[Short Q] Best desire sense NAND rom for HD2 - HD2 Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting and Genera

Hi
Tried searching around, but the nand development section isnt wat it was, pretty hard to fin what im lookking for
Im currently looking for a desire sense rom, stable, fast low, battery drain, no ext. partition etc. Should be Froyo with standard sense 2.0.
Thought about cotullas first nand rom ever for the HD2, but it might not be that stable
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance!

Dungphp's Desire Z Sense ROM is really good, but it's Sense 2.1 on Gingerbread.

[Q] Best Android Build For HD2???

Hi,
As per my post at link below, I've been running Android on my UK O2 HTC HD2, the Mod CyanogenMod-6.0.0-N1(shubCRAFT 1.5_by shu8i), Android 2.2 (booting from SD card).
My question is... Is there a better, more stable version out there and if so which? I must admit, if the Desire HD Rom is available and works, I'd like to try it if someone can point me in the right direction?
Thanks in advance.

shubcraft is such an old build. probably almost all builds available now are better. you should try darkstone superram.
I tried the most of roms. Darkstone superram with sense or without sense ist the best, very fast and stable.
Sense HD is still on tests because of some Bugs, but you can try Desire Z from
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=881937
This rom has almost the same functions like Sense HD and it's fast. Try it without the included Androidapps and do your own apps on it ! That makes a big difference of quickness
2 reasons, why I would use Sense HD or Sense Z instead of Darkstone superram with sense:
1 - Because of the Internet conection through the PC (without W-Lan)
2 - The Location-App : It's cool to have the Maps already on your phone
So if someone know how to do these both functions on the Darkstone superram sense possible, please let me know!
I hope, I helped and want to be helped

Upgrade to a NAND version... Nexus One Build by Tytung is my choice... MDJ also makes a nice build.
Hi,
Thanks, I've been running the Darkstone rom this afternoon and have got it all set-up and it seems to be charging ok too without having switched off once which is great.
One further question though, concerning the 'genie' is it, news and weather widget which doesn't seem to be included on this build, can i get it for the 2.2.1 build as I found it very useful?
Thanks again

Go full NAND at this point. SD Card installs are so last month!! LOL!
I am using the Cotulla Desire ROM and everything, and I mean everything works 100%. WinMo 6.5 is now a part of my past! Just do it!
you are right

i also agree
poor old winmo...
The best build for me is MCCM HD v4.0. Run's fast, no lag, no black screen after a call. I tryed
Desire_Z all ver and all similar Rafpigna 4.1, CoreDroid 0.4 etc. All of them are laggy and full of bugs, and shouldn't be released as that.
wanna know too

Very confused about the many builds of NAND

Hi I just got a TMOUS HD2 recently, and it's stock on WM6.5. It currently has a broken screen so I'll have to fix that first, but when I do, I want to flash to a NAND Android build.
I checked out the forum over at NAND Android Dev, and there's gotta be over 100's of builds there.
I just want one that's either Froyo or Gingerbread, stock and stable.
Is there a single build that I should be looking at? Or is it that I can't go wrong with any of the builds?
Thanks.
As you obviously noticed, there are many NAND roms out there... the reason that there are so many is that different people prefer different things. You should really try out a few, so you get a feel for what you like. Do you prefer Gingerbread or Froyo? Sense or no sense? Then there are all the different rom bases... A good place to start (I think) is with MDJ's Cyanogenmod gingebread build MDJ 2.5. Its what I use and its been fast, stable, and had great battery life so far.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I'm not too sure if I have this right, but I believe TMOUS and HTC roms cannot be mixed, right? Is the CyanogenMod for TMOUS? And how can I tell whether a rom is for which version of the phone?

my phone is from TMOUS and iam using MDJ's 2.5
I recommed the 2.15.50.14 Radio with this rom..
Actually, I think the only build that is stock froyo is tytung's nexusHD2 build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895059
darkstone's supernand build is plain froyo but it's highly experimental, and when I tried it there were some severe lag at some spots, despite the super high quadrant marks.
There are several gingerbread builds. The two stock one that comes to mind are tytung's and iamgpc's build. MDJ's is a cyanogenmod build, not sure about the hyperdroid. I can't say any of the gingerbread builds can be called stable, since the gps is very iffy. If you don't mind that then they're getting pretty good.
Any recommendation for the smoothest sense Rom?
I am currently using [30 DEC][DFT]LEO "Stock Desire" NAND Android ROM by Cotulla and would like to try a faster sense build
Thanks!!!

