i cant get it to find the kindle with out the yellow mark so i can see what else i can do with it
you need a working communication between the computer and the kf
without that you can't do anything
if you can't get rid of the windows drivers you can try firekit:

Hello, I am new to XDA as being a member. This is my first post, and I promise I have spent at least an hour looking for similar threads to no avail.
Now to explain my problem,
Last night I rooted my kindle again after the 6.3 update that destroyed my last root. I used the Kindle Fire utility 9.5 by Vashypoo, and selected install permanent root with superuser.
As I discovered after this, I needed to get team win recovery before getting 6.3, so the KFU installed it for me, and it backed up my data before continuing with the rest of the root. After it said complete, I booted up my kindle, to find a yellow triangle and in a couple seconds, i got sent to this page automatically that I know now is the team win main menu. Every time I boot up my kindle, I get sent to the team win main page. I saw on a video by Nat3mil that the reason this was happening was because my kindle was automatically booting in recovery, so I tried to use kindle's bootmode menu to change the bootmode back to normal (4000) whenever I try, I get a message saying "The system cannot find the drive specified", and it would stop doing anything. I tried to manually set the bootmode back to normal by using command lines from a forum here on xda, similar to my problem, HOWEVER, whenever I try to connect my kindle to the pc, 9 out of ten times, my computer doesnt even recognize my kindle is connected, and when it does, it installs software, KFU says adb is online, and STILL whenever I try using KFU, command lines, or the Kindle Unbrick utility, it says "waiting for device". I literally cannot do a thing without help.... So to sum up, my problem is that I cannot connect my kindle to the computer, and second, I don't know what else to try... I really need help, and I have been doing tons of research (over six hours) to no avail, or progress.
Thank you for your time, and I hope that someone can help me.
Read this guide. It will give you an idea of what your problem is and what you are doing wrong. Its lengthy but worth it if you want do much with your Kindle, like installing recovery.

your on the right path When you get it to say waiting for device hold the power button to shut the kindle off and then turn it back on and it will connect during boot up

You see, I already read this in my expansive research. It doesnt exactly help, My computer does not recognize my device. I have manually installed the driver multiple times, my problem is not ignorance... But the thread was a bit helpful with less knowledgeable people such as myself. I do however have MUCH more experience with a lot of this than I let on by my passage above. Thank you for answering, but do you know what to do in my case? This is not a repeated thread, because I have seen nothing like this on a previous thread

fastboot -i 0x1949 oem idme bootmode 4000
fastboot -i 0x1949 reboot
It happens randomly, You see, another problem I have been having is that, My kindle has no problem connecting to the computer, in device manager, I have adb interface up and running, my kindle connected, but it isnt useable, it says my adb is offline, and whenever that happens, I cannot do a thing... There is no tred whatsoever as to how to get adb working, as it happens at random tries of me installing the drivers, and restarting my comp/kindle, do you have any idea how to get it working? Thanks by the way, You literally are a lifesaver.

I think I sounded more harsh than I meant to be. The solutions on the thread only cover one of my problems, and thats the drive thing. Thanks, you did help.

Hello.
I write to you because I have a big problem with mi LG G2 D802.
Yesterday I tried to install a CRM apk to use in a signature of the University. I was using CM11, but the apk had failed. So, I restored my ROM STOCK backup and when the phone start, a new update was downloaded and installed. Then, the phone only enter in recovery mode. I tried the different wipes, restore again ROM Stock, install again CM11 ROM but the problem was not solved.
I tried to enter in bootleader (pushing vol+ and insert the usb cable), but the phone reboot in recovery.
Now, I don´t know why, the phone is empty. I tried to restore ROM Stock backup from USB OTG but the recovery don´t recognizes the folders.
Please, can anybody help me? I need the pone!
Thanks.
Regards,
Nicolas.

Please post in correct forum. G2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
Hello everypeople
Long story short I was rooting my kindle and then I dumbed; I wiped without booting and had a faulty download, so was stuck without an OS. I looked around all the options on here and elsewhere. Not relishing the thought of having to either pay for and wait for a fastboot cable and really wanting to get the kindle sorted (comics and such to read), I persevered and eventually stumbled along this site: http://n2aos.com/#install
At the bottom of the install page is a program to restore kindles to stock from a brick or bootloop or only having recovery etc. There are forums that will explain how to use it but its pretty straight-forward and self-explanatory. As long as you can boot into TWRP you're set and the program will do the rest for you.
I couldn't find anything on this in the threads (sorry if I missed it) so thought would put this up here for anyone who's stuck and would like a quick, easy way out so you can restart you're rooting. Saved me a lot of potential time and money and seems a much easier alternative to the other restore to stock options about.
Have a nice day guys, hope this helps someone
Fastboot cable is cheaper than some guys who basically took someones hard, open source work and made it paid for.

No point in using this when you can get a fastboot cable. And if it's looping, even the software won't help you.
Mine was just stuck without an OS and was perfect for that. Also software's free and don't have to pay and then wait for cable to arrive
This worked on my Gen 1. Thank you for the link!
You are welcome sir, glad it helped.
when I plug in the kindle in to the computer and get the restore2stock running it says that the installation part which runs through "wizard installation" failed. I think that is the only thing holding me up, I have a Gen 1 kindle. Any help??
Huh. This is exactly what I'm looking for. I have a kf2 that's collecting dust with i think KitKat on it and I really just want to flash it back to the original Amazon software because I remember it performed really well for reading books and comics and watching prime video, but kinda sucks at all of that with CM installed.
Hi guys,
After a long search on XDA, unfortunately I couldn't find the answer to my problem, so need to start a new threat.
This is the case: phone is on 5.0 CM12, tried to install twrp on it via the twrp market-app. When needed to reboot phone went dead and wouldn't turn on anymore. Tried to reflash firmware but my phone won't boot into download mode. When trying to do that, my pc just opens 7 screens with removable disk E:, F:, K:, L; etc.
In computer manager it also won't show the LGE port, which I would need to use to repair my phone. I never had something this bad before. Does anyone please know what to do?
Thnx in advance very much!

Thnx mate.. only one noob question: how do I boot into Ubuntu?
I don't really know a lot about rooting either but I can tell you that you, well, have to have ubuntu installed as your OS.
anyways me and my brother tried it and it didn't really work, because the G2 was only connected to the laptop for a few seconds.
I just wrapped it up now and im going to send it back tomorrow. I hope I'm lucky... good luck with your brick

I did something incredibly stupid. Please help me out. I have a Redmi 2 Pro, and for a while, Google Camera was not working as before, and I was always looking for a fix, and then I found one: I have to add "ro.config.low_ram=false" to the build.props file.
I copied this file to I think "/storage/emulated/0/" ,edited it, and then copied it back to /system/, and then I restarted my phone, and now only the MI logo comes up.
I don't know much about Android and I've really never should have experimented with my own phone like this, I feel really stupid. This is the first time ever (probably also the last) when I do anything that needs root. I hope you can help me out! What should I do?

Yes, I've managed to solve it in the end by installing TWRP and chmodding build.prop from there, so my phone is working again! Thank you for your help.

But dont stop do anything that's need root. Sometimes u make a mistake, me too.
When for the first time I flashed custom ROM, I DID NOT INSTALL CUSTOM RECOVERY. And I brick my phone just like u. I brick my phone 5 times. fortunately I have a backup.
Soooo, don't stop modifying !
