Hi folks.
I have a question. Where on android files tree is saved my user name and password of my Netflix account ?
Thank u for your help and advice
From my best knowledge the passwords themselves are saved within the apps own data. Some apps that open a browser or linked to browser save them in the browsers saved passwords. If you have backup services set on google services they are backed up on goggle servers. This makes del and re-install of a app From android market often can put the password back.
To have most apps to forget your password. you can go to settings/apps find the app . long hold it. It will open its settings. YOU CAN Clear app data there. Some apps have this in settings. Netflix app has no settings.
If having the password deleted is what you desire try the above if it does not work let me know back here and I well/ we will help you find a solution to your issue . Just post back exactly what your looking for..
GOOD Luck. Erica Renee.

hi i just installed cyanogenmod rom on my phone and i login my gmail account...cuz my internet wasnt working at the time.. is there a way i can go back and login my gmail account or do i have to reinstall everything.... thanks
what? i couldnt understand any of that. did you log in or not? if you didnt, just open up gmail and it will prompt you to log in...
with cyanogenmod rom when ever i click on gmail... it just closes right away... i go into setting and try to go to data sync and it wont let me... doesn't do anything...
go to settings>data synchronization
ive tried that it doesn't let me do anything... it doesn't open anything... but in dev tools app there is a google login service...
i knwo there is a way to do it it said so on the page that you skipped that you can do it later but i dont know exactly what it is that you need to do. If all else fails you can always just wipe
oh wait go to your apps drawer and open up Gmail and see what happens
Try this :
Go to settings/applications/manage applications, find "Google apps", delete its data and then reload the Market app (or any Google app that uses your account). It should ask you for your login details again.
Hope this helps
Hello guys
I've been trying few builds of android and install apps from the market.
When switching to a new build, I link my phone with a googlemail account so all the contacts are restored.
Unfortunately also ALL the apps are sync, downloded and installed aswell from the market, without asking me anything. I do not want this to happen.
This happen everytime, no matter whichever build I was using.
Searched first in google, then in xda but didn't find anything. Does it happen only to me? xD
has anyone got a solution?
thx
I don't know how to get rid of this problem, but it's normal, so you're not the only one. The apps you have downloaded in the market are safed in your google account, because some people have purchased apps and don't want to buy them again..
ok
fair enough then.. cheers
Hmm.. Maybe there is a solution. I never tried, but it may work.
After setting up your phone (the first thing you have to do when you boot a new build) go at first to settings > Accounts & synchronization. Sorry dunno how it's spelled in Englisch, using my phone in German There go to your Google Account and remove the ticks at contacts, mail and calendar. Then go to your market and accept the license agreement.
It could be that the market now doesn't install your apps because you don't sync your google account anymore. But if you're using this account for mail and so on this is no option, will see if I find another possibility.
Edit: Found another solution that worked for other users. In a German forum they told you have to skip the setup at the beginning, go directly to settings > SD-Card & Telephone Memory (something like that) and do a factory reset. Then boot again and the market won't install anything. If this doesn't work try to set up your phone at the beginning and do a factory reset then.
That's all I've found. Now I'm out. Tell me if it worked
Cheers

I realised that it only installs the programs that you had installed in the last build.
Therefore all the apps I removed won't sync..
I probably had a bug in my last build that blocked google to complete sync.. damn xD
However my internet is not that fast as I live in the middle of farms & field, so I'm gonna download all the .apk from internet; then I will put them in the folder Android Apps and the new build just install them on the first boot.
But thanks for your research, I may use it later on.. you never know.
Cheers

turn off Google backup, in settings as well as when FIRST setting up Android after hitting the Android on the first screen. One of the few first things is Google Backup, for apps and bookmarks. Disable this.
I flash roms not so often as crack flashers. But when I do, or even if I just have to do a factory reset (say, if I want to change the main google account, mainly to prioritize which gets to use the built-in google Talk), I come across Market link issues with TB Pro.
The account I want the apps linked with is NOT the primary google account. It used to be before but I made a new email and such. So I checked the proper settings in TB, such as always associate apps to selected active profiles, etc. But when I restore it is mixed between the two accounts. Some apps will be linked to one account or even both.
I've tried many things. I used market doctor to no avail. I killed market links, wiped data from Market in both Settings and in TB. I've tried rebooting several times. Now I am just going to uninstall/reinstall to see if it will associate to the selected market account.
Sometimes all the apps will link to the right account. But then later on it will be mixed again, or just show some apps as uninstalled or missing. But when I search for them in Market it shows it as installed.
I hope someone has a definite solution for this. I have searched XDA and checked the TB wiki. Thanks in advance.
Did selecting the account to use in TB preferences> account for android market not work? That is the reason it's there, I'm assuming.

Yeah i checked it to the right account. But sometimes it reverts back to bring mixed.
Right now it's fine. I had to uninstall everything, check the TB settings, and reinstall. I also made sure the account was selected in the Market app.
But after making a backup in recovery, some apps weren't linked. But market doctor fixed it.
Still, i wonder what makes the apps become linked to different accounts afterwards.. Or lose its links.
I just rooted and installed the market, however I setup the wrong account - how do I change the account? Do I need to remove the market or google framework?
...
try clearing the cache and data or logout of gmail if you have setup one, or rerun the wizard which runs when you firstly install gapps. I have done it before but i really don't remember how
keep us posted
change account
You can change your account info from the settings. Go to setting and go to the accounts add the correct account and then remove the account that you no longer need. At that point you may want to clear the cache and data from the market app in your manage applications settings.
settings and accounts from the market? I know most android devices it's under the main settings, but not the fire. I haven't setup gmail yet, I need the account for the whole device.
The easiest way to change accounts is to go to Settings>Applications>Manage Applications>Gmail and clear all data. I also did it for gTalk and all other Google related apps. This created a notification that I needed to redo the setup wizard with a link in the notification to start it. This fixed everything and didn't have to worry about a hard-reset.
Worked on my old Desire

No settings in the market, or in the main settings (like other android devices). So if install gmail, that should let me delete the account? I'm wondering if un-installing google framework might do it?
Got it to reset by uninstalling google framework and the market, then re-installing.

The problem is because u moved to another country. Try to use Market Unlocker and set to ur original country.

Hi! I had this same issue and it was irritating the bejesus out of me. I didn't find a fix but I found a work around to get into the account sync settings: open your stock gallery app, hit your menu key, click settings and bam you're in. I hope it works for you as well!
