problems that annoys very much, like i personally cant get exchange sync to sync my contacts, while everything else works.
UI is intuitive with very good response. Camera is not so good, but this probably will improve with software, as were the case with N9. Android software "works" mostly good, but when you install enough android software, some applications comes very unstable, or wont start at all (like angry birds..)
As former N9 user, i dont anymore feel the need to go back. This is far better than N9, but navigation is not near "Nokia experience", actually its crappy at the moment.

^There is a software update released yesterday with some bug fixes. Have you updated yet?

I have only played angry birds, and it works as good as any other device. Gesture based UI has its own challenges when gaming You can easily swipe the whole game off several times and thatsquite annoying...
