Hello Guys,
i have a question about problem i have with my DEsire HD.
I've turned my device of last night and i tryed to put it on this morning, but its freezes at the white Backround Green "HTC" screen. I've taken out the battery and gave it another try, but it still freezes the same way.
I thought i can fix the problem by Updating from revolution hd 6.1.0 to 6.1.1 but at the installation with recovery mode over boot laoder ( power on + vol down ), i get an error Status 7.
I've searched google and found you have to super wipe your device and wipe the cache, ive done this and now i only can acces the Bootloader if i try to get to recovery mode, the recov mode loops.
Is there a way to unbrick my dive over H-Boot USB Plug?
Get the sdk, go bootloader, and do 'flash recovery recovery name.img'

If that doesnt work, you could always redownload the stock 1.32 rom [Download link here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=905003] and paste it onto the SD card. When booting into bootloader it should re-install the stock rom. You'll have to re-root and install recovery again.

Think I've bricked mine, when I attempt to power on, nothing happens except for 5 short battery vibrations, black screen, green battery light stays on. I have a back up but cant acces recovery to install it. Please HELP!!
Id reckon its hard to brick them nowadays

Does it respond on your USB connection ? Take out your SD card... Most unlikely it became trash what were you doing before it went black ?

This has happened to me a couple of times, remove the battery and leave it out for a couple of minutes, reboot and voila (although it might not boot to OS, you should at least be able to access recovery)
Hi. DId you fix the issue. I have 2 devices with the same simptoms, i flashed stock rom, custom roms, but nothing helps. I think problem is in radio, cause even if i flash it from fastboot and it gives me that ok is OK, radio version didn't change.
is there any update abt ur problem

Dear zadok1873, i have the same problem like you, dont know what to do..

download a stock rom(like this http://hotfile.com/dl/122907083/4aeb4fa/RUU_Ace_Gingerbread_S_HTC_WWE_2.50.405.2_Radio_12.)
go to bootloader and run .exe file
the rom will be install
re-root your device

Probably your vol+ button is stuck.

today i tried the new ROM (Argen3Stone Defy_By_UserDJ ) after that the camera didn't work so i tried to go back to my original Rom ( CM9-NIGHTLY-120402-Defy ) by using the Restore from the Recovery ( as i have done it a million times) but not after the restoring was finished the device is stuck on the GOOGLE logo..i can't go to the boot menu , i can't do anything..even the blue light isn't showing when the device starts..just as soon as i start the device it shows the ( Google logo ) and stays like that...i even left if for 2 hrs hoping for something to happen...but nothing..when i connect it to the pc..nothing changes and not even a notification on my pc ! i took off the battery for 1 hr,,nothing changed
Please help me ,, my phone isn't working at ALL..no boot menu..no recovery menu nothing..i tried to press the voulme up + the power..nothing happens
what do i do now ??!
My phone is Defy and it was running perfectly on the CM9-NIGHTLY-120402-Defy

litle bit same problem with me, my phone stuck on cyanogen 9 logo, but no bootmenu is showing.

You post is too large(in terms of fonts) to read...it hurt my eyes!!
anyways, about the issue, I guess your phone's battery in not charged. Please make sure to charge the battery using the charger and once it done then boot your phone and when you see blue LED blinking press both volume keys together... this will make your phone to boot into boot menu....now do a data/cache wipe and reboot....
However, if this does not helps then you will be required to flash with the SBF. refer to Defy Developement section - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=966537.

as for the problem,,the battery was fully charged and after the problem i left the phone on the charger for over 8 hrs...and for my friend who suggested to use the boot menu during the blue light..the problem is there is NO blue light or any light,,just as soon as i start the device it shows the Google logo and thats it..no light flashing..no options to do anything. if i can go to boot menu or the recovery menu then i can solve the problem..but i am unable to do anything..so i tried using RSDlite to install an SBF file..but the program isn't able to locate my device..
so right now my device isn't able to go into any boot menu ..nor the RSDlite is able to fix it !!!!

I'm sure you are are able to boot into the boot loader.
Follow below mentioned steps:
To Flash full SBFs, here is the standard procedure:
1. Open RSD Lite: Click on [ … ] Button and select your .SBF (Remember to rename to a short name and put it on root of your PC) and click Open.
2. Boot your phone into Bootloader Mode (check last section if you don’t know how to do it).
3. Now connect your Defy to your PC
4. The START button on RSD Lite should be available now, click and wait.

my dear friend...i don't know what to say..ur really trying to help me and i want to thank u for all ur efforts..but the RSD isn't able to detect my phone..i have used it b4 and i know how it works..but when i connect the phone to the pc nothing happens..not even a voice notification that a device has been connected..therefore the RSD isn't able to start to fix the phone..i've tried holding the vol up + power but nothing..also both vol +power also nothing..just as soon as i connect the device to the pc or the charger it instantly shows the Google logo and thats it! nothing else happens
Same issue, can't use RSD if you can't first get to the bootloader. Read a thread about using a stripped USB cable to hotwire the battery to get power to flash with RSD, but can't figure out how to link in mobile app.

I have a serious problem ,yesterday and suddenly - My dhd won't boot , just 5 vebraits and green led , black screen , Pc don't recognize the device , and can't get into recovery mode.
I tried to pull out the battery several times , tried to charge with and without the battery , with and without sd card - nothing happened. please help , I'm desperated.

