Samsung Galaxy Note GSM Unlocked 16GB - $604.98 shipped - Member-Found Deals

Dailysteals has the Galaxy Note for $599.99, $604.98 shipped!
http://www.dailysteals.com/
I bought the Galaxy Nexus from dailysteals when they had the deal so they are indeed legit. Their customer service sucks but you indeed get your phone eventually. It approximately 13 days for my Galaxy Nexus to shipped to me so expect to wait at least 2 weeks. The people who bit on this deal got it in a week so I would say it varies from 1-2 weeks depending on when you ordered it.

Is this international version or att version?

According to the site, it's the international version.
Condition: New
Packaging: Retail
Warranty: 1 Year International
Brand: Samsung
Model: N7000
Not sure if you'll get warranty since my impression is that international phones don't warranty if they're used out of the country.

great deal if its legit and you want black. I'm pretty sure you do get the warranty because on espansys it says after 15 days you gotta use the manufacturer warranty for the phones

I think that's different because companies like Espansys and Clove carry out the warranty. I believe you ship the phone back to them and they'll do the warranty process for you since it'll be eligible there.
For dailysteals, you'll get lucky to get any sort of reply from them via email. I contacted them about warranty and they said to contact Samsung for it, which I know Samsung won't fulfill since the Galaxy Nexus is international.

All you gotta do is call the manufacturer or use the chat system and ask before you buy. And if its true that espansys carrys out the warranty's then that's worth 50 more bucks in my book. But you could always buy a warranty from one of those companies I forget the names

Decision on buying Unlocked or AT&T Brand

If I buy an unlocked version for AT&T where is the best place to buy one? I would want one with a warranty first and foremost. Also, is the home button one that goes out easily? Will the phone run as fast as the one that will come out on AT&T officially? I wouldn't want to spend a ton of money on an unlocked one to find out it's slower than the one that AT&T puts out for hundreds of dollars cheaper.
Next is what about warranty. How safe am I buying unlocked? I have read a lot on this board about yellow stains and stuck pixels. How common are these to get? I don't want to buy a phone that's so much money to be stuck with these problems.
Thanks all
AJ

Expansys-USA provides warranty support for phones they sell meaning they'll ship it back to the UK if it needs service. If you buy it from an authorized dealer in the U.K. it's covered by Samsung's two-year global warranty. Regardless, count on being without your phone for a couple of weeks if it needs repair. If you're looking for the safety and security of a direct replacement overnighted from your carrier and loss/theft coverage importing a phone probably isn't for you.

It seems sturdy and I don't think there were problems with the SGS1 which utilized a home button also.

Unless the AT&T version has an upgraded processor then it wouldn't be any faster. T-Mobile is getting a version with the same Qualcomm chip as the Sensation which hasn't benchmarked well. The leaked pics of Sprint's version appears to be a real SGS2. Nothing specific's been posted about AT&T's version so it could be a 4.3" display with an Exynos chip or a 4.5" display with a Qualcomm chip. They just announced there first LTE phone won't be out until the end of the year and code for AT&T's LTE network was found in one of the latest ROMs. This means their SGS2 might not come out for a while or they'll be releasing it sooner as an HSPA+ phone vs. an LTE phone.

There have been some QC issues with the screen and some variances in color temperature from device to device. If you but if from Expansys exchanging it would be fairly simple. If you buy it in the UK it'll cost you shipping. Stay away from Handtec, they were hassling people on display related exchanges.
You have been very helpful my friend. What would you do? Would you wait for AT&T? Or would you buy unlocked? I have also heard a rumor that AT&T is going to go with the 4.5 inch screen size is that true?
What about Newegg? Are they any good?
Thank you for your time.

Newegg doesn't give you a warranty with the phone and I also seen a lot of people saying it comes without a seal if that means anything.

I would get international version for faster updates or bug fixes. You get to have SGS2 before many people.
Also, is HSPA+ phone as fast as the LTE phone? Will I even notice that big of a difference?
So newegg is a no go. I checked out Expansys-US and it looks legit.

