I have updated the last one, 1.11 version of aurora ics, and 3g data connection wont work. Service provider is Saunalahti, wich works in Elisa's network. I've enabled data in roaming and still not working. There was another fix for Saunalahti in this version, but I haven't noticed any difference. Please help me fix this 3g issue.
Did you try these commands in local ssh?:
su
setprop persist.opl.enabled 0
setprop persist.pnn.enabled 0
I got 3G working with those commands but if I wanted to boot phone, i had to boot it several times before it connects again, so now i'm back to stock Froyo. Hope that dzo will get his awesome rom working with Saunalahti

And if that also fails, make sure you flashed official gingerbread on your device, I had a similiar issue in Estonian Elisa network. I realized that I had .32 froyo instead of .35 gingerbread. Yet I haven't found any way to root the latest one yet, if you want, I can upload the one I have working.

I have been diligently searching for a thread to pop up along the lines of "GPS FIX" But I can't find any. I just wanna know if there is a definitive fix in the nightlies or not?
Not really. Some people are replacing their gps framework with one from an early nightly with generally working GPS. Other than that it seems different radios etc. Are having varying results.

Bad news here, I am on cm7 nightly 17, still without GPS( It worked only once).
The once worked method, which is replacing gps.vision.so from nightly #4 no longer works.

Yea this is how its been for several nightlies. GPS works on first reboot, but it doesn't work if you turn it off then back on again. I'm on #17 too.

This is the issue I had. I didnt mind replacing the gps.vision.so from Nightly #4 into the new Nightly's but now thats not even working on Nightly #17. It seems the GPS issue is getting progressively worse.
I'm on RC2 and was able to get my GPS working by flashing the latest AUS radio image (12.28h.60.140f_26.06.02.27). Before flashing it I was still on the old version from tmobile (12.21.60.09b_26.02.01.15). After flashing the AUS radio image my GPS started working but I was having problems with the reliability and speed of my data connection, even standing less than 800' from a T-mobile tower I was getting 1.5Mb/s download at best and it would only come in bursts. At that point I flashed the T-mobile image (12.28b.60.140e_26.03.02.26) from the OTA update and my data problems were fixed, started getting a steady connection and 4Mb/s+ download standing in the exact same spot, AND my GPS was still working. I've rebooted my phone several times since then I used the GPS for about 2 hours strait yesterday so it seems to be persistent and stable.
I have found that if I leave my GPS ON before I flash a new nightly or ROM, that it works fine. I have only ran into the GPS issue a few times but that was because I had it off before I flashed a new build. Never messed switching RADIOs or anything.
Here is what I have done to fix issues:
-If I flashed a new CM7 Gingerbread ROM without GPS ON prior to the flash, I usually go back to CM6 and turn GPS ON and then reflash the CM7 ROM and it works.
-Yesterday had a strange issue though, I went to Flash a new CM7 nightly and sure enough I forgot to leave GPS ON. So I went back to CM6 and tried to turn GPS on and it didn't work. So I then Flashed one of the MIUI ROMs and that still didn't work. So then I tried Flashing the newest Nightly from CM again and it worked very wierd.
That has been my experience with this GPS issue. Some how I have managed to fix it myself without too much trouble. Hopefully this helps people with these issues.

This worked for me also. I backed up RC2 with gps on, flashed MIUI, and then restored and blam it worked! thanks, I needed this so badly.
I had this problem for a while as well. Flashing CM7 #3 did the trick for me. I downloaded a copy of xboarder56's stock GB test ROM today and I have to say it works flawlessly! Smooth and fast and with working GPS.

So from the input I gather that nightlies have not yet fixed the problem. Since I don't need the GPS until the summer I guess I can wait a month or two before searching again...
Gps works fine for me.
Sent from my G2 running Cyanogenmod 7.
Fixed the GPS issue on CM7 by upgrading the radio:
Vision_RADIO_12.28e.60.140f_26.04.02.17. It works just fine in the US.
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OKYRIPQW
To flash radio you must have radio s-off using gfree.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=855764
You need to downgrade to the stock kernel or CM 6.1.0 for gfree to work.
I'm not sure what the problem is either, but I decided to leave the GPS/Navigation running over one night. When I woke up, the GPS fixed itself. I haven't had a problem since then.
use these basic steps to try and fix the gps:

But does it work when you turn GPS on/off/on after rebooting? My GPS works fine after flashing a new radio till I turn it off and back on again.

Same Problem here as well..Need some solution badly.. :/
I think you have to restore it to stock rom using seus, re root the phone and install a clean custom ROM. you have to do full wipe, before installing the ROM not after. Hope it helps.

i tried that solution before but it is not working. the only rom it used to work for me is the GingerDX 006. it didn't work in 007, 008, 009, hackdroid, free xperia, kuyadroid and even stock 2.1

As referenced in the thread "[ROM] I9100XWKK5 [23.11.2011][Android 2.3.6]" (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=19927949 pages 2 & 3) there are numerous reports of Wifi stopping working in the following scenario:
- i9100 XWKK5 (Frankenstein or stock) 2.3.6
- Busybox installed
- Wifi AES/EAP network (PSK works ok)
If you are also experiencing Wifi issues please contribute to the discussion with information on your kernel, what occurred prior to getting the wifi issues, or - if you have any suggestions on how to resolve it?
This thread can be closed when the issue is resolved.
And something with phase 2 authentication as well.

