Hi all. Ofcourse you all know mine file server on xt720.ru
Now, i'am asking you - what links i should mirror to it?
So if multiupload and other service that we use are down - we don't lost our info?
I have many storage place.. so it won't be a problem...
So, please, post some links =)
xvilka recently uploaded many of the XT720 sbf's to the droid-developers mirror (at least the ones I had):
http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umts_sholestablet/list.php
I also sent him 3 motoroi ones, but I just noticed they don't seem to have made it...
Hi!
Thanks for kind offer... well,...IMHO, I would like to suggest backup of the basebands, and also the modified ROMs that were tested as the more stable, since we may have the original for recue purposses and the better modded versions for flashing the betters.

Hi all,
is it possible to save the original ROM before trying to install a new one? I need this because my provider doesn't support me with an original ROM of my MDA 3 compact (T-Mobile). Or can anyone support me with the original ROM? Do youi need further information for this (used versions or so)?
btw i was searching the forum for this and found a lot, but it seems to be quite hard and not working always. So is there no tool that backups everything, just like a total dump?
kind reg,
astrakid
did you lookup the ftp? I think I saw it there ones
unfortunately i am not sure if they are identical to the roms i have installed. is there a way to find it out?
kind regards,
astrakid

Since Suny (Samsung's official distributor in Israel) censored the links to their official roms on the Israeli owned forums I decided to open this thread so we Israeli users can have a source for downloading official roms.
All official operator roms have full Hebrew/Arabic menus and keyboards with full RTL support.
Please leave this discussion clean and in English.
The roms will be listed from oldest to latest.
If you found this usefull, please hit the "Thanks" Button!
How To Flash Official Roms

NO!!!
We have discussion threads with links to firmware for other countries so why not Israel?
Just didn't want to double post
Can I use the links from your thread? All the Israeli community will be greatful
Yes sure, I don't mind at all.
The Israeli Android Community (IAC... ) is already grateful!
Thank you firefds for this thread and you Intratech for the sources.
You guys are doing a great job. Thank you.
The firmware archives have no password, just the stock kernel archive does.
Thank you firefds and Intratech.
Which modem included in the Orange & Pelephone roms ?
Thanks !
Firefds,
By the way, the link to the Orange Rom in the other thread is to the older rom, while yours is to the newer rom (the one with KG3 in one of its parts, rather than KG2).
It might be a good idea to ask for an update in the other thread (if the rom is indeed different).

I used the Orange one before changing the ROM. It's good.
And I believe the other 2 are good as well. No reason for them not to be.

Does DX sell phones??
Anyway, they should work on all SGS2 phones.
links are dead
please upload again
Yep, it looks like Israeli carriers are being nazi about the firmware being available. Why?
I'll work on re uploading the files but please don't go posting them on Israeli board or they will take them down again. The carriers are reporting them as breaching copyright.

One question guys. I am not from Israle, but I am learning Hebrew.
Is there a way to get the Hebrew language on a UK O2 phone?
I would like to add hebrew to swype and the phone itself.
Hey guys,
I'm currently trying to decide bewteen 1.97.00 or 1.77.30 for my baseband. I WAS on 1.97.00 but I wasn't sure if it was faster or not or doing anything so I CWM'd my 1.77.30 back on, but now I can't find working links for 1.97.00 anywhere anymore.
I'm specifically looking for this one in the OP for AT&T:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1128963
None of racca's links are working. Thanks for anyone who can upload it or make a CWM file for it. I've searched long and hard for a CWM of the 1.97.00 and I'm surprised there are none (even though some people claim they have used it). Thanks in advance.
I never found the CWM but I had no problem flashing the radio with RSDLite.
(and I used the OTA GB update). Use at your own risk, of course
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1153003
Post 1; it is the suggested radio..
Link is to racca but it works I just tried it using Filesonic
Oh weird. It wasn't working for me earlier.
Can someone please upload a CWM zip of the 1.97.00R radio pretty please?
thanks
(Edit 07.11.2011: I was able to extract and modify the ROM. Send me a PM after reading the thread if you want the download link.)
Hi everybody,
I am sorry to post this in the General section, but the forum would not let me post to the appropriate threads of the developer forums as apparently I am considered too noob. Anyway ...
I have an Iconia A500 on Acer_A500_4.017.07_EMEA_CUS7, rooted with IconiaRoot.
I am being offered the OTA update to Acer_A500_7.006.01_EMEA_CUS7, but do not want to install because I would loose root.
So I would like to download the ROM from the Acer website and modify it according to the procedure listed here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18202192&postcount=19
I looked into this thread for the download link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=14501467&postcount=1
Unfortunately, the link I need is not listed there. Does anybody know the link? Can I somehow extract it myself (I have root access and my A500 offers to update)?
Thanks a lot for your help!
Cheers,
Tim
Is it possible to accept the download and then halt the process once the download is complete? And then to copy the rom to your pc to fiddle with?
Sent from my A500 using xda premium
Hi,
I suspect that the download link might be extractable from the LogCat once I accept the download. But I am not sure if I can cancel the update process completely once I have accepted. So I am hesitant to try.
Cheers,
Tim
I understand if you just want to do it yourself. However, if that isn't the case this rom is all ready to go. Stock with only superuser and busybox installed. I've been using it for a while and it is rock solid.
There is another one too. I didn't try it out but, from the feedback I read, it is also working great for most folks...
Hi, and sorry for replying so late (I was on travel),
thanks a lot for the links, JdgM3NT4L! It is not that I actually _want_ to modify the stock ROM myself, but I have a European version of the A500 (EMEA_CUS7) and am therefore hesitant to just install a ROM based on a US version of the A500. I am not sure if there are actually any significant differences, but do not want to risk it.
I think I found the information on how to extract the path of the update in one of the threads of the developer forum (sorry, I don't remember exactly wherefrom):
3. Start a system update on the A500, and let the download start.
4. Start the Terminal Emulator (vt100), and type su . Then cd to the /cache area.
locate the file name of whats being downloaded. In my case: Acer_A500_1.141.07_4.010.11_COM_GEN1_1311224632952 _461992b1
5. Then on the PC create a full http path and do a download of the URL contructed
using the file name in your cache directory. Example:
http://cdn.acer.futuredial.com/Acer_...2_461992b1.zip