LTE only matters if you plan on keeping the phone for a long time. AT&T's only going to have 15 markets up this year. If you get an international phone you can get fake-4G for $10 a month. LTE, while faster, is $30 for 2GB of data and $10 per GB beyond that. And you can't tether at that price. I stream video and tether a tablet and have had no speed issues and I'm in a 3G market.
You sound really paranoid about getting an international phone. You need to think hard about the downside.
- Warranty work will easily take weeks.
- You can buy accident insurance from SquareTrade for $94 for two years but you can't get theft/loss protection.
- If there are QC defects out of the box it'll be a pain to exchange the phone.
The upside is you can get cheap unlimited data (via AT&T), upgrades directly from Samsung, and there's no carrier molestation with crap added or functions stripped out.
Personally, if AT&T gets the same phone T-Mobile is (4.5" display/Qualcomm chip), I'd skip it. Without the Exynos chip the 4.5" phone is an SGS2 for marketing purposes only.
Not paranoid just getting all of the facts. Is the att version going to be 4.5?

No warranty. Also, their phones have been sourced from some strange places including Russia. If you're going to mod the phone than where it's from is less important.

So do any models actually have a real US warranty? (I.e. Not the Expansys deal).
I didn't think Samsung offers any US warranty coverage since the GSII hasn't been produced for the US.
I saw the "International Warranty" model on Amazon but no one can prove it's actually warranted...they just assume it's covered in the US.

If you send a phone to Samsung for repair they'll ask for a copy of the invoice and possibly a credit card statement if they're suspicious about the authenticity of the invoice. Any phone purchased outside it's intended market of sale is considered grey market and therefore has no warranty. Same thing for purchasing it from a retailer not authorized by Samsung. Since no model of the SGS2 is intended for sale in the U.S. buying it from anyone in the U.S. means it has no warranty - no matter what the seller might tell you. Supposedly, because the warranty is considered global, a properly purchased UK phone should be repaired by Samsung in the U.S. No one's tested that though. Expansys, because they have offices in the UK, ships the phone back through their UK office for warranty repairs.
If I were to buy Expansys-US would be the place because they do cover it. Now only problem is what if I buy it and AT&T come out with theirs in two weeks LOL! Also, what's the fail rate on the screens, etc?

AT&T WILL probably have the Galaxy S II in a few weeks... if you can you are probably better off waiting to see which model you prefer. I heard US varients of the GS II were getting Tegra processors and of course AT&T will cripple the phone with bloatware and slow updates.. so I went ahead and got an unlocked one from Amazon that DOES have a warrenty. Who knows, maybe AT&T will surprise everyone and keep the Galaxy S II the way it should be.

I doubt there would be long lines, if any for the Galaxy S II at an AT&T store. Now the iPhone 5... that's a different story haha . But yea I don't know what to say, the unlocked Galaxy S II is awesome if you have some extra money to spend... otherwise wait and see what AT&T has to offer.

Well I thank everyone for the feedback. I may wait because no warranty and the whole few weeks thing. I just hope att version isn't big as the infuse.

Quick purchasing (in US) questions

I want a galaxy note. (doesn't everyone?) Sadly, Samsung neglects those of us in the US, making us wait months and months after a phone is released before we see it. Even then, we only get the "carrier downgraded" versions.
So, I'm going to order an unlocked version online. Actually, I just placed an order with amazon.com for one that comes with a 3rd party 90 day US warranty, and is described as "Samsung Galaxy Note GT-N7000 Unlocked Cellphone--US Warranty (Blue)" (Looks like I got the last one they have in stock, too.)
Does anyone have any idea what "(blue)" is all about? Is this the same Galaxy Note seen throughout Europe, or some US downgraded one? The model number is listed as "GT-N7000", but I'm paranoid... Perhaps it's just a different color batter cover?
Does the Note have 5GHz wifi, or only 2.4GHz? (I've googled for this, but some places claim "802.11 b/g/n" while others claim "802.11 a/b/g/n"
I've seen (and am thankful for) the sticky posted for US users on AT&T. The APN settings pretty much match what I'm using on my GSII (at&t downgraded version.)
Anything else I need to know before I start using this new phone? (I'm coming from a galaxy SII (at&t version.)
Thank you
Gary
The blue colour is the one which is sold everywhere. Its dark blue. I think the note supports 802.11 b/g/n both 5hz and 2.4hz

