Well the title says it all, I've tried the ROMs past V55 and they all stuck on the logo screen. Tried now ICS ROM and doesn't go past logo. I've done Task 29 and cleared every cache and format the SD and put best radio version. Nothing. help....
Did you use the right partition size? That sounds like the problem to me.
Perhaps I don't really know how to partition. I've used the 400mb recovery and partitioned a 1024mb sd folder under the add-recovery->advanced->Partition SD Card
they demanded above 180, which does raise some eyebrows.
Hd2 toolkit is ur friend.
U can task 29
Repartition
Flash
Good luck

OK, I've been reading guides for the past two days and I'm stuck. I have a US T-Mobile HD2 that I installed HSPL 2.08, MAGLDR 1.13, and CWM recovery 250mb partition. So far I have only gotten one ROM to flash and run. UrDroid Runnymede w/Sense 3.5. But it's laggy and it only has 100Meg of space available for more programs.
So I tried to flash some miui and CM7 ROMS and I can't get them to boot. Then I tried a Froyo based ROM and it went into a boot loop. I've tried 6 ROMS so far and I can't get the other 5 to boot. I clear the cashe and dalvic before every install. I also reformatted my SD card (FAT32) and still same result. It's a class 10 8Gig card.
What am I doing wrong, what do I need to change? Where should I be reading? And if possible, how can I get more space and speed on the UrDroid ROM? Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

put an EXT partition on your sd card. It wont show up as extra space, but it will be there.
Did u task 29 your nand?
Maybe, you have bad blocks.

Are you shure that all 6 ROMs need 250 mb partition? Try to use predefined recovery for each ROM.
Yea, I got a couple of ROMS to finally boot when I changed the partition size to the recommended size. But I couldn't get any MIUI ROM to boot. I was trying to verify if Task29 would clear out my Clockwork Mod or not. Wasn't sure. But I have the HD2 Tool kit. I just didn't know what partition size to use for the MIUI ROMs because they're not listed. I tried 150, 170, 180, nothing. I'm currently running a Vision Froyo ROM. Odd, Sense ROMs run but the much smaller MIUI ROMs won't.
I did put an EXT partition on the SD card. Thanx.
Task 29 clear everything but is recommended.
Try this MIUI:

Hello XDA.
I have this problem when i try to install ICS roms on my HD2.
The one i've been trying most is NexusHD2-ICS-4.0.3-CM9 V1.0.
I tried some other ICS roms as well though, just to see if they'd share the same issue (which they do).
Up untill now i've always been able to install non-ICS roms without any problems, but when i install one of these, i get stuck on a black screen with green "HTC HD2" text in the middle.
Since i've tried several android roms, i'm not a total newb at this, but I can't seem to be able to fix this.
Some specs:
Radio: 2.15.50.14
Using CWR 5.0.2.6 (tried older versions too, updated this one yesterday)
magldr 1.13
HSPL 2.08
If i can supply you with any more info, please ask ahead =)
And thanks in advance for the help!
Do you have a 200/220 mb system partition?
Could be you looked over it

i was not able to boot ics roms with my 150 mb partition. i used nand toolkit to wipe everything and rebuilded it from scratch with a new partition layout then it worked for me

In the Internal storage tab my of storage settings, my total space is 255MB.
Like everyone said, you need to partition the space as Tytung suggests for his ROM at least 200MB. If you are using the 150 MB partition from Tytung's Gingerbread ROM, then this explains why you are stuck on the boot logo. I went back to Tytung's Gingerbread ROM since I need to have a working camera/video and for some reason his ICS ROM gave me problems with access to the Gallery to see pictures that I have or took.
if i recall what i did correctly, i made my boot partition about 900MB, since i have a 32GB SD card
Dude.. the ext partition is one thing. The cwm recovery layout the other.
Ext partition in your case 900mb is for storing apps on a partition in ext3 or 4 format of your sd using an app2sd or datawsd script.
The cwm recovery layout is for taking some space from your nand(for ics im using 220mb, tytung says at least 200) to be able to flash the rom into your nand and start it without bootloops.
Try it. Install cwm and change the cfg file to 220mb system and 5mb cache.

