[Q] Frozen screen - HD Mini General

Hello. I accidentaly left my phone on the ground and there was juice on the ground. In the morning my phone's power button didn't work (always being pressed inside). I believe that juice flooded holes around power button, and somehow damaged it. Next day power button was working fine, BUT my phone was totally frozen. I can turn on device now normally and, then I need to enter PIN code - all the numbers, letters, volume buttons don't work, only power button is fine.
Help, please!

weird power button operation-g3 wiz

Hi guys, I hope I can type this coherently.
I have a g3 wizard that I have flashed many times over the last year or so. Lately the power button has stopped working. I can get the phone to turn on by plugging it in, and then holding in the camera/voice buttons and THEN hitting the power button. It goes into the rainbow screen, and I just soft reset via the hole on the side. At that point it is on and running fine, but the power button does nothing.
The power button does nothing at all unless I plug the phone in, and then only if I go to bootloader. It seems to work just fine to do that-which is what is stumping me. I thought the button was just broken. The charge/battery lights do come on.
For now I have it set to never turn off, so I try to make sure it doesn't run too low. The battery life seems ok. Any tips? I want to be able to put the phone to sleep again...
thanks

[11 April][Q] Power Button Not Working

Power button does not respond at any point.
*EDIT:except after battery out for a long time, then power button WILL turn the phone on, but then continues to not function as per usual.
However, the phone automatically turns on as soon as the battery is placed in, so it's not dead at least.
Also can not get the phone to be recognised on either of two computers (one running Win 7 and the other Vista) always get "device has malfunctioned etc"
Have re-flashed a ROM from SD but same problem. If holding down the Vol Down on start up (putting the battery in) I can get to bootloader, hence the re-flash. But holding down both gets to the hard reset 'warning' screen, but it won't let me press Vol Up to actually do the hard reset.
All in all a frustrating problem which means I have to remove my battery to turn my phone off and have to use the option from Windows Menu to lock the device.
Any help with any of the problems is greatly appreciated.
Also Power Button mechanical function is still normal.
Many thanks.
Sounds like your end key has become faulty as well as your volume up button. Both of witch are common issues, especially the end button, but most peoples volume down button wears out first. This is do to the fact that the end/power key is in constant use from turning on and off the HD2 or from getting MAGLDR to pulled up a bootup for those running NAND Android. Also the volume keys take a lot of wear and tear from constant volume adjustment especially if you listen to alot of music on your HD2. Plus the volume ..down key takes extra wear and tear from being used to enter bootloader.
hello
hello vsem
Yes it does seem that way, however I have had teh battery out over night, when I put it back in this morning it DID NOT automatically initiate the boot sequence. But it did after I pressed the power button, so it must have read it to some extent?
Also when the phone is on I can change the volume up and down as per usual, its all a bit strange.
Any other way to initiate a hard reset other than that menu?
Thanks very much!
It seems you are having a hardware issue, try sending your device to the service centre.

[Q] Strange digitizer/hardware keys problem.

Hi!
I had some liqiud_on_phone (eco bathroom cleaner ) problem two months ago, but I've disassembled phone, dryed by paper towel and hair dryer (on lowest setting with cold "blow") and nothing was broken. sim card and microsd card were wet by this liquid which I believe wasn't electricity conductor - phone was powered on for quite long time after that "situation".
Since one month I have problem with unlocking phone from lock screen. WinMO or Android - doesn't matter - always the same:
when I press power button touch screen doesn't responds, but when I press other hardware buttons I can unlock phone. Only after reboot there is some time where power button works ok.
Did anyone have same problem and where can I find solution for this?
OK, now I've figured it out... On 99% it is power button problem. When screen blanks itself then I can wake up phone by any button but power (power button wakes up but touchscreen doesn't work).
Please close/remove current thread.
Cheers!

[Q] Power Button Completely Dead - Cannot Turn on Phone

My power button gradually died over a week after having the phone since release. I took it all apart and let the power button and the little thing attached to it soak in pure alcohol and alcoholed the parts near the power button, it still doesn't work.
Everything else works however, screen starts charging when I plug it in,etc. Is there any way to turn on the Nexus 4 without the power button so I can use it again?
Thank you
just short the 2 golden contacts in the mobo(its what power button does '-') till it turns on

s4 i9500 not start

Guys I was yesterday turned off the phone, now turns and reaches the black background with logo of Samsung Galaxy S4, then restarts, will not let me enter recovery mode, and if I enter download mode, gives me the option of pressing button increase or decrease volume and pressing any of these resets and returns to the above.

What can I do?
Your power button may be stuck.
when pressed, it feels normal

Click to collapse
It just "feels" normal.
Try tapping it on a hard surface for a while..not too hard tapping though..
It should be fine. Happens with many here
could it be because the place you battery latches only
I just remove the phone to see if the buttons are locked, and there were none in this condition
I believe there are 3 connections on the motherboard for the power button. Do you have a multimeter to see if the power button circuits are constantly open or closed?
I opened it and pulled the internal button on and off and was constantly rebooting, I took a technical service and changed the internal button now works well; )
