Wifi Stuck on "Turning off..."

Hello,
I am using MDJ Froyo Sense 2.3 on S2 Kernel (with zImage and both modules), and my wifi keeps turning itself off after it has been left on for an unspecified period, maybe about a couple hours. The problem is that the turning off process can never be completed and the wifi status just says "turning off..." in grey, and all I can do is to reboot the phone. The wifi control shortcut is unresponding and displayed in grey.
I don't think this is a kernel issue because I tried MDJ#15, S1, S2, and R2 and the results are the same. I was also able to reproduce the issue with or without Juice Defender + Ultimate Juice on easy or advanced mode. Setting the wifi sleep policy to "never" did not help either.
Changing the windows mobile registry entries regarding enabling power management for AsyncMac1, PPTP1, L2TP1 as well as SD and SD High Capacity made no difference either.
The interesting thing is that I notice this problem only when the phone is NOT charging. If I keep the phone on the charger it's fine for hours with wifi on.
I'm hoping to have Juice Defender activating and deactivating my wifi regularly for syncing to email and other services with my phone screen off but this problem is essentially crippling wifi. Any ideas why this keep happening?
Thank you.
Oh and I'm using Energy Rom Nov 2 build on a TMOUS HD2 with 2.15 radio.
EDIT: I found that rebooting usually freezes the phone during both cold and hot reboots. Does any has a similar situation going on?

Found Small Problem After 3.2 Update

I always have had my tab set to turn off wifi when screen goes off,
and it has performed flawlessly.
Now - after the 3.2 update - When the screen goes blank,
the wifi does not turn off and it stays connected.
Does anyone else have this problem ? is there a fix ?
My issue is the tablet is set to turn wifi off when screen turns off.
Always worked perfectly.
Now after 3.2 when you wake it the wifi does not turn on, says out of range.
You have to click wifi on/off to reconnect.
Fix one thing and break another.
Stock tablet.
confirmed.
My tab is also set to turn off wifi when screen is off.
Same deal, it does not reconnect. Sometimes it does reconnect but he status bar says no internet connection.
Had the same problem after updating to KMM and now again with the new KMM (KMN).
But since wifi standby consumes almost no battery, I just leave wifi on "always on" (network notification switched off). It's only a workaround but with no real drawbacks.
I'm on Task 6.1 rom and its all good no wifi issues.
Question? How do u know if it turns off or not.
network scan
Same problem here.
After I turn on my tab, it does not reconnect immediately. Have to wait 1-2 minutes, then it reconnected.
Faster is to manually turn wifi off and on again.
Sent from my HTC Desire using Tapatalk
Same here. Just upgraded the other day, have to leave wifi on or manually switch it off and on. Nice update samsung
Yep. Same issue here. I'm thinking of leaving wifi on all the time and checking the difference in battery life.
3.2 has had issues with wifi since day one. Use one of the custom rom, I use Task 6.1 and the problem went away. You can always revert to 3.1

[Q] CM10 bad battery life - wl1271_wake issue

Nook Color
CM10 nightly
Installed CM10 on the Nook Color from CM's nightlies page. Installed to SD card. Battery drops by 25% a day, without even turning it on during that period. BetterBatteryStats says the culprit is the wl1271_wake kernel wakelock, using14-18 hours of CPU time (300Mhz) over a 24 hour period. BT is off, but Wifi is on. It sits a couple feet from the router with an excellent signal.
The device otherwise works relatively well. Wifi always works when coming out of sleep, no SOD yet. Generally responsive UI, though it does hang sometimes. Have reset it a few times since the initial install, just to make sure everything's settled in.
Any thoughts?

[Q] Cell signal shuts off when i start using my phone

Hi all, I have a strange issue with my N4.
When I switch the screen on and start playing with the phone the cell signal completely shuts off after a few seconds, if I stop using it it will come back on. The other radios continue to work fine.
The battery in my phone is terrible and only lasts a few hours, would it be possible that it is the issue? Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
I've been running standard CM11 M releases and have only recently started having this issue.

Bluetooth problem on mi a1

Hi all.
I m on latest official android 8.0 with January security update after January update my Bluetooth option get automatically on.too much battery drain takes place.
Any one facing same issue.????
Waiting for solution.
Thanks in advance.
No, works perfect, not much drain.
I have big battery drain as well when Bluetooth is activated at all times. When I turn it off manually the battery consumption is back at normal. I didn't have the problem with the first oreo update which had December's security update.
Recently I am facing the same (or similar) issue.
Whenever I unlock the screen - the blutooth icon is ON and goes off after maximum of 1 - 1,5s (sometimes it is faster, a blink of an eye)
How can I identify the app/process turning it in? My battery consumption was very satisfactory up till now - now it is drained much faster
Same problem with me. My bluetooth get turned ON automatically. I have to manually switch it off. However, it again turns ON after 5 mins. I play mobile legends and the game works damn slow when the bluetooth turns ON. I need to get this problem fixed ASAP so that I can play my game with out interruption!
