[Gossip] iPhone OS to Droid?

Sorry this is most likley the wrong place but the target audience is the same. Take it with a bit of salt but if anyone can do this Geohot can (inventor of blackra1n and first to ever unlock the iPhone)
@Geohot
Amazing work @planetbeing and team for getting Android to run on the iPhone. Now I want to see iPhone OS on the droid

Wow.
I went to school for computer engineering and seeing someone with that much skill makes me cry. Damn.
iPhone OS isn't open source. It'd be extremely difficult if not impossible.
Plus, who'd want to run it?
i dont care for the OS i want the apps.i wodner if its possible to make a iphone emulator for android lol

just for the ability to dual boot.
hell i'd do it if i could
I would rather dual boot to debian. But it is cool to see what geeks can do with a bit of know-how and a lot of coffee.

still i'd run iPhone OS on my Nexus. I would just want it to be a NEW VERSION of the OS
(i thought it was funny that they were running like version 1.5 or whatever. still kudos to them for doing that)

You think he would mind giving us a tutorial on how to boot it? lol
Why can an iPhone dual-boot and a nexus can't? This just makes me mad...
I'm pretty sure iphone os on any android handset is never going to happen, since iphone os isn't open source.
That simple fact is going to make life a whole lot more difficult.
Plus, why would you want it anyway - the OS is the reason I got rid of my iphone (there's nothing wrong with the hardware)!!

use apps. to have it. ha. idk just for the shear fact to prove that it could dual boot something.
and apparently its been able to dual boot since launch... what does it dual boot?
First of all its the first gen iphone. Thats like putting a ferrari badge or a reliant k. Second, Geohot is a douche canoe. He has amazing talent but the arrogance to match it. Third, first gen iphones have been running linux for years, do it on a 3G(s) and i will be inpressed.

legit. but is it just plain linux os or what?
The only other OS I would ever want to see on an Android device would be either Debian or Maemo. Preferably Maemo as it's such an amazing OS and it's completely open source and runs on a full linux kernel.
i would love to see iphone os 3 on the nexus also for the ability to run all those appz and games on our nexus.

Until this latest news the only thing Linux would do on an iphone was boot. There were no touch screen drivers or GUI or anything of the sort. The only interaction with it had to be done from a computer. Even though its on a first gen iphone thats a pretty big achievement.
You get it running on a 3G(s) since it is so easy.

why does everyone call themselves a n00b in thread titles

somehow XDA should reroute anyone who uses Noob, n00b or newb in the thread title to the search function.
also, anyone gonna get an augen touch pad?

An Android device must be "PlayStation Certified" in order to run these... ?
Hmm.
Rather suspicious, don't you think? Twenty bucks says this will never get further than Sony's own Xperia line.

I hope this will make it to our Vibrants. Seems silly to make it exclusive when they could stand to make a lot more money selling these games to all high end phones.
EDIT: I read in an interview with Jack Tretton (on engadget I believe) that Playstation Suite is only for Gingerbread, and that it will come to the only phone available right now with Gingerbread, the Nexus S. So I don't think they'll limit it to SE phones, but we will need Gingerbread if we wanna get in on the fun.

Hopefully this will allow us to send and receive messages form our PSN accounts to our phone. i would love to be able to get my ps3 messages on my phone!
yeah I read about this on cent or engadget a little while ago but from my understanding the it's only going to be able to run on Nexus S phones and the new dual core phones that are coming out. But either way it's rad and I hope they do end up making it work on the Vibrant
abd how come nexus s is different from my vibrant besides camera flash and lack of external sd ? if it runs on nexus runs on vibrant
The Nexus S runs Gingerbread while the vibrant officially does not. That's what people are getting at unfortunately. So unless GB is in the works by Samsung and carriers are actually going to push it through to the devices we may not officially see it. But we all have things like CyanogenMod which makes everything a bit simpler in the long run.

Yes and no:
Could it technically be ported over to EVO? Sure. Would we want to? Well, would you want to put ChromeOS, Windows 98, or Ubuntu on your phone as an everyday driver? Point is, it's not designed for a screen as small as a phone's, even the EVO's glorious 4" LCD. For those of you who complain that anything below 240 dpi is hard to read, you'd be hauling a microscope around to read the text on a Honeycomb port.

You may have missed the stories where people ran the Honeycomb emulator as a handset and got a more traditional Android UI. Even Anderwebs tweeted that Honeycomb is already half compatible with handsets and it should be fully compatible by the time it launches.
Thought it was started that sdk had hints to phone capability