I would be more suspicious of that "US Warranty." Who's the 3rd party, and what are the terms?
Welcome aboard! I also come from S2 but International Version....I have the Gnote about a month ago... Yes...it's connect to WIFI 5G ( my router Netgear WNDR 3700). I have the ATT go phone plan, and getting average about 1.5 - 2.5 MB/s @ my area with the latest firmware. You have to flash the new firmware for the fast data speed. Very happy with these speed from a go-phone plan.
I also ordered from Amazon fulfilled (Global Mobiles) and got the German Version.
The battery cover is a very dark blue color. It's almost black, but in the light you can see it's dark blue. It's very nice.
What amazon seller did you buy the Note from?
Samsung doesnt make you wait, its the us carriers to blame.

I went with expansys us - which is a big reputable cell importer, has a huge supply of the Note ( 31 in stock currently) and many of its accessories, and when I called them explained that they had a real 2 year Samsung European warranty that you have to go back through them to fulfill. 2 yrs though with no cost.
$689.99, free ship. -- to me was the best $/warranty/speed to deliver deal with the reputable dealer.
Got it it delivered quickly and in my hands. They communicated throughout.

Nexus 10 India

Well guys we people in India always have the problem that, most of the "nexus" devices are never released in India, and if they do their seriously overpriced.
So i am planning to get this beauty via my Uncle whose in USA, Now what's the problem? No warranty in India. And also that there wont be any part's available so now what do i do?
I can't buy this from India(I expect it to sell that 34,000(nearly 620$) for 16 gb)
What are you guys doing to this device?
Dude , get the Nexus 10 , Have the uncle check it for a week for so in his time in the US , so he can get it exchanged in case of defects, If u dont mess around things run pretty fine . I have a US bought lappy since 4 years , w/o any problems . So grab ur NExus before they run out of stock
ASUS is honouring the warranty for the Nexus 7 in India, so I hope Samsung also honours the Nexus 10 warranty in India.
Of course, we will have to confirm it from Samsung India, but hope for the best..
Hey OP ,from which city you are buddy ? Mumbai ? Even i am looking to get but no any chance to launch in india ,dont know why such discriminiation .
I asked Samsung on their site about their plans to launch the Nexus 10 in India, and this is the reply I got :
"We are sorry for the inconvenience caused to you.
As per the mentioned query of Samsung Tablet Nexus 10, we don’t have any launching information in INDIA so kindly bear with us till then.
As per the mentioned query, we request you to be in touch for the future reference.

So from their reply, it looks as if they are clueless about the Nexus 10. Therefore, it seems unlikely it would be released in India.

Samsung Google Nexus 10 16GB (Imported) we have listed is imported from USA. That is why there is a price advantage.
Product is brand new and comes with one year manufacturer's warranty and we take care of logistic expenses for 1 year if there is any manufacturing defects.
We deliver the product in mentioned turn around time once we receive the order.
Thank you,

Just ordered!!! Infact, now I have two which have been dispatched for me.
The thing is, someone who is coming over from London for a visit in a couple of weeks promised to buy me one. But she wasn't sure if the google store link would open, so she ordered one from some website which claimed that it can send one in 20-25 days(kinda forgot the name). Three days ago, that website sent her an E-mail stating that it was unlikely that they would be able to provide her with one due to high demand. So yesterday, just as the device got restocked on the UK play store, she bought me one from Play Store UK. Now this morning as she gets up, and realizes that she should cancel the first order, she recieves a mail from the older website saying that the first Nexus10 has been dispatched!!!
And now the one from the Play Store has been dispatched too.So the way I look at it, atleast one of those orders would have a perfect Nexus 10 which I would have in my hands 14 days from now. And one of my friends/family is also going to get unexpectedly really lucky!

