Hi, if you plan on flashing / updating your rom, you might as well unlock by flashing with odin. That will unlock, update and improve your phone at the same time.

look in android market for something like SGS unlock PRO. if you search online you can find the free version

My 2i seems to have come with VERY old vers of radio and ROM - where's the place to upgrade em? Scoured the O2 site, nowt there, and I didn't have much luck on these forums (plus my internet connection kept dying on me) - you've obviously got more experience already than me on this, any pointers for a newb?
Hi, the Official ROM update is available from http://www.my-xda.com/xda2i.html just click software updates, you will have to enter your imei number, then you will have the updates.
There is also a modified 02 ROM of the the available ROM on 02, this is available from xda-developers website, its in uploads/alpine. This has the imate radio ver 1.03 otherwise it is standard.
looking at you current ROM ver, it is the latest you can currently get from 02 site, but as I said in previous post, there is the modified version on ftp.

I did not understand how you locked your Xda IIi. As I said I am not good at computers so you might have to speak English. Can you please post a reply or send me an email to [email protected] guiding me how to unlock my O2 XDA IIi. Or how dd you learn to unlocking it (in that week as you said) because I haven't found the entry. I will make a donation to the site if it works, rather than to O2. Thank you for any help.

This program unlocks your XDA IIi for use on any Network, not for the extended ROM unlocker.

Worked on my phone k3 T3238
unzip it then change its name to k3img.bin and copy it to sd card on phone.
Turn off phone.
hold down vol down and call (green) key and press power key to turn on phone.
it will then find image on sd card and start installing it..

This is what I used to unlock my Omnia 7 yesterday. Works great, just $20 from the fastgsm website and it unlocks via cable. FYI, I needed to install this driver before the software would see my omnia:

I unlock my galaxy SII with the appz on the android marker (after root)
Sg II unlock, it give me a code, with that i unlock my gsII.
I test with another operator sims, and it works.
After that i put a custom rom, for not have a branded gsII.
and i did a hard reset, and i sold it.
But The guy who bought my gs II saying me that the phone is not unlocked...
How can it be ? is it possible or is it a trick for cancel the command?

Please, help me - if there is any chance to recover it into a working phone? It will be so great )) I'll be so grateful for any help!

I think you will need to get the proper combination firmware for your phone, that's clear.
I'm not really familiarized with this kind of lock, but I assume that it can be bypassed, and almost sure you'll need the combination for that goal.
