[Q] Is my SD card dead? - HD2 Windows Phone 7 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting an

Hi,
I have installed "Back to the Future [XBmod-Yuki][Updatable]Build 8107" everything was ok, after that i rebooted my phone in MAGLDR and cleared the SD with ClearSD MBR and after this I installed "06.FEB HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 mango 7.10.8107.79 v7.3" and now when I try to boot in wp I get the "Storage card not working" message .So i tried to format it in windows and I saw that is no SD card recognized(i don't see the 200mb partition), I tried with a camera to, but no succes...is my SD card dead??
The memory card is a 8 gb SanDisk class 2.
Thank you

your card is locked.... unlock card with old nokia phone or flash Yuki ROM again and use cab file to unlock card....

And if I want to go back to HD2 Pdaimatejam Rom Wp7.5 mango 7.10.8107.79 v7.3 how should i proceed to avoid locking it again?

Pdaimatejam Rom not lock card
when you unlock card, you must format it to FAT32.... then install Pdaimatejam Rom...

I have flashed the Yuki Rom-unlocked the card-reboot-flashed Pdaimatejam rom with succes.Thank you very much

Error when updating from 7403 to 7720 using YUKI ROM

Hello I am a newbie.
I have followed all the directions. I have successfully moved from 7004 to 7403. However, when I try to update to 7720 using cab files I get an error stating that there is not enough memory. I do not have a sd card in the device and the about screen says i have 39 mb free though. Do I have to purchase an sd card, and if so will I have to downgrade to 6.5 or can I reformat it in wp 7?
If you uppdate via CAB-sender you can uppdate to 7390 (NODO) without an SD card. But uppdating to 7720 you must have an SD-card WP7 compatible. If you uppdate via zune and zune tell you that it will uppdate to 7720 from 7008 you must have an SD-card.
If you bye a new SD-card it is formated fat32 and is not locked then you only have to put it in and uppgrade. There are very good guides how to uppdate to mango in this forum. Good luck.

[Q] After installing WP7 Rom - My SD is dead (both phone and PC)

Good day
i had working Dual boot OS with WP7 and android for the last 2 weeks on my HTC HD2 with 32Gb SanDisk MicroSD.
yesterday i wanted to make a new installation with other versions on the OS. So...
i formatted the SD card to New FAT32 and the PC recognize it well.
I went to install WP7 from there :
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1236027
and after the installation the phone reboot and i did again hard reset for it to build up the partitions on the SD.
after the second boot the phone got stuck and i had to take the battery out in i wanted to start all over from the beginning.
when i went to format the SD again my Windows didn't find it nothing i did.
i i used all the partition application i know but nothing - no SD or dead sd.
i also installed Gparted and boot from the live cd but still no SD.
i installed original WM 6.5 - buy fuss what - still no SD installed.
i don't know what to do??????
i installed also android on hand and tried to format from the android but still - no SD installed.
is there some magic i can do?
or my SD is dead?
i hope i can fix it......
thanks
your SD card is locked.... BTTF lock card and that card not readable.... you must unlock card first... send unlock cab file to phone and after that you can format card (or use old Nokia phone http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1242071)
if you want dual boot without worry about locking card, try use Pdaimatejam Rom or DFT UltraFruit
also you have video how to dual boot android and WP7 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1356833
Hi
you have to use "ultimate boot cd", boot on, find your sd card and format
hope this help
Thanks

4 reset the phone and put again the sd card
5 now you can access to the unlock app. use it to unlock your card

Did i brick my SD card with WP7 ??

Hi together,
i was very happy with my HD2 and WP7 Mango using a 32GB class 6 SD card.
Then i flashed my HD2 back to WM6.5 and send it back to Vodafone for a Hardware support issue.
then i tried the 32GB card with a cardreader in Windows. Nothing happened. I Neither see the normal 200MB partition in Windows.
I used severel Partion Software (Partition Manager, Partition Magic, SD Card formatter, magldr SD clear etc). But i can't see my SD Card plugged in.
Today i installed again WP7 on my HD2 with another SD card and it works. I put it in Windows, and i see the 200MB partition an i can format this to its whole space.
So what happened with my 32GB card, and how can i format it back, that it will work
edit:
i also followed these steps: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=913144
but my sd card is not getting recognized
I had the same thing; where the card isn't recognised by anything so therefore can't be formatted to a blank state.
The solution for me was hard resetting the phone (Volume buttons while WPH is booting from MaGLDR) with the sdcard inserted which makes the system recapture it.
That should render the card usable again, but FMI which ROM where you running initially? My problem (and solution) came from Xboxmod's BBTF Rom.

@gregory90
the cab method worked fine
i got my 32gb card back *jibbieh*
Use the disk utility in mac osx, and restore the card to 1 partition, and FAT format.

What you need to do is to flash Yuki/XBmod v2.1. Don't need to update any further...can use base 7004. Install StorageLock.cab from XBmod's thread. Unlock the SD card. Turn off phone...don't reboot...remove SD card. The SD card is now accessible to repartition