[Q] unlocked-mobiles.com - Samsung Galaxy S4

Has anyone bought from this site before http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/
If so, what was your experience,
The Galaxy S4 is very cheap on this site http://www.unlocked-mobiles.com/sim-free-mobile-phones/samsung-galaxy-s4-sim-free-p-84354.html
I was thinking of getting it, reading some reviews the only problems customers have come across is after sales support, if the phone has a fault or is damaged in some way unlocked-mobiles are hard to deal with (apparently).
advertisement!
I've pre ordered mine with them. They have taken payment already, which some people don't like. I'm not bothered as I've paid by credit card. They seem legit and are registered with company's house under ulm.com. No sign of going bust or scammers. They have been around a while too.
The price they are charging appears to be the same as the "leaked" rrp price that was reported several days ago, a few weeks after they first listed at that price. Seems like everyone else are just greedy gits

Eh, I don't think they're all that good as a company to be honest, my USB port died on my GS2 after 13 months, I emailed to ask about the warranty and they told me even though they advertise that it comes with a 2 year warranty, it's really only 1 year, and anything after that I'd have to prove Samsung was at fault and that it wasn't due to wear and tear.
Their site is hosted by "uk-cheapest.co.uk" and the registrant for their domain name has a Yahoo! e-mail address. They're certainly no Clove or Handtec.

To be fair that's down to Samsung. It's their discretion on warranty cover. Although you could go down the legal route when goods don't last a reasonable amount of time for the price paid, which the supplier is responsible for.
I'm not sure many companies would help after more than a month or 2 without a push.
Even Game required a snotty letter (pointing out consumer law rights) before they agreed to fix an xbox 360 past its warranty period.

So we know this website is legitimate as people have received their products. Although would you buy from them?
I've also ordered the s4 with them.

And everything went well?
Careful with these guys - they charge a 15% restocking fee if you change your mind - check their T&Cs. You get a shock if you return the item.
I know it won't be an issue for most as you'll want to keep hold of your S4s but worth thinking about of your not sure as it's a huge restock cost.

If your buying from abroad u may get hit by it I guess...

Good point. Having a clause like that though indicates to me what type of organisation they are

So far so good.... They have advised me that I should receive the s4 one day after release at latest. I did do some background checks on them and they seem to be all good. Plus I played by credit card so I am covered if they FAFF around

Could have told me that before I had ordered it from Spigen! Damn! Haha

Really bad HTC customer service experience

Broke the screen of my HTC One Developer Edition bought from letstalk. Sent in back to HTC USA and they charged me $300 to replace it. Although the price is high, I decide to accept it (As far as I remember, the cost of a S4 is less that $250)
What's worse, I never get any updates from them for two weeks. After I called, I was told that I have to wait for a month!
I will never try HTC again.

Where did you get your phone from? In many countries phones are brought in by an official distributor, and they handle all warranty related issues (as well as repairs). They may have regional HTC offices, but they are mostly admin branches. So maybe you should direct your rage to whoever it is you bought your phone from.

I bought my HTC ONE developer edition from Let's talk.com, US. I sent the device back to HTC USA factory. So I guess it's not a distributor issue.
HTC told me it would take them 2 days to fix my phone after receiving it (this was when I broke my One X).

because they sell the unlocked and developer edition at msrp price than ebay?
Or sole retailer for it..
Just to clarify, if you buy a phone from HTC art htc.com, letstalk handles order processing and fulfillment. So the "reason " I bought my phone from letstalk is: I didn't. I don't know who they are and I don't care. I bought my phone from HTC.

because only HTC sells developer edition, and letstalk handles all the orders from HTC.

This is my real experience!
Do note htc online store is not handled by htc but negotiated out to a separate company in this case letstalk whos customer service is terrible and really the entire company is bad from order processing to customer service. If you have an issue call htc main headquarters or file a better business complaint against htc to their Washington headquarters. I had an issue and they resolved it alot better and quicker than letstalk customer service ever would.
