I flashed a Milestone2 with the following:

Everything worked fine, but when i was trying to reboot the phone after the installation of the room, it doesn't do anything. Theres just a blue Motorola Icon with a rabbit an then there is a black Screen.
I can't boot to the cwm with pressing Vol Up + Down + On/off.
Do you know, whats the issue? What can i do now?

I used the 'Flash ClockworkMod Recovery' option in Rom Manager on my phone & now i cannot get clockwork menu up when i do the power on/vol down thing.It just hangs on the green android screen & i have to take the battery out & back in again to boot normally. Also when i boot with vol up i get the same,there's no green writing which allows me to use an update zip method.It'll boot ok into the rom i last installed but thats it !

I'm also in a similar position to you. Are you sure you are holding down the menu key aswell as the +/- buttons?
all i get is a black screen when i do that

I've done it......I used fastboot with this image
recovery-clockwork-4.0.1.5-blade-gen2.img
and yahooo ! it booted into cwm 4.0.1.5

I recently flashed the cm72-120124.0859-NIGHTLY-Defy.zip, and now that i am trying to flash to cm72-120126.2206-NIGHTLY-Defy, but now when i try to boot to recovery, i get teh warning screen with the android and the exclamation point.
My phony works fine, but now I can't get into the custom recovery.
please help!

How did you entered to recovery??
Vol- on blue led i think, the custom is still there! Otherwise the phone doesnt boot

i usually just rebooted to recovery from the cm7 menu.
it's worked this way since i had cm7.1 stable, and other nightlies.

Try boot into BootMenu and then go to custom/latest recovery? Did that work for you when you tried?
If the custom bootmenu is working properly, a blue LED on the phone should briefly light up each time the phone reboots (while the Motorola logo is being displayed). As soon as the blue LED lights up, press the volume down button. The custom BootMenu should display.
If that doesn't work, you could also try this. In CyanogenMod settings, go to Interface and make sure the "Power prompt" option is checked. Then, when you press and hold the power button and select "Reboot," you should see the option to reboot into "Bootmenu."

i was able to get to the recovery menu by using the volume - at the blue light. still not sure why the reboot to recovery didn't work. it works now though.

I was using quarx cm10 on my defy (green lens) for week.
My Defy is running after updating cm-10-20130117-UNOFFICIAL-mb526.zip into a boot loop.
See picture bootloop.jpeg
I can manage to boot into flash mode (?) by pressing power + Volume down button. Droid
and exclamation mark only appears (see recovery.jpeg). There is no menu. Defy does not
appear on computer when USB cable is plugged in (lsusb on Linux). So I can't flash sbf by
sbf_flash.x
How can I flash/recover my phone. nandroid backups are available.
Need help!

press your volume up and down key both when this exclamation mark appears you will be able to enter in motorola stock recovery mode where you can wipe data and cache.:good:

Thanks that helped go get into motorola stock recovery mode.
I also just learned to press power+Volume up to get into download mode.
Stock ROM is now flashed.

I tried volume up nothing happens. Volume down nothing happens. Power button Reboots the device. also i need to control this because im stuck on the Startup screen (the robot with blue background) im gonna do a format thru recovery mode. Please need immediate Help! If you cant help me with recovery mode. might as well help me with the stuck on the robot startup screen Thanks!

The system asked my reboot the phone for intalling the update but after install it, i selected reboot system but the phone stay infinitely on the motorola red logo!!! please help me! i tried to waited about ten minutes but nothing. The led blue for enter in TWM mode don't work, and if i connet the phone on pc, nothing .....

You can have a look here under "Common Problems/Questions". Probably your 2ndboot got somehow b0rkened.
Maybe a cache/dalvik-cache wipe in stock recovery can help you (start and hold with power + vol down).
But boot logo loop often results in flashing a stock rom (aka SBF) via RSD Lite or sbf_flash. You need to boot your defy into bootloader mode (start and hold with power + vol up) and flash an apporpriate SBF.