I think I will try that. If it works I will report the download link here.
Cheers,
Tim
Hi again,
it worked like a charm. Here is the link:

The MD5 is: B80BB5A64BD694F1D615D4D3DD60C19A
Next I will try to modify the ROM according to these instructions:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18146210&postcount=1
Cheers,

Glad you got it. Good luck.
Hi again,
ok, I modified the ROM according to kekinash's instructions. It turns out the update script in the EMEA_CUS7 ROM is _not_ identical to the one in the COM_GEN2 version!
In line 27 of the script there is a very long entry starting with "retouch_binaries(...)". A handful of the entries in this long line are different in the EMEA_CUS7 ROM. I therefore replaced the line in kekinash's script with the one from the EMEA_CUS7 ROM. Everything else was identical.
I installed the ROM on my A500 and so far everything seems to work fine. But I will have to test it further to make sure there are no hiccups.
I guess other european users might be interested in the ROM image, but I am not sure if I can upload it or infringe any copyrights by doing so.
Cheers,
Tim
Hi,
My english is not good, so I hope you will understand.. I would be very much interested in your modifyed rom. I read the thread about unpacking and modifying, but I dont understand how to do it, possibly because of my poor english. maybe you couldt upload only the modifyed file, which I should change.
thanks
Udo
Hi Udo,
I will send you a PM with a download link for the modified ROM image. If anybody else would like to have it, please just ask and I will send you the link.
I played around with the ROM for some time. Generally, everything seems to work just fine!
One problem I encountered, though, was that the android web browser crashed badly and I had to reboot the tablet to fix it. Since then it worked fine. Also, Google Maps gave me a strange behaviour at some point: It just exited repeatedly without any error message (no force close). I do not know if these issues are related to the modified ROM image or if their appearance was just a coincidence. If anybody tries the modified ROM, I would be happy about feedback!
Ok, and the following is obvious: I take no responsibility whatsoever for any problems you might encounter when flashing this ROM image. Also, please follow the instructions given in kekinash's thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18146210&postcount=1
Cheers,
Tim
Hi again,
I updated the thread title so that people looking for the ROM have a chance of finding it.
Here is some more information. The MD5 of the modified ROM image is: D423B84727BFD91429490D319F30998F
In the meantime, I have tested the A500 with this ROM much more. The browser has not exhibited any further problems.
Google Maps continued to act up (kept quitting without error message repeatedly). In the Market, it was listed under "Not Installed", and I had the options "Install" and "Deinstall updates". Both options did not do anything at all. So something was clearly wrong. I still cannot say if this was related to the modified ROM or some other problem. Anyway, here is how I fixed it:
Removed Google Maps with Titanium Backup. Reinstalled from the Market. Converted it to System App again with Titanium Backup. Everything works fine now.
Cheers,
Tim
Hello there. As always, I've got this weird thing for unpopular devices, and mostly breaking them.
This time it's about an Evolio X-Watch M ... or actually it is called Y1 (Yeah, it's another one of the Chinese Rebrands)
Anyway, many of the functions were broken from stock so I tried to install a few different firmwares on it. Most of them were acting weird but after a lot of work I managed to get my hands onto an Y1 firmware. Problem is that after flashing it my touchscreen stopped working.
Now, I guess my best chance would be to get my hand on the files needed to rebuild/build a MTK6261 firmware. So I was wondering if anyone around here could guide me around a bit since it's kinda hard to find stuff for MTK systems. Most of the things I found are mostly outdated.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone could help me troubleshoot the touchscreen problem, or guide me around to the materials needed to cook my own MTK6261 firmware.
If you need more info please tell me and I'll try to provide anything I can.
Below you can find the files I used to install the firmware. It's mostly scatter-file stuff so I don't know it'll be much help to you. I was wondering if I could use those in any way to rebuild the firmware.
Help me!