The issue exists even without BusyBox.
I have following configuration
Pda = XWKK5
Phone = XXKI4
Csc = OJVKJ3
Wi-Fi Authentication failes for EAP (PEAP)
No other change to kernel.
Previous configuration
Pda = XWKK2
Phone = XXKI4
Csc = OJVKJ3
Regards
Stock KK5 broke wireless on my GS2 as well whereas KK2 works absolutely fine.
I was able to get Wifi working again by reflashing KK5 (as a non-wipe) then flashing Speedmod's kernel to root it with Odin.
Glad i've waited b4 flashing. Guess I'll stick with WKJ3 for now.
i have problem with wi-fi on CRR HD 4 and Criskelo v32, ZyXEL NGB460 (WPA2-PSK)
I have a problem with KK5 stock
Wifi Zyxel NBG460N WPA2-PSK AES
Busybox installed
I can't seem to connect to my 5Ghz network. 2.4ghz works fine. Both are WPA/WAP2 PSK.
Kk5 frankenstien with speedmod 16 kernel and zero wifi issues. Also get the best battery life from this combo than any other kernel-firmware combo I've tried and its a lot.

But did you install busybox?
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
I was the first to report this issue in the other thread and wanted to let you know that using busybox installer from the market instead of the official busybox app worked for me. Also for some others from what I've read. You need to reflash the from first though.
Sent from my GT-I9100 using xda premium
BusyBox installed and it broke here, at least on my home network. It stucks at "Obtaining IP" stage.
Later I realised, it used to work before I installed last thing FROM market, and voila, last thing was Busy Box Installer...
So I reflashed and didnt install busy box installer this time AFTER ROOT.

Hi,
I'm new on the forum for several days now and i've already read a lot wich was really helpfull.
This morning I grabbed all my courage and rooted my sgs2 with cf-root XWKK2 2.3.6 after the KIESupdate without any problems. First I was a bit scary but after reading CHAINFIRE'S tutorials and watch several HOWTO's on you tube, i could'nt resist.
So, my phone is now rooted and have the superuser and wcm icons but I do not find the icon for BUSYBOX wich normally was included in the file ...
I read about this and the app is in the market ... but i read also that there are problems with it.
Now, I have a couple questions:
*is it needed to flash a stock kernel? Because this one is very close to the original, like Chainfire told in his tutorial.
*can i flash custom roms over this, just with Odin?
*but the most important is to find Busybox for deleting the samsung apps.
ps: I do not find the Thanks button
sry for my bad english
thanks a lot already!!!!
ám using DarkKnight 2.3+ on 3.1.1 and V4 rom.
Since switching from speedmod to DK i have seen some strange wifi behavior.
I use in advance the setting off when screen is off and worked well with speedmod and DK.
But since DK 2.3 (i think) my router, Netgear dgn 3500 needs to be reset sometimes.
I will still have a connection, like all my other devices that have a connection with the router, but somehow my router lost his ip address from my isp.
Maybe it's my isp, or just the router acting up, but iám just wondering if any one else has seen this behavior.

You can flash any kernel. I usually flash the new stock kernel, then root with chainfire, then speedmod kernel.
Yes you can flash custom roms over your current one. Usually, they still ask you to do a wipe so it doesn't matter what rom you were using. Also note to follow the dev's instructions, if any.
Use titanium back up to delete stock apps.

yes same here but you will be lucky if u can reconnect sometimes u have to reboot to make it work again !
Still no solution , hope someone finds a way to fix this
I have the same problem after installing with PC ODIN.
I flashed back to HC and back to ICS Hong Kong version and it's still resetting Wifi every 10 secs.
I've now installed Wifi Fixer from Play Store and it is resets it faster and holds the connection longer.
Although it still persists Wifi Fixer seems to improve it to the point where it's bare able.
Get Wi-Fi fixer from Play store. I did, and it works magic!

Update;
Well, Wifi Fixer only seemed to work for a few routers.
The one at home worked well but my router at work just wouldn't hold the connection.
I was about to give up and go back to HC.
I thought I'd give the new Austrian build a chance LQ2.
Since changing I noticed better Wifi signal for starters and no drop off like the Hong Kong version.
They Wifi seems fixed on the LQ2 build, it's working very well so far.

the wifi manager says 'not in range', but in the network details, the signal is excelent.
I tried:
wipe/format cache.
wipe dalvik.
factory reset (wifi works some minutes before drop)
delete dhcp files.
change kernel (franco/faux)
install other roms (stock / paranoid / cm 10)
use wifi fixer.
disable router security.
change router channel..

So it didn't work on any of the ROMs you tried?
Then try flashing the factory images. If it stays the same, then it might be caused by hardware.
WiFi Works on OTHER ROMS !
the problem seems to have happened after the kitkat update of thestock rom. on 4.2.2 and 4.3, i would flash miui v5 3.9 and wifi used to work just fine. after flashing from kitkat stock rom, the issue propped up on ALL miui roms. INCLUDING THE OLD ROM I FLASHED WHICH USED TO WORK FINE.
