Hello Sir, I Am Using SuperOne Click 2.3.
First I Enable USB Debugging.
Then I Connect My Phone To Computer.
Then I Open Superclick One Then Click Root.
Then I Install Drivers.
Then Kill Server.
Then Starting ADB Server.
Now I Am Stuck On This. SuperClick One Stop Responding. Please Help Me Out. I Wait For More Than 30 Mins Per Nothing Happen..
Hi
I had the same problem.
The solution, for me, was to follow closely that_guy's advice about rooting the new Gingerbread firmware:
1) Dial: *#*#2846579#*#*
2) Go to projectmenu > background settings > log settings > log switch > set Log on
3) Reboot Phone
4) Switch USB Debugging ON
5) Download SuperOneClick v2.3.3
6) Plug your U8800 into your computer but DO NOT mount SD Card.
7) Run SuperOneClick and press the ROOT Button, and let it do its thing (say yes to install drivers if asked).
8) Your phone should now be Rooted.
9) You can now go back and turn logging off if you want.
I have highlighted the steps in bold that you did not say you had completed.
You need to follow each step.
I hope you are successful
I did everything you said but still same problem. I am using windows7 32 bit.

Try also the following:
1. Log onto an Administrator's account and try from this account.
2. Try to use a different USB port
3. With the phone connected, go into device manager, remove the phones drivers from Windows 7. Re scan and reinstall the drivers.

works every time for me just need the adb drivers and SDK to be installed
You did not state any other steps you took before trying to root. Try this all again and don't forget the parts I have put in Bold:
1) Untick Fastboot under applications
2) Tick USB Debugging and Mock Locations under development (or similar)
3) Dial: *#*#2846579#*#*
4) Go to projectmenu > background settings > log settings > log switch > set Log on
5) Download SuperOneClick v2.3.3 Official Link
6) Plug your U8800 into your computer but DO NOT mount SD Card.
7) Run SuperOneClick and press the ROOT Button, and let it do its thing (say yes to install drivers if asked).
8) Your phone should now be Rooted.

Turn on USB Debugging.
Settings -> Applications -> Development -> USB Debugging
Worked for me
First, make sure you are using the pull down menu on your phone to select mount sd card. If that isn't the problem then you probably need to download and install the drivers from samsung on your computer. There is a link I'm sure you can find in the xda forums with a step by step directions for this exact problem.

Phone: Samsung Vibrant
PC: Windows 7 64-bit
Latest drivers from xda installed for phone.
I've tried for over 2 hours now and rooting does not work for me.
It will not push the update.zip to my phone and my phone does not restart.
I have followed the instructions in the Rooting forum to a T.
I've turned on USB Debugging. I plug my USB cable in. My drives show up in Windows Explorer. I then run the T-Mobile Vibrant One-Click Root application in admin mode.
I click on One-Click Root and the shell runs. It says my phone should be rebooting but nothing happens on my phone. Nothing gets copied and the phone does not reboot.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I looked in the rooting thread more and people have been posting about ADB. I've checked this in my Device Manager and I have "ADB Interface" listed there with no ! on it. It says it's working properly.
Are you mounting the USB??? To get adb or other apps to work you can not have the USB connecte mounted. You said you can see it in windows explorer so I am assuming that you mounted the USB.
The mounting is happening automatically. I plug in my USB and it mounts and turned on USB Debugging. Not sure why it's doing it automatically as it never has in the past.
I'm not sure what you mean by "you can not have the USB connected"
If I can't have the USB connected then how do I do this?

You cannot have the drives mounted , if they show up in windows , adb will not work ..
Did you happen to install the winamp beta for android? , it mounts the drives.

Yes... I did.
So I uninstalled Winamp Beta. Removed the USB. Plugged it back in. This time the drives did not mount.
I tried to run the One-Click again and nothing happened.
Can anyone help? I'd really like to be able to root my phone.
Why don't you just download the. Zip file, rename to update.zip, move it to the root of your internal sdcard, reboot into recovery, then reinstall packages.
I'm not sure why you're using a PC to root.

If you search for 'root your Vibrant ' you will get step by step instructions on how to root without using a PC. That method has worked for me numerous times.

