Hi I just got a TMOUS HD2 recently, and it's stock on WM6.5. It currently has a broken screen so I'll have to fix that first, but when I do, I want to flash to a NAND Android build.
I checked out the forum over at NAND Android Dev, and there's gotta be over 100's of builds there.
I just want one that's either Froyo or Gingerbread, stock and stable.
Is there a single build that I should be looking at? Or is it that I can't go wrong with any of the builds?
Thanks.
As you obviously noticed, there are many NAND roms out there... the reason that there are so many is that different people prefer different things. You should really try out a few, so you get a feel for what you like. Do you prefer Gingerbread or Froyo? Sense or no sense? Then there are all the different rom bases... A good place to start (I think) is with MDJ's Cyanogenmod gingebread build MDJ 2.5. Its what I use and its been fast, stable, and had great battery life so far.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I'm not too sure if I have this right, but I believe TMOUS and HTC roms cannot be mixed, right? Is the CyanogenMod for TMOUS? And how can I tell whether a rom is for which version of the phone?

my phone is from TMOUS and iam using MDJ's 2.5
I recommed the 2.15.50.14 Radio with this rom..
Actually, I think the only build that is stock froyo is tytung's nexusHD2 build
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=895059
darkstone's supernand build is plain froyo but it's highly experimental, and when I tried it there were some severe lag at some spots, despite the super high quadrant marks.
There are several gingerbread builds. The two stock one that comes to mind are tytung's and iamgpc's build. MDJ's is a cyanogenmod build, not sure about the hyperdroid. I can't say any of the gingerbread builds can be called stable, since the gps is very iffy. If you don't mind that then they're getting pretty good.
Any recommendation for the smoothest sense Rom?
I am currently using [30 DEC][DFT]LEO "Stock Desire" NAND Android ROM by Cotulla and would like to try a faster sense build
Thanks!!!

Im using iamgpc's build and its top quality.
Fully working apart from facebook contacts sync. Battery life is good as well but I think BT driver takes 60ma in standby so that needs knocking off when not in use.
Oh and I managed to go from V6 to V7 of that rom without loosing any user data/apps etc.
Slim

Hello,
I'm searching for the most stable and function complete android rom for the EU HD2. I searched on the forum and found some similar threads, but they are old, so maybe recent roms gained much stability.
I would prefer gingerbread and a sense UI, but if it's more stable without sense, no problem
It is more stable (and faster) without sense.
Get NDT MIUI, Typhoon or HyperDroid.
depends on what you define as stable
sense and gingerbread still has issues with the camcorder and glitches but there is a fix that disables hardware acceleration that fixes the glitches
I really root for cm7, everything is just so smooth and well functioning. I'm using launcherpro in addition, as I don't really dig the launcher it comes with. With the latest ROM I haven't had a single process being force stopped!

This is the ROM that i have on my device
Android GBLeo Build
Ist very fast, very stable and with sense
and when you want to have it smoother put a radiorom with 576MB ram hack on your device!
cm7 or ultimate droid 3.3
Cyanogenmod 7!
I will vote Cyanogenmod 7 as well and to be more specific this one:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852
Gingerbeard 2.3.5
Stable
Fast
Low battery consume (about 5-7mA)
and with some good tweaks!
Give it a try
it depends on what kind of rom you want
I for one and used many and satisfied me most is iMilk's Vision Sense v5.0
I'm testing the rom Android ROM GBLeoR3 2.3.3SENSE2.1 HD2
and so far I'm very happy you only have a small bug and Video Camcoder not 100%
Hyperdroid CM7 - best rom for EU HD2.
Fast, smooth, light and NO LAGS.
All recent sense builds lag for EU HD2
Have some one stable, fast and energy save ROM on Android 2.3.x with SENSE 3
I'm using a EU mobile and I have to say these two are the best for Simplicity, fast, Stable, and Clean ROM (my personal experience)
NexusHD2-Gingerbread V3.1a (GRK39F)(Android 2.3.6)
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905060
NDT GINGER V17.0 CM Nightly 2.3.5
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1013852
But, the only way you are going to 'know' is if you try them out.
im using mxz miui 7 ,almost perfect

What do you think about this rom?
"[30.SEP.11][MAG/cLK] TyphooN CyanogenMod 7 Nightly v3.6.7 [2.3.5][A2SD][tytung r12.3]"
Using WP7 at the moment in think abut going back to Android... I'm undecided whether TyphooN and this Rom:

I experiment with alot of the ROMs especially trying out the new Sense 3.5 ones but I always keep a copy of NexusHD2 on my memory card as I can pretty much guarantee eventually I'll come across something that doesn't work properly and end up reverting back to it. Probably the most stable ROM out there and everything works.
Using RAfdroid with sense...works perfect!!a part for the camcorder....
Yes, its good Rom. But I need Rom with HTC Sense 3...

I'm using Typhoon CM7 and LauncherPro and have the launcher force closed sometimes - especially when I switch from an active app back to the homescreen. Otherwise, it works fine.
Ok i have the HTC HD2 i been away for like a year and just come back and there seems to be new android 2.3 and that am using 2.2 froyostone sense.. so whats new then? which one would u recommend for me as there loads now cheers
Well, loads has obviously changed now. I would recommend looking here for instructions on how to start over and using this ROM, but you should obviously experiment in terms of ROMs.
suggestion: boyppc roms

I've currently installed tytung's AOSP ICS ROM for HD2, I have some issues, but it's ok... Is there any possible way to combine Sense 3 - 3,5 with Android 4?? There are many new topics about Android 4 ROM's on HD2...
Thx again

As far as I know you can't just put Sense on an Android build, that simply isn't how it works (otherwise a tonne of people would have been doing it for a while now) and if you did manage to combine those, it wouldn't be usable with just 512mb of RAM anyway

The choice is up to you. My personal preference is CM7, but if you really want ICS then go for it I guess.
Its all based on what you want on your phone. Some people like sense, some like miui while others like cm7. Look at the videos on youtube and in the post of the ROM your looking at to try and get an idea of what you want on your phone. Not to complicate things but here is a list of around 300 Android ROMs for the HD2. Most are old but even many of the old ROMs still run great and are at least worth it to look at.
ok ty very much for the info!
I donwload AOKP for HD2 but not have a config for email ? (entreprise ou activesync) ! why ?
I'm using Tytungs CM9 ICS v1.5 rom as my daily rom. Had some problems initially (hot reboots once per day) but after upgrading CWM from 4 to 5.0.2.6 (not sure about exact number, the latest anyway) its been running smoothly with an occasional hot reboot. LOVE ICS, battery life is better than my old GB rom and data usage has reduced a lot.
It's no sense but you may like it

Hi m8!!
at the present there's only one ICS Sense Rom cooking, you may find it here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1544930
But there is a great ICS Rom available (AOKP aka IceCreamTosti) which is very smooth and stable that you can try to flash:

Have a nice one!!
