Without knowing the build number it is impossible to say. It could be they are releasing the exact same build that was already leaked.

They should at least fix the proximity sensor from the leaked build.

No, you must go to stock GB for the OTA.

If you are running the leaked official build, the OTA would probably work assuming it is newer depending if they have an upgrade path for that version. Otherwise you would need a full rom if you don't want to go back to GB.

If are rooted and running a custom rom, just wait for someone here to post the update as a stock rom.

This. Evo owners found out the hard way back in June/July of last year, it took about a month for Revolutionary to release an update tool to unlock the bootloader.
Reports that Google no longer supporting CDMA phones

Not willing to gamble on the OTA.

As long as the bootloader is kept unlocked I don't mind losing root.

All Nexus phones ship with a locked bootloader. It can be unlocked easily with fastboot but they don't ship unlocked.

Normally i'm excited for new ota's, especially android upgrades.. but being able to run ics on our ns4g since last october kinda ruined the feeling..

Froyo (at least by the version numbers)
..
So is the radio included in the ROM? Will we need to flash a froyo radio?
And what's else is included in it?
We supposed to flash to find out?

You don't want to flash that unless you're unrooted, it's signed and a full RUU. Be patient and wait until someone can hack at it. It's only downloading at 50KB/s @ ~400mb.
If you don't know, don't flash it. Leave it for the Devs to look at it and tinker with it.
so this is a new froyo radio?
It's the OTA ROM. It's really here for the Devs. Football releases the RUU. Devs use it as a base for there custom Roms. We download the custom Roms. It's a cycle.
I wish XDA would start creating torrents for things. Far easier to deal with and much faster. Plus, no need for server space.

If you read through the drama filled GB rumor threads in the general section (I don't recommend since there's better uses of time), the only people that think GB is coming by the end of the month are those that want to believe a rumor started by one blog and then relinked to all the other android blogs.
This is most likely just the final update to MR2 that will be the next OTA for froyo that HTC said they were going to fix up before moving onto GB for the TB.
The radio version number is older no? Unless I'm reading the file name wrong...

The last OTA was:

This one is
1.20.605.0_Radio_1.16.00.0223r_NV_8k_1.41_9k_1.64
I flashed this in Clockwork and my phone froze.. Why would it do that?

I think this is much older than the leaks we have seen. The build number is 1.20. We have seen 1.66 (46 builds newer) & a couple of even newer ones.

Yes you will loose Root but it will always be unlocked. LISTEN find a 2.2 ROM here and flash it. Any 2.2 ROM here is better, faster, more stable, and will have a better battery life than the stock 2.2. If you dont know how to flash a ROM yet then search and read. There are alot of tutorials here on how to do it. Luck homie.

Lots of options available to you. If you don't want to fiddle and simply want to improve the experience, stick with Froyo. Anything by Toxic should be great for your girlfriend as it has more themes than any other Vibrant ROM. My own personal preference is in my signature.

For jelly bean, I am sure custom rom will be released for it way before its ota reaches your device if it is unrooted. No offence to stock images, but custom made roms are way much better for the xoom. Welcome on board xoomer
And flash eos nightlies rom if you really wanna taste the real ics flavor.

flashed a rom from motorola, do you have a link?
The link I provided is step by step procedure to unlock the bootloader and flash a pre-rooted ics rom. Eos nightlies the best.
This is not an official rom from moto. But it is way much better. It is not me saying, it is community voting results.
For me, I will stick with it as I am sure team eos will release jelly beans rom long before moto pushes ota to devices. Your call at the end of the day. If you wish further assistance, that is why we are here on xda.

How would a person go about building a ROM with that information? Can you take the base build of JRO03H and add the Crespo4g binaries? I'm impatient by nature but I'd love to take a stab at compiling a stock ROM if that was indeed possible.

Probably Sprint's tower upgrades will make a bigger difference than the new radios. Look on s4gru.com for updates on when Network Vision comes to your area.

I see. Good news for NS4G users. I am guessing all they need now is just someone to compile everything. Doesnt it still need something from Sprint even tho we have binaries?
For those waiting on my build it will probably not be ready until around midnight central time. the first build failed due to a lack of drive space. 40 gigs was not enough to compile.

No that is really the stuff we wait for from Sprint, the binaries or proprietary files as they are known... The devs can apply those now to the builds they have been making. It will probably have an updated radio, etc.. Could be better, could be worse
We still don't have official factory images listed for the NS4G at Google so that will be next, but that won't stop the devs from building using those binaries.

If I knew how to compile specifically for the Crespo4g I would build away... I'm synced and binaries downloaded and extracted, installed and have about 500 GB of hard drive space ready to go on my Ubuntu 12.04 setup
Just built for the Crespo a while ago and it took 75 mins.

I just loaded these up, so far so good.
I don't have access to 4G in the building I'm in, but I seem to be pulling 3G just fine. Despite this, twisted's rom is reporting 1x now... weird. I'm sure it's just being reported wrong, as the speeds are as good (or better) than usual.
EDIT: after a (self-performed) reboot or two, the signal indicators are now being reported properly.
Thanks. Installed on ICY-S 8.5RC4 by MaceksMod. :good:

Not really "AOSP desensed" as that implies that you are removing Sense and coming out with an AOSP ROM. AOSP, yes, but not desensed. But yeah, I'd love to see what happens with it on AOSP myself, even though I just switched off my TB.
