Not possible unless boot loader gets cracked.

Xperia X8 custom ROM
I want to add proxy support for Wi Fi on this phone,
after rooting the phone , it is asking for ip tables on my ROM,
one more thing is the boot loader of Xperia X10 cracked ?

Im sure people are working on it, but none has succeeded so far as to my knowledge.

Thanks!! Its great to have alternatives roms =) i dont like so much the Original ROM.

erm.. it's 100% percent possible, almost every1 did it, go to google and search for the roms. u need to install xrecover and root explorer 1st

The best place to start is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1139163

Take look after Ginger 2.3.5, download move to SD card, make sure you have xRecovery installed as well and proceed, but easy for u is to use on YouTube on your computer few movies about install new room ...good luck!

Install the PC Companion, as it also installs all the drivers you need.
And: don´t plug the phone and click root, just click the button without having your X8 connected, then wait until it says "waiting for device" and then plug it.

hey guys...... i jst rooted my x8...... but now to get 2.3.3 u need to install busybox and xrecovery.. but when i try to do so... derez a error sayin... dese files cannot be pasted here because dey r read only..... PLZZZZZ HELP:confused

im looking a way to sign my rom so moders can be found out as there is ton of
floyo and gingerbread copys as my rom is made from nothing and is not a rom
that is ported to the x8 there is no boot loader ie sony ericsson start up and no OC it fully stable and alloud by sony as i work there SO IF SOME1

So if you work for SE, why would you want to put your name in ROM... Why don't you simply sign img file with red signature and post .sin files here for us to flash with FlashTool?

I'm not allowed to it on the work PC and i would loose my job but if u can go 2 Sony shop thay can unlock it 4 u but u Will loose ur warranty that down to u

I work for Sony not Sony Ericsson Sony WILL unlock the Boorloader if u live in Belfast N.IRE "I'LL unload it and take ur info off the phone so ur warranty is dead ur chooses up 2 u

Did u flash any custom Rom before,try to off/on then press back if not use pc companion & follow instructions...

In Sony Ericsson PC companion select Support Zone.Then start Phone Software Update. You can find a blue link repair phone to restore your phone to factory condition.

You know, we got more than just one thread around here describing how you can restore your X8 back to the GENUINE (as in "original") Sony Ericsson 2.1.1 ROM through Flashtool.
Nice you felt like posting, but this topic is already covered by a superior method that doesn't require to have a working ROM with xRecovery installed.
The next time you better use "SEARCH" to see if there are already guides or post about the particular topic you think you want to write.

You dont need to go back to 2.1. Just full wipe your phone?

...Or just use SEUS if you want your phone back to stock version.
