i got nova working and i want to buy it but i want to make sure if i switch builds il be able to redownload without issues since its not from the marketplace.

im not buying it through marketplace though. it doesnt show up for me.
i did the trial text download from gameloft. if i buy it through the demo it should still show up in downloads?

no if you did it that way was there a download .apk file they sent you in your downloads folder

That's kind of hit or miss my friend. Gameloft is notorious for coding their games for a one time install and any following requires another purchase. You may have gotten lucky and gotten an unlocked .apk. They sent me Ferrari GT through a text link and it's the actual unlocked game but others have had one time install issues so you won't know until you try.

The only - is the low res screen and bad cpu.
But there is great custom ROMS and nice overclock kernels, and soon the CyanogenMod 6.0 will be released for the Wildfire.

If I recall correctly the UAE version has no android market.
Can i install Windows Live Messenger in it ?
I think its possible to get the market installed, correct me if I'm wrong... And if so, yes, you can have msn on it.

Problems: Not really that much, only that not all games can run on the phone, and some can but run very slowly.

I think you'll have to root the phone to manage to get the market on, if there's no market on the phone when you buy it. Its very easy to do, just download UnRevoked, plug in you phone and the program will pretty much do everything else. Then I recommend you installing a custom ROM, like openFire or Wildpuzzle ROM, and soon we will have CynaogenMod for Wildfire, which will make your phone alot faster.
I found 3 or 4 apps in the market that are MSN/ Live messengers. I personally use the Trillian app, than is a universal messenger app. It world on yahoo,MSN,gmail, even Skype networks.

With the new openfire ROM I'd reccomend rooting and installing it, 5MFLOPS is almost twice stock speed.

Yes, i can download demos in Brasil, but i need to create an account in US to can reach the acess to the content, but is impossible now to buy apps or games, with my Brazillian credit card, i´m one of the first to buy the windows phone 7 here, is a amazing phone, but now i just can use to download demos and free aps, today is the first day of XBOX live in Brazil, i try to create an Brazilian account but everithing is locked to my area ,now i just need to wait the launch of Zune Brazil to use the power of this amazing toy.... sad...

Hey, i've got one myself and I'm brazilian as well.... so far nothings pt-br coming up but try the development and hacking threads .... some app to deploy free software is available .... at least some games and free apps are already some new stuff in it .... as for hint krashlander (free game) is really something .... tryed information from manufacturer and their CIC told it is intended to be launched here around april, so it will also be some months only .....
ye i am portuguese and i have the same problem , i wish i was american or english , damn country the last in everything.
I am running 2.3.7 with the latest Typhoon Rom and there is a limited time $.10 apps advertised in the market. 9 of the 10 apps show on the device but this app is on market.android.com but I purchased it yet it would not allow me to send it to my device... actually no apps will allow me to send to my device (likely because the HD2 isn't listed as a supported phone on their site.)

I was able to install all these 10cent apps except Asphalt and Swiftkey. So you are not alone with this issue. Maybe our HD2 is really incompatible (graphic chip) ..

My phone appears as HTC HD2 in android market. Running 2.3.5 CM7 Typhoon rom. Can the phone appear as a Desire HD, or something else?

I've seen on Youtube that Asphalt 6 is plays pretty well on the HD2... I want to buy it but I can't see it in the market either.
I'm pretty sure that there is a way to change the identity, I think I recall people talking about it in the past when they had market issues with all the apps not being visible. I'd love if someone had a solution for this problem!

Install 4share from the market, in the 4share app type "asphalt 6 apk" download, (not all download links work so don't get upset if you don't score out of your first try) enjoy.
Furthermore, there WAS a market compatibility fix for the SD android version. I'm not sure if the workaround works for NAND as well. But try to search for it.
