yes use Ninjamorpf ( free on the market) and change the files in the systemui.apk or use the apkmanager

There are a few other ways.
You can use UOT Kitchen and select what signal icon you want to use from there.
You can pull your framework-res.apk and change you the current .png that has the H with an icon that has the 4g (.pngs are located in framework-res.apk\res\drawable-hdpi) then push the framework-res.apk back on your phone (if you would like to do this method and need help you can PM me and i can walk you through it)
or
You can flash a theme for this rom that already has the 4g if you can find one (SHADE might but i dont remember)

- i bought an used P500 , in the left corner of the phone @notification bar it had the operator logo, ORANGE.. i flash'ed the phone with custom ROM, i was wondering what was that ?? how can i add the operator/carrier logo ??
LE: something like this (i could only find a vodafone logo) Iphone Operator LOGO
- on my p500 it was the first icon on the status bar. it locked nice the orange square logo.

Is the phone a locked one? Or did you buy it unlocked? AFAIK the locked ones would have some apps/modifications according to the Operator and if you had flashed a custom ROM that would have vanished.
Not sure whether this is the root cause, but I think it is.
- the phone was original from VODAFONE , it was unlock'ed and it had it's software update'ed to original 2.3.3.
- it had alot of app's installed on it , i diden' boughter with it i simply downgraded the phone to froyo 2.2.2 and installed mik'os CM7
- i think that was a mod, or an app.

If u smart enuff, get back to voda 2.3.3 thn get a root explorer, find the app wich includes the sb, but i only knw is framework-res.apk or Systemui.apk

I think you can follow this. But it may mess up your status bar and its icons if it doesn't sync with your ROM. Have a try. And don't forget to take a NAND backup so that you can always get back to your old state.
Title says it all, I want to change the H to 4G in my status bar, is this possible?
I'm running stock MIUI 1.9.16.
You need to edit the image file on the system folder then replace it with 4g image. if you don't know exactly what you doing, I would not recommend it
Why complicate things? I like the H it's sexy.

Yea its not that hard if you do it on a theme bases, just unzip the mtz find system ui and place the4g icons there, been a while since I did it, I think its right. Search the site I saw someone explaining it a lot better.

I just want to remove the shadow from stock mytouch 4g rom icons. Anyone who knows the exact file where i can modify these icons or any expert suggestion is highly appreciated.
you can't really do any changes to the stock MT4G ROM until you root.. :/

i know i am using stock rooted rom i just want the expert opinion to know ho to remove these icon's shadow. Shoud i have to make new icons or something in amy file?
you can use the androidian theme from the market or a different launcher.

I think every other custom ROM has this feature (Im not sure about stock). Just dial *#*#4636#*#* and first set the other SIM to GSM only mode and then set the required SIM to WCDMA preferred or WCDMA only mode.

I have CM12.1 and I can't use 3G/4G on SIM2. The SIM2 will just stick to 2G only no matter what network type I've chosen in *#*#4636#*#* menu.

try cm12.1 by ed300 update 10 with stock kernel. no need for service menu setting. both able to 3G. don't know if 4G supported.