alright alright i'm making progress here.
I did as you said and increased the space. I got slightly further now. instead of the green HTC HD2 screen, i get some colourful block animation; which i assume is the boot screen of the rom. It keeps looping tho so i'm not quite there yet..
I tried 400MB system tho, lets see if it works with 220

oh dear...
your hd2 has 512 MB NAND, then you HAVE to use something like:
system ya 200M
in your flash.cfg for CWM.
This is NOT the space of your SD-card!
Greetings.
Wolfgang
I realise that now xD Thanks a lot for the help, to all of you!
I just booted ICS, looks great =D time to have some fun!
Gave all of you a thumbs up! you deserve it

What exactly is not working? Wont boot or wont install?
First i can think of is either Task 29 or flash back to winmo and then back to magldr again
Than need for your reply Rubikum.
Sorry, I meant, it wont boot.

you using the correct partition size for the rom?
It wont boot to what? MAGLDR, wont boot past MAGLDR (sd kernal fail), not starting at all, only going to splash screen? Do you have MAGLDR installed?
MAGLDR does not charge while the phone is off and i have had a few times when i thought my phone was messed up but it was just a dead battery. If you can just try and turn it on every once in awhile to check but make sure its plugged in while doing it incase it does start it will start charging. I bought 2 spare batteries and a wall charger that charges the spares without a cable for around $8 on ebay.
check out ebay if you cant get ahold of a different battery. Its worth a try. Here's something like what i bought.
I use the right partitions. After installing rom, when I reboot, It always gets stuck on boot screen. And its not a battery problem

Do you format your sd card and do task 29? It can mess with previosly rom..
If its a rom that needs sd ext, and u have patritioned sd ext in comp, make sure its a primary/active partition, else ur ext partition wont be mounted. To check it, try mount/format sd ext frm cwm. If it fails, its secondary/inactive type.
Here it goes:- biggest one is active/primary patrition with fat32, next bigger is active/primary with ext3/4, the smallest will be linux swap.
I promise, i had encounderd the same problem in my own rom(will be releasing in 2days) which needs ext partition as a must, it stuck on boot , since i have played with my sd partitions, in comp, using mini partition tool. And formatted ext as secondary/inactive while i got my 6gb fat32 as active /primary. Then i found that my phone cant mount ext, by above said cwm check. So i formated it to active. And rom booted.
The simple way to format is using cwm.

I agree with showlyshah. Normally if your stuck at the boot screen its because the partition was not set up correctly. I personally use and suggest Mini-Tool Partition Wizard. Its free and works great. You can download it here from cnet downloads.
my phone is stuck at the boot animation of every rom i try to flash.
i've tried
task 29
other roms etc.
do you guys have any idea?
what rom did u want to install? are you done with sd card partitioning and use right size of recovery?
i would like to install the newest miui android rom.
i've set the partion in magldr on 220mb and i've partioned my sd on 512 mb.
Which one sd or nand version , what is it called?
And what steps did you take to install it?

the safest way is by partitioning the sd card using the recovery and set it to 1024 mb. maybe u can use biggest value of recovery than 220. read carefully the thread of the rom that u want to flash. set the correct value of recovery given by developer of the thread
i thing u want to flash this rom right??http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1541136

Anyone get to the bottom of this?
Myself and another bloke at work here have the same problem.
No matter which rom i flash it gets stuck at the boot animation screen, not the Green on White HTC screen.
Nand partition is set to 400mb and using Clockwork have set SD partition to 4092 or there abouts.
Any help appreciated.
Anthony.
I came here to get my answers directly from pro-devs.
I was using paranoid v1.5b ROM and had a 8GB card and this one was from a Desire.
Yesterday I bought a 16GB SD and just to be secure I wiped anything on the HD2 (task 29) and flashed MAGLDR......I mean the procedure how it should be.
I flashed in CWM the same ROM that I mentioned but now I am stucked in bootloop.
That happened to me the first time with my HD2.
Can anyone please tell me the whole procedure and what I did wrong?
Help is much appreciate
Why did you have to task29 nand? Did you mean you wanted to format the sdcard? I don't see what formatting the nand has anything to do with the sdcard..
Double check your system partition sizes. I think that may be causing you bootloop.
