After much searching, i couldn't find a solution to this:
The "share" option is greyed out for emailing text.
on rooted NST, within B&N reader, after selecting text, the share button is unavailabled. Google account can't be linked because nothing happens when you try to add a "social" account.
Anybody have luck fixing this?

Forgive me if this has been done before, but I did a search and couldn't find anything. Basically, I have created a new email account in the "messaging" program on my O2 XDA Mini-S.
What I want to do, is remove this account. However, try as I might, I just can't find the option anywhere. I looked in the manual, I've looked around the web, so I thought I'd ask you guys if you know how.
I don't have any email programs on my PC, such as Outlook, if that's a problem?
Any help would be appreciated on this matter.
EDIT: I just worked out how to do it. So simple in the end, why don't they put stuff like that in the manual?
Anyway, I guess a mod or whatever can close this thread now.
ok so the answer is...
call me stupid but i still can't find the delete option... I setup a gmail account on imap in error and can't remove the account.

Open Messaging then Menu>Tools>Options>tap the gmail acount for few secs and it will give you the option to delete, and you're done.
Hope it helped.
thanks
Thanks! That did it.
I've tried a couple of TV guides from the market, and while they do the job. Is there any that can add reminders to the calender?
I've read that UK-TV GUIDE by Luke Shan does this, but I've tried a couple of shows, and done a sync all but they just dont seem to show up in the agenda.
Anyone got any ideas?
It says on it that it has a program reminder, either native or google calendar. I'm going to have a go now and see what it does. I'll get back to you.
Edit: Try opening it, press menu then settings and reminder method, set this to google calendar.
I use record it which does what you're after. The same developer has a free version which doesn't include record requests - but might have calendar entries if you check.

Ahh I see it now. I'm so used to winmo when I don't see softkey menus I forget to check the options.
OK before you respond with the "YouTube" trick, please read my message. I want to add a second account and keep getting this message. I tried the "youtube" trick and it worked, EXCEPT for the fact that it only grabbed the email and contacts. Using that method did NOT pick up the calendar. So this solution, while industrious, is not a true workaround as it did not grab everything I need. Now when I try to delete and add the account, it works great, but still does not grab the calendar. Any ideas?
I haven't been able to figure this one out. I just purchased the S7 and so far I have been very pleased with it.
When I went to setup the default Google account I wasn't able to use my Google Apps account. I could only setup the tablet with a gmail account. When I try to create the Google Apps account, the Sign In button is grayed out.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can setup my Google Apps account as the default sync account?
It is very hard to search for something like this as all of the terms are used for different things. I did read somewhere about adding in another gapps apk file. However, I don't know where to find the file or how to do something like that.
I've figured this one out on my own. The reason that I couldn't sign up for the account was the password that I was using has a comma in it and the Huawei keyboard was adding a space after the comma in my password. The box was grayed out due to the space in the password. It took me a few hours of trying everything that I could think of.
I am facing same problem and found that it does not ahve google checkin service. Tried to install googlechin.apk but it failed to install. Want to know that what can be done to rectify this.
I'd like to be able to highlight text passages and email them to myself.
It seems like the only way to do this is by highlighting text in the B&N reader, then pressing share. (and linking my gmail account)
However, the rooted NST can't do this (the field is greyed out).
can anybody tell me if this is a known issue with rooted NST? Do any of you have a way around it? I tried using cool reader, but the dictionary feature is way less slick than the B&N reader.
B&N sucks. I finally figured out that they disable emailing text from books not purchased from B&N. seriously? so stupid