Kindly any recommendations?
Im using iamgpc's build and its top quality.
Fully working apart from facebook contacts sync. Battery life is good as well but I think BT driver takes 60ma in standby so that needs knocking off when not in use.
Oh and I managed to go from V6 to V7 of that rom without loosing any user data/apps etc.

[Q] HD2 HTC Sense

OK, I am extremely confused about getting hold of a NAND ROM for HTC Android 2.1
(or higher) that includes HTC Sense. Is the Desire build the right one for me?
Are there any problems with it?
Where can I get such a ROM?
Is CyanogenMod what I'm looking for?
If so which version do I use?
And Also, where can I get an apropriate radio rom?
Many thanks
Like in the the video bellow
youtube.com/watch?v=vbtwO0VsNy8&feature=related
basically a NAND version is what I am looking for of the one in the video

Radio is in the WinMo6.5 Development forum. The Desire Builds are great. DesireHD builds are good too, just a tad slower. Sense builds tend to be a little more battery hungry than vanilla builds. If you're looking for Sense, CyanogenMod is not for you. All problems with Sense builds are listed at the OP of their respective development threads. Most are 99% working.
The video that you posted is old. We've already moved past that and on to Sense 2.2. Just... read... Seriously. These people put hours and hours and hours into making their builds, and you can't spend a few minutes to read what they write and how to put it on your phone when others have already spend hours experimenting with their phones an writing guides so that the layman can do it? It's insulting to the developers.
2.2 ROM
So what I am looking for is the Desire HD 2.2 ROM?
Do you know where I could find one?
Check this: http://android.hd2roms.com/
Or you could just check out the NAND Development section as we're on XDA were all of them ROM's from that link are probably just copied from here. That's where all the ROM's are lol.
If you can't find it (wouldn't know why you wouldn't be able to but find the Q&A ) here's the link. http://forum.xda-developers.com/forumdisplay.php?f=928
Here's a list of most of the ROM's available for the HD2.

Which one do you reccomend?
Which one do you reccomend, or do i just get vanilla gingerbread?
I would personally recommend you choose one compatible with your device, Leo 512.

Well, loads has obviously changed now. I would recommend looking here for instructions on how to start over and using this ROM, but you should obviously experiment in terms of ROMs.
suggestion: boyppc roms
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1199917
I would suggest the 2.3.7 roms. fast and complete

most stable rom out? + other..

So I'm finally a proud owner of an HD2 (again..) Anyway... The rom I bought the phone with isn't the most stable from what I can tell, "BOYPPC_SENSE 3.0 STOCK V7 0.5 OCTOBER". Or at least it's just not fit to my standards..So I'd like to know whats the best ROM to use, for every day use? I was thinking of CM7, since I've always loved the quality ROMs produced by them, but I'm just not sure..
ALSO...Before I brick my HD2 (again), can someone give me the STEP BY STEP instructions on how to install whatever ROM through my SD card? I do NOT want to ruin a phone again so I'm taking major precautions.. Please just dont link me to a thread and say "here".. I just want some instructions from a fellow XDA and HD2 owner as myself.. Thanks guys..Rep to whoever helps me out with this
do you have mgldr or clk in your phone?

Pretty much all aosp gingerbread ROM's without sense are stable and fast. They can be used as daily builds with almost all features working flawlessly. CM7 builds give much more customization and options, but often are not as stable. For the best battery life I would suggest a gingerbread build with noting on it (no CM7 or sense)