Had you flashed anything prior to this happening? Any mods or tweaks? Any new apps installed? Is your phone rooted or not. Have you tried getting into recovery by using the volume down + power button after pulling the battery?
If none of the above apply to your situation then you may indeed be f****d.

Did you try to enter recovery by pulling the battery, replacing the battery and then pressing volume down and power? You didn't say if you've already tried this or not. If you have tried it and it hasn't worked what about the battery? Any chance it may have failed somehow?

it's not the battery for sure , cuase I have 4 batteries , and tried all of them , no way to get recovery , I think in the end it's hardware problem somehow , I'll sent the device to some technician hopefully will fix it with minimum cost. thank's to you all, you are greate comunity.

I actually had this issue literally last week. I bet you start loosing signal and what not too before this happened. It's basically a hardware fault. There isn't anything you can do. It's not caused by screwing with hboot or anything like that, it's just your motherboard moving on to the next life...... thank god my carrier replaced my device.
Sorry your phone is toast, call HTC maybe they'll help you out anyways. There's no way to recover, and no way to get into hboot so they can't tell you've been messing with your phone.

All i get is a black screen , my phone is recognized by the RTD Lite, I tried flashing stock software but I still get the same Black screen , and the thing is that I also get a white LED when i connect it to RTD Lite , after I finish my flashing ( I tried many stock softwares) the RTD says that the phone is rebooting but the screen just turns off and remains black , that's it..... I tried removing the battery and such, I have 2 batteries both of them are fully charged... I have all the drivers installed on my pc , I think that how this happened is I flashed by mistake a DEFY + stock soft... is there and hope ??

Before I bricked my phone , I think I flashed a SBF for Defy+ ......
is there still any hope ?
Looks like you're trying to flash an sbf with a bootloader version lower than the one you had. Flash the DFP 231 CEE sbf as suggested above. That should work.
Root it and flash one of the custom kernel builds. Hope this helps.

What did u do last did u flash and rom or any recovery root etc ?
I did not flash anything. ....
im using stock firmware from samsung i9505xxuamdm. . . even recovery is stock android recovery. . i dont even have rpot permissions
i managed to turn on my phone but i see the problem when i rurn it off or when i restart. . .
now its still not booting. . .
its like when i turn it on. . . the phone responds via vibrating but doesnt boot even the i9505 logo doesnt show up (the white samsung galaxy s4 logo before the bootanimation)

if i remember correctly the last thing i installed is quadrant benchmark
is it possible that something on the root/data/app got missing or uninstalled?
this is the first time i encountered this problem. , havent seen it before in devices that ive handled
It sounds a little like the cache is corrupted (can happen if it doesnt shut down cleanly).
I had similar behaviour on my galaxy note.
The first time I did a factory reset and that fixed it (remember this wipes all data).
The second time I tried formatting the cache partition first and that fixed it.
When I did those I was using CWM recovery. I cant recall the stock recovery options.
If all is the same between phone versions, to enter recovery you hold down home-power-volume_up til it boots.

from other posts from orher devices i have read they say its cache but the problem is when i turn it on it doesnt even boot the iniitial logo (samsung galaxy s4 gt-i9505)
it doesnt show up anything. . . screen doesnt lit up so also a problem how do i go now to recovery if the screen doesnt even turn on (the phone vibrates as a respond but the LED and the Screen doesnt lit up)
i know how to enter recovery mode. . . thats the only problem (softbricked)? this phone was bought on the official day of release

I'm having the same problem here, Cant go to download or recovery mode just vibrates when press power button but no imagem at all...
but the led turns RED when I plug the charger and now its green because its full charged I guess but still no reboot

having the same problem too
1. you still CAN go to the download mode even if screen is off (I flashed full stock but this did not resolve a problem)
2. I was able to turn on my phone after many attempts: (press power, after vibration release) - I did it about 30-50(maybe more) times and my phone boots up. But after rebooting it again doesnt turn on (again many attempts helps me).
3. I have observed - in my phone vibration turns on after 6s after power button is pressed, in a correctly working one - after 4s.

My galaxy s4 was acting all weird one day, randomly it switched off and wont turn on but keeps on vibrating it was only 3months old I thought it had some serious hardware issues because I tried all the means to resetthe phone but nothing gave me a solution even tried another battery no effect it wont turn on even if it did turn on it would randomly shut itself up within notmorethan 15min I stay in india where i9505 is not sold so Samsung officials would not take my phone for service as they feel its different from i9500 in all means I got fed up and brought myself a new phone a 5s .
A few days before I badly wanted my galaxy so sat whole day searching the internet for fixes couldnt find one . I got angry and smashed the phone hard on the table .to my surprise it gurned on (was connected to the charger ) turns out some phones have a problem with there power button and mine was one of them
I didnt get my button fixed yet but after turning on not using the power button helps . Have been working for 4 days in a row now no problem what so ever . But if I lock my phone using the power button then it tends to get the same problem again ! So guys get your power button checked
Try to fix the button with WD40, worked for me.

this is a hard bricked .its mean JTAG issue.contact with a repairing shop keeper...i have also same problem and solved in JTAG
