Simplify Chinese Dopod 838

hi, I'm the new kid on the block and recently have bought a Dopod 838 in China with simplify chinese WM5. Would like to flash it to english and willing to share the rom but need to know how to do it.
Please advise.
All the answers are here. You just need to search yourself.
or simplily visit the pdafans forum in Chinese Language for more readable information.
Generally, the process for changing ROM's follows two steps. Unlocking and Upgrading the Rom. Find a ROM to your liking on the ftp files in the forum. Download lokiwiz and read up on it to unlock your device for foreign ROM's. Sync device (be prepared for the complete wipe of info) and run the rom upgrade utility. Look in the Wizard Upgrade Forum for more info on the ROM's themselves. Actually, right after you read this, just go to that section anyway. There's a TON more information on this subject that's quite helpful.
Thanks jose_v I'll check on that. Sorry for the late reply, just came back from a trip.
Dear huangyz, I don't really read and write chinese, that's the problem but thanks for the info.

[Q] Thai language on I9505?

Hi
I just bought the I9505 for my thai-wife in Norway, and there is not thai as and option for the menu language.
Is there any way to get this option? Can I change the firmware, and if so, which one have thai language?
Nobody can help me out here?
Hi mate,
Seeing as your original post was dated in May, chances are that you already had it solved.
However, if you still are looking for some info on how to do it maybe this post could be useful for you .....
As a newly registered user (I saw your post and decided to answer it as I just managed to get it done for my wife) I'm not allowed to post the link to my description on how I did it so just google the exact phrase "thai language for s4 gt9505" and you will find a link to a post made on a forum.
It is not a complete guide but you should be able to follow it. It is how I did it just the other day for my wife's phone which was an unlocked GT-i9505 Lte S4. Of course I did a lot of research to find those guides and files needed as there were plenty of information out there and several viable ways to do it so make sure you got the correct model and that your phone is not locked to any carrier.
Good luck

[Q] Stock firmware for UK Omnia 7?

All I can find on this topic is dead links or pointers to the Samsung website, which seems to turn up nothing with my average search skills.
Does anyone know where I can get standard UK firmware? Ideally unbranded but it doesn't really matter.
Thanks
Solved
Found it here. Keywords for searching are:

Unlock and upgrade Huawei Y625

Hi there,
this morning I was trying to find a tutorial on how to unlock my phone but to my surprise I couldn't find any information from trustworthy websites like xda. Can someone please tell me if there's a way to do it?
Aside from this, I saw a lot of fake websites offering custom roms for lollipop(the type you have to answer a survey). Are there any good custom roms for this phone?
Sorry if this is not the right part of the forum for this type of question but I couldn't find a post for this specific phone.

I have the exact same doubt! My device (Huawei Y625 dual SIM) is lacking some functions (like make video with lenses on snapchat, and so on) apparently because the OS is Android Kitkat. How can I fix it? Help me please :fingers-crossed:

Hi all nova's,
I found i think a good think to solve your problem with changing software and region.
Here a Tuto on youtube how to change them with a tool
" huawei multi-tool ".
To be clear, I haven't tested it ( on your own risk )
https://youtu.be/JyRCqO8BPgs
Warning this will brick your device, Huawei nova plus have Qualcomm chip and its different than kirin chip.
The only way is to get it done by some phone specialist.
