Hi there,i checked but couldn't find a similar problem with mine,so i started a new thread...
I have a problem when it comes to respond to an sms...
I get the notification on my starting screen, and i'm opening it normally...
After i read it,on the bottom of my screen there's a dialog box in which i should be able to touch and write...
Well here's my problem...
I check it,the dialog box opens with the keyboard, but it collapsses immediately and i cannot type the response!
In order to write back,i must go back to the summary screen of my sms,and recheck the sms i just got!(sometimes twice inorder to write)
I use the stock ROM,have you heard for something like that again????
It also seems tha when the keyboard language is preset into English,it works fine.
The problem seems to occur when Greek lang is selected(the one i prefer to use)
I had something similar, but on custom ROM.
And it was ROM error, corrected in next ROM iteration.
But on stock ROM... hmmm... Which version of stock ROM?

hello everyone..
before i start i just have to say i was amazed at the quality and quantity of information found in these forums. you have done a great job! i mean it!
so having said that.. let's get to the real point cause i'm about to throw this thing to the wall
to start with, i have a Qtek s100 flashed with the NL 1.13 ROM.
it's a great ROM and i don't think the problem i'm going to describe is related to that, but just in case.
everything worked fine till today, when i tried to "skin" the standard keyboard with a mui file found here... i was stupid enough not to pay enough attention if that mui was for wm5 or 6 (i have wm2003se)
anyway i copied it in the Windows folder and did a soft-reset..
at first when i clicked the sip-button nothin happened so i thought "well that mui isn't written for _my_ .dll"
i renamed it.. did a soft-reset, deleted it.. and that was is.. from that point something really bad happened..
when i press the sip-button nothing opens.. (except transcriber) and when the transcriber opens and i switch to the keyboard no matter what it stays there not being able to close it.. like the function or sth behind the button is messed up
i did a full backup, hard reset.. with the ROM clean installed everything was ok
but when i restored the backup the same prob was there..
any ideas how can i fix it? could it be a faulty Registry issue that can be fixed without having to reinstall everything from scratch?
thanks in advance!
hello..
first, has anyone addressed the issue of Fim not working without using the external browser setting for winmo 6.5.3+
every 6.5 rom ive flashed fim works just fine can look at all my notification and inbox in the program itself
...anything above 6.5 = no dice
my second question is...is there any reason the AT&T keyboard cab wouldnt change the layout in a tmob based rom?
im using J Lavoie 23541 sense 2.5 and the keyboard cab has no effect at all on the keyboard.
thanks
keyboard fix
ok, figured out the keyboard issue by searching for a long time and trying different orders of installing these. make sure to do it in this order.
install the att keyboard cab
then install the rhodiumkbd cab
restart
settings, system, keyboard config
menu, config, load... goto where these are on your phone and choose the xml file
after it says its configed, click update config on bottom left.
and there u go
fixed keyboard
as for the Fim, seems using the external browser was the fix for the internal internet not working, so maybe the next released update of Fim will fix this
I have a bug when writing sms with XT9 enabled.
1. I write a word, but misclick and use 1 extra letter..
2. Use backspace to remove the error
3. Click on the word I want to use
When doing this, the whole word is gone and I have to write it over. If I hit backspace twice and then fill in the last letter, it works like a charm.
This problem is only when writing sms. When writing in the calender or any other place, the bug is not there.
Im currently using 1.66 stock NOR ROM. I had this bug with last stock rom as well.
Does anyone have a fix for this?
Am I the only one with this bug?
I have a problem that when the screen of my phone is off I do not receive many of my text messages. When I turn the screen on texts that have been sent a while ago come through. This is a problem I have found recently on various ROMs including Energy and millski rom which I am using now.
A link to the ROM I am currently using can be found here - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=648831
Does anyone have any ideas of what the problem could be and how I could fix it - Thanks
I had the exact same problem with Xannytech Grid Evo ROM. I could not for the life of me figure out what the problem was. I posted a few times and didn't get any answers. Also couldn't find anyone else with the same problem.
I am now on the latest Energy ROM, problem seems to be fixed.
yes, this is a common problem ,only solution according to me,is to tweak your phone slightly ....and problem sorted out !
i have stock rom 6.1 and had same problem ..(that phone does not wake up.)
i suggest take look at this suggestion........
install " HD TWEAK " application ...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=452505
(read instructions in thread)
or if you already have it installed on phone
..open application .
.go to 2.2...."wake up on new sms " ( heading)
then check ..window at bottom of screen ....select .."enable "
then select "ok " ...also at bottom right of screen and close "hd tweak" and reboot ..
phone will wake up on new sms receive......
only problem i found that the phone is ...unlock after wake up...!
.so installed appl." LOCKDEVICE vers 1.6 " by danielherrero
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=542482
(read instruction in thread )
this appl is a " Ultralight app to lock after wakeup"

i had installed the Rom 3 days ago ... but being completely Chinese and no way to make it English ... I've reverted back to my original ROM...
the Rom feels faster than r3aa035 with increased response .. and the Rom now recognize correctly your touches on the screen as a single touch or a sweep especially in start menu >>> it's so smooth and error free.
i didn't have much time with the Rom but i extracted the cabs for you to try ...
these cabs are the same as our cabs except 4 or 5 programs .
download here
>>> if you find this post useful ... please click thanks button <<<
Thanks for posting. just downloaded and looking at the files, gonna try some of them out and see what will happen.

xt9_zs_turn_prediction_on.cab -sets only one reg key to suggest names in adressbook
maybe u need few more(settings n stuff to make those work)
heh
rubbish. i think it's needed the hole package, couse mine phone now freezes everytime i have missed call needed to reinstall original notif package.
I've either installed those cabs and i haven't had a problem until now, of course, they didn't fix anything, the phone is exactly as it was before, the only diference, is when i receive a phone call, a notificacion wich tells "call deviation active" appears (it really appears in spanish, so i don't know wheter is translated that way), and this is a bit annoying, because it hides all the other options in the screen.
Greetings.
