what other psxperia apps? they only have 1 and thats the playstation pocket currently
If you mean other games to use as the base APK to make the file, the answer is that out never worked with them.
out never worked with them?
and i mean the games because the emulator is in the games not psxperia

Since some games like Nova and Modern combat: Sandstorm don't work on our phones, even with the update, if we show enough interest, then they might update them to run on our phones.
Please post here, if you want this to happen.
(You have to set up an account first though...)

Or, if anyone knows any people we could contact, please list their details here.
P.S. Sorry if this should have been posted in the Themes and Apps section; I wasn't sure whether to put it there, since this isn't really about a theme or app you can obtain.
Anyway, thanks for reading this.
Asphalt, Fifa 10 aint working for me either

Asphalt5, Dungeon Hunter, Hero of Sparta, Lets Golf, Avatar, Tom Clancys HAWX are working, Nova, Assassins Creed didnt work for me
Sandstorm works. It just that its almost unplayable because of the lack of MT (Can't walk and aim at the same time)
Asphalt 5 works.

I also want to see Nova. But, its a game made for multi-touch. Not sure how playable it will be on the X10.

Yeah, it works for me too.
Allready worked on Android 1.6, now even better.
I think they'll work very crappy because we don't have multitouch and it's a must for good gameplay in some of their games.
The better opetion would be to have them allow mapping of hardware buttons to try and use outside MT!
Dungeon hunter only kind of works. You cannot switch the controls to the control stick which is infinitely better than point and tap

Any chance you can sideload games to your sony xperia play? Not just android games, but the ones in that playstation store?
Sorry if this sounds stupid but what is sideloading games?
Sent from my R800i using Tapatalk
Installing via sd card with the setup file I belive
Sent from my R800i using XDA Premium App
haha, for example if you have an android app on your computer and want to put it on your phone, you can do what is called sideloading with applications such as droid explorer to install it on your phone. (There are many other ways to sideload)
can you explain a bit more? install on your sd from your computer then pop it into your phone?
Get the .apk and install it from the phone, if that's what you're taking about.

Sideloading; installing apps not from the market...
Sent from my HTC Desire HD using XDA Premium App
Just copy the .apk to your sd card, and use a file explorer, tap on the apk and the installer will pop up

Here you have an example of a quite nice game to sideload: http://www.wormux.org/phpboost/download/download.php
I should have phrased my question better; are the playstation games such as fifa 10 .apk files as well?

well in my experience alot of the games u get a small apk file 5-10mb
the u have to download the games data after u install the game
which can be up to 1200mb is the biggest ive had to do so far.
So the original question should've gone something like this... "Can I illegally download games and install them on my Xperia Play. "
If you are talking about Playstation 1 games then yes, via PSX emulator. If you are talking about PSP and PSN games then no. Sony may port them in the future. Which I hope they port GOW.

Yes, they are. In case you wipe the games' data they'll download it again next time you fire up the app.

well the best PS1 emulator is on the market and its called FPSE. it plays most games flawlessly and is worth the cost.
All the other good emulators are not on the market, you get them from slideme
linky: https://slideme.org/user/yongzh
every emulator runs great on the xperia play. n64oid is probably the toughest to emulate but even really heavy games like orcarina of time run relatively well with only minor sound issues.

Emulator is probably your best bet. It should be a lightweight game so anything from SNES, GBA, and possibly PS1 should run perfectly.
Did you try Krakoid game already?
Hey, I'm looking for the best emulator to run the legend of zelda but don't want a hog of a program. I know emulators can be pretty large and inefficient so I'm wondering if anyone knows of a good light one
Sent from my VS980 4G using xda app-developers app
I think you posted this in the wrong area, wouldn't this be general Android apps? This isn't specific to the G2.
That being said, I'll still answer the question.
I don't know about 'light' emulators, per se, but you do find different qualities of apps. Mainly because some are mere ports and some are good, ARM-based apps. "Legend of Zelda" doesn't tell me what system you want to run...
If you visit the Coolrom page on your phone for the version of Zelda you want, the recommended emulator that they post for whatever system you're looking at is good. Off the top of my head, that'd be:
-DraStic (DS Emulator)
-SuperGNES (SNES)
-Super N64 (Nintendo 64)
Good luck!
you want the emulator for PC or Android???
I personally use n64oid v2.7 i play both the legend of zelda ocarina of time and the legend of zelda majoras mask without any glitches or laggs.