Select Reinstall Packages
Reboot
Your Now Rooted. Now Dance
Dude,
This is what I follwed and it worked 100% for me:
1. Download update.zip file on PC
2. On your Vibrant, go to Settings > Applications > USB Settings > and select Mass Storage.
3. Connect your Vibrant to your computer, and mount as a mass storage device by pulling down the notification bar at the top of the screen.
4. Back on your computer, look for a new drive. We’re looking for the Internal Storage, not the External, so make sure you open the drive that does NOT have the Avatar movie in it.
5. Copy (drag and drop) the update.zip file to the Internal Storage.
6. Turn off the phone.
7. Hold down the volume up and down buttons while turning the Vibrant on, which will bring you to the recovery mode.
8. To navigate in Recovery, use volume up and down to move, and Power button to select. Select ‘Reinstall Packages“
9. After installed, your phone will reboot, and will have the Superuser app, as well as Busybox installed.
10. You’re Rooted!
Nikhil
Worked great until Step #7.
I tried turning the phone on holding down both the volume up and volume down buttons but no recovery console.
Disregard my previous. I got into the recovery console and I followed the instructions.
Things seem to be working. I have the Superuser app but not the Busybox one.
i need help with this as well. i just downgraded my brother's vibrant to 2.1 update1 so that i can root cuz i couldnt get it to work with 2.2. and now when i do the update.zip file it doesnt seem to work. i get a superuser app but i dont have root. idk what is going on. i have tried everything from one click root to manual rooting. whenever i go to the main recovery and hit reinstall packages the yellow bar doesnt go all the way before it says it's finished and reboots. could this be an issue? please help..
Hello. I received the phone today. I had a rooted desire HD before this.
My windows 7 is newly installed so I had to install 32bit/64bit java SDK, and android SDK. I downloaded the usb drivers, the platform tool package and so on.
The problem is that, although the USB debugging is turned on on the G.Note, windows won't recognize it as a ADB Android Phone. Under 'devices' I can see:
- CDC Serial
- SAMSUNG_Android
Both with a "!" : needing drivers.
ADB is correctly installed, and if I type 'adb devices' in the prompt, no serial number of any device is displayed. If I try to start the root procedure (through the .bat file), WAITING FOR DEVICE : it just doesn't find the phone and nothing starts.
I tried searching manually for the driver: device - properties - SAMSUNG_Android - find driver manually - extra\google\usb-driver ...... but it doesn't install it !
I didn't have these problems with the desire HD....as long as the phone is not recognized as a Android Phone (without "!")....I can't start the root procedure !!
What am I doing wrong ??
Oh and also:
- tried changing USB port
- rebooted both systems
- uninstalled the 'SAMSUNG_android' device, then plugged it in again....same thing, not recognized as Android Phone
have you tried to install Kies?
i think i am stupid...that's the equivalent of htc sync right? i'll try again and hope that it will make the difference.
yeah, it should install the
right drivers. after that, be sure kies is closed properly in order to use odin.

Rooting:
Requirements:
Make sure you have enabled USB Debugging
You have any File manager in your phone
1.Download both these files (copy them in your URL) :
mediafire.com/?b2bs6g5qbu5bff6
mediafire.com/?c2a8vobin5w951a
2.Connect your device to PC via USB cable. Make sure you are on ''LG Software'' or ''Media sync'' USB connection mode.
3.Transfer file ''IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk'' to your phone.
4.Now,using your file manager, install ''IS11LG_SystemBackupTest.signed.apk'' into your mobile.
5.Make sure you are NOT connected to PC now.
6.Open the app ''SystemBackupTest''.
7.You will see a message ''Hello world!'' on your phones screen. Don't close the app.
8.Now,reboot your phone. ! Make sure you reboot your phone while app is on.
9.When phone is rebooted, extract zip file ''My Root Package''.
10. Connect your phone to PC again. Change connection mode to charge only mode.
11. Open the extracted folder ''My Root Package''. Now,run ''root.bat'' if you are using Windows,root-linux.sh if you are using Linux,root-mac.sh if you are using Mac.
12.Once you open your root file, don't touch your phone or computer. Wait for it to complete. After process, your root file will closes automically and you see your device rebooting.
13. If you can find ''SuperSU'' app on your phone after this, contragulations. Your L5 is now succesfully rooted.
I've been up and down the forums for two days trying every method and app and whatever else is recommended.
asus zenfone 2 laser
Z00TD (ZE551KL)
-i cannot unlock bootloader (Asus unlock tool does not work for any variant)
- cannot root with any one click app (assuming because bootloader is locked)
- cannot manually install drivers via any instructional method online. (They all seem to be 64 bit when I have a 32 bit machine) and there is no actual exe file to install anywhere that i can locate.
- cannot use windroid as it requires twrp (basically root) ....useless.
-cannot adb command unlock or root, does not recognize device (assuming because proper drivers are not installed)
I'm on the updated software version 1.16.40.763-20151201
Someone please give me a hint or some lead as to what I'm missing or where I'm going wrong.
Thanks in advance.

I must be doing something wrong. Because I've done all of that. And the drivers don't install properly. I can get into fast boot and that's where it stops for me. The bootloader 20007.img code keeps failing.
I don't know. Something isn't right. I can't even unlock it with the Asus unlock tool. I've tried every one for every variant.

this might sound stupid, but try a different, better, usb cable.
I had a similar issue years ago, trying to flash my first android phone, windows would also give me device manager error. i beat my head on the wall for two days using the motorola supplied data cable, until on a whim i tried a different USB cable and everything worked.
