[Q] Korean Galaxy Tab has no games in market!

I've had my Tab for 3 days now and the market place just comes up blank in the games section. No listing for any games at all. SlideMarket has some games, and all the games I have came from there, but even those seem to be limited.
Has anyone heard anything about a limitation on the games?

Root your phone, install MarketEnabler or MarketAccess, set it to another country, enjoy.
This is what i do to access paid apps (they are not available in my country).

No offense Beerkan, but he talks about Android Market, not Samsung apps, and considering Samsung apps has next to nothing in it, it's not even worth the work.

Only problem now is that I don't think I have an IMEI !
I looked on the back of the unit, and there is a serial number, on the box and the serial number, dialed the numbers for the IMEI and get a not valid number. Also checked the phone info and etc. Nothing.
The phone system here is different, so maybe there is no such thing as an IMEI here?
I had heard somewhere earlier this summer that the games for the iPhone were being restricted some because of the rating issue, but I thought that the Tab would at least have some since the Galaxy S has been out so long. Oh well! I'll just have to wait some.

Android has same restrictions, it's a legal problem. All you need to do is root (use z4root), then install MarketAccess, use MarketAccess to fake your "location" (in other words, it will say to Market that you are for example using a USA or German SIM card), so it will show you a market for another country. And other countries have the games.

Well, I kinda solved this problem, lol!
My friend gave me a 16gb micro sd card with 4 gig of apps he downloaded from somewhere. some of them work, and some don't.
So I'm a happy camper now!!

i bought asphalt 6 for 0.10$ and 1$ got deducted from my account
and it is showing that the payment was rejected and i didn't even got my app !!
What should i do ?
P.S. First Purchase !!
Update : I applied for refund through android market and does it take to refund it BTW ?
and when purchasing,it didn't ask for my 3D Secure Code(Mastercard).

If u have x10 then it doesn't support asphalt 6
No idea about the rejected payment

Well i figured it out,as it was my first transaction,google automatically deducts 1$ for adding my debit card to google wallet !! dunno if it returns it back too
I was trying to re-add my card to google wallet and then i found out about it !!

I noticed this yesterday, got a few bargains, ill probably get some more when there's new ones for 10p.
I checked on my sister's sg2 and there was a racing game she could could get for 10p that wasn't compatible with our X10, shame but these are still great offers.

Get asphalt 6 for her phone

Thats the racing game i was on about, couldn't remember the name of it. I was going to get it on her phone but she hasn't set up her payment details properly and it was light so i just left it to the next day, i didn't know that the apps for 10p changed daily then so ive missed out.
I got GLWG for 10p which is good fun, im just stocking up on good 10p games even if they wont work well on our x10 ready to play on whenever i get a new phone or tablet.

trouble downloading from market
hope someone can help me on this.
been trying to download some of the featured discounted apps but it keeps saying "error occured. please try again." i also tried on other regular paid apps (outside the discounted section) and i still get the same error. free apps i can download no problem.
i thought it has something to do with where i am (Philippines) but when i try to do it via pc browser, the paid apps get pushed to my device with no problems.
any of you have any thoughts on this?

How to get the US Play Store

Hello everybody, first post here but been a lurker here for the past few weeks with my new s3.
Ever since I moved overseas from the US their has been many limitations of the web, the play store in my country, i dont mean to be mean, is complete $%#@, most of the s3 owners are perverts, the most downloaded app is something about Naked Ladies. Anyway, I have a rooted phone and I really don't want to use any kind of VPN, their slow, unreilable, and make me put on a passcode which I don't want.
If their is any tweak or hack to get the US playstore that would be wonderful to share, plus I have a US credit card and make sure my phone doesn't use my location services.

Play store should use localization from the firmware, me thinks. Also, checks build.prop.
If you got a international SGS3 one easy solution would be to flash a European (UK could be best for you) firmware and CSC, then setting localisation to UK. Or, you can flash a AOSP firmware which should be location "free" (except for localisation in settings for UI/Keyboard etc). The AOSP/AOKP builds around are still not 100% perfect though, if you care about such things.

Google for market enabler...
it might give you the apps available in the US but not the services like books, music, movies...

And what if you already have a custom rom?

I used Market enabler but used a VPN to get free scrabble from US play store but uninstalled them after that, but can still see scrabble in account

Market enabler is the way to go. The play store region is determined by a combination of carrier & country code from your SIM + geo-IP.

I'm in China and I have the same problem. Market enabler allows you to SEE the apps from another country but you still can't buy them. So it's a little bit anoying. If you go on Google play from a computer you can see all the apps.

I've bought apps fine with the market enabler.

Going Russian

So i have my nexus 7 and it runs fine... got a rom on it.. no problems at all..
but i just bought a second one that i plan on giving to family in russia when i go visit them next week...
being a US user, i have never had any issues using the device but i am wondering how i can make it fully compatible for use in Russia...
the obvious answer is to choose russian as the language during setup but thats not enough... half the things are still written in english and all music shown is american...
what can i do to make it better capable for use in russia?

I know CyanogenMod has great translation support built into the rom and constantly updated.

im afraid of putting on a custom rom as they are not "technologically concious" and wont be able to figure out how to update when google brings out klp or another version of android

[Q] SAMSUNG update erased the Movies I bought

Hi guys
I bought my note 3 in France since I am based over there, and bought some movies on the Samsung store.
I am currently travelling to Africa and replaced my SIM card from France with a local one for the time being. Everything was working fine till 2 days ago when Samsung made a 117MB update available on the Note 3.
Installation went smoothly, but after the reboot, no trace of the movies that I bought from their site!!! All gone!
And now the system is saying that their store is not available from the country I am currenty in.
Are the movies you are buying not stored on your device? It looks like that SAMSUNG has it owns interpretation of laws...
So now I still have 3 weeks to go without a movie! Too bad...:crying:

i have had this happen with books i bought in the uk going when i was in the states ......bought them again as we were over there for 6 months and when i got home they went but i could get my english ones back .....this was thru the play store tho .....but wonder if its similar problem
just a thought ...since our business takes us from europe for long periods my son, wife and i all use a vpn to stop problems with books / magazines / movies happening again (its also useful for keeping up with tv from our other countries as well) perhaps you may want to try if you travel a lot

Worth a try but I am very concern about the legal aspect of that issue with SAMSUNG being able to erase something that you paid for ans such became your own property!

The videos are saved in the file manger tick to show hidden files than check the folders for samsungvideohub. All the videos are saved there

Thanks Man, you are great! I thought about that but was looking for standard video extension (e.g. avi, mkv, flv...) but those are PYV files...
